Hi everyone!
I'm using a1 kernel since it came out and i know that in one version the problem Was solved, i think it was in 1.5.3, but after that i keep having the same problem with the very last version 2.2. Maybe i'm missing something, could anybody give me a hand? Thank you very much
EDIT:
OK guys problem solved, i just installed us stock deodex rom wich you can find into the android development thread, after that, wipe cache and dalvik and flash a1 2.2 kernel and the problem seem to be gone. No more draining battery in sleep mode
Not experiencing this myself. Try posting in the Dev thread and get the dev's attention.

I was using stock ics from uk. But yesterday i switch to infamous 1.2 and it seems like the problem its gone. I have to make some test and ill tell you. Thank you for your help dude.
I was getting loads of drain even when in deep sleep and even on stock the Kernel too, so I don't think it's A1 causing the issue, just to test, I removed Google+ since then I don't get half the drain I had before, perhaps you could try that.
Swyped from my finger to your face, on my Samsung Galaxy Note.

I was thinking something similar, some app can be the cause of this but not google + because i dont even have it. Im going to leave the tablet for 2 hours and see if battery drops or not. I'll tell you.
Another thing you can do is check the Data Usage area in Settings...it gives you that nice breakdown of how much data apps are using both when active and in the background. Perhaps you have another data hogger running that you don't know about. I'm on Infamous 1.2 as well with A1 1.5.9XE and don't have many complaints about battery...when it drains quickly it's because of me keeping the screen on all day
as other said here, even stock kernel has problem with battery drain. you know what I found out that it is better battery usage and excellent stand by when I got flashed JB ROM. I believe it is related to Android OS up until JB, it seems like Google fixed a lot of things.

I have same problem with A1 Kernel 2.2 +. about 2 % drain each hour.......
I tried to downgrade to 1.5.9 tonight, let see the result............

Btw the test with cm9 and a1 2.2cmwifi was great, not even a 1% in 9 hours.
Today i will test the ics stock kernel+rom to make sure its not a problem of them.

Ok thats good, but i remember having drains with 1.5.9 even, maybe its an app that is causing this drains... yeah and i think know what app is.
Anyway im in cm9+a1 and its running better than stock rom and without any drain for now. Even that ill continue tests just to find out whats the real cause.
Noted and thanks.
I will try the stock rom in XDA instead of official site......

For me that solved it. You must use the deodexed, zip aligned us rom available in the development section. It might also work with the UK rom, but I haven' t tried that.
But if you are on stock you won' t loose anything as there is no need to do a full wipe.
BTW, you must flash that rom from CWM recovery not from Odin.

I'm finding my battery is better with a GE ROM, but nothing dramatic. You loose all the 'samsung features' like AirView, smart stay etc, so none of that is present or running. The UI is far snappier and the frame rate is excellent compared to the TW ROM.
The screen is the real battery killer and that's not changed obvioiusly so you'll get the usual 4ish hours screentime. The always scanning WiFi in 4.3 is another battery hog and google location services are a joke in this regard. With them switched off I get the usual full day of life from the phone plus another couple of hours I'd reckon.
I'm very happy with the GE rom for now but I do miss a few little features that TW had! The great thing is you can always Dual Boot or just flash back to stock!

Not bad...I've only flashed Slim thus far, stable (for me) running Lean Kernel, It's still early in the game, so from what I"ve seen/read, pretty much a stock 5.0 feel with minor tweaks would be the best way to describe them... :good:
Can't wait for Slim on the N6! Hurry please!

It has center clock and color change for clock, double tap the notification bar to sleep, is very great on battery, smooth and snappy. It's great to have slim back on my device. Plenty more to come....

This rom is decrypted so seeing as you have to do a factory reset to flash it, you might as well go decrypt your phone. I used wugfresh method, easy peasy and flawless.

If this rom has a "no force encrypt" kernel, then you will just need to format data after you install. Format data will delete everything so back up to your pc anything you think you might need.
So if I decrypt the phone I can flash ROMs without deleting my data

"Format data" either through recovery or fastboot is the only way to remove the forced encryption. If your data partition ever gets encrypted, like flashing a kernel that is "force encrypt", then you may need to do it again. Just make sure you know what you are flashing.

Are you getting better battery life than on stock? I'm generally curious as to whether these AOSP ROMs improve battery life.
It's a battery sipper ?
Posted from a Nexus 6 running Slim Rom
Hello, I am looking at rooting my phone, but I am very new to this (in fact, this is my first Android phone) so I cant really tell the differences completely between these 2 ROMs.
I am looking to get the best performance possible. Best battery life, optimal performance, etc.
Which ROM do you prefer to do this? Superman ROM or Renovate Edge? Or a different ROM completely?
Sorry for all my questions, but any information will be immensely appreciated.
Thanks!!

Wait I am going to create a guide to get awesome battery life with Lineage 13 you can expect 6 Hrs of SOT with really heavy usage(1:40 mins of COC,3 Hrs of tv show watching and 1 hr calling)

Kernel Devs have to work and both of the custom kernel has been stopped so I moved out to eui 26s which shows 0% drop down in battery during deep sleep mode. I still didn't found what causing kernel wakelock in custom roms. So, eui is good during night no battery drop. *Profit*
