Hey Guys,
I realize there's no iPhone section here, however I'm certain there's some capable iPhone devs that do hang around this site. We're looking for an experienced iPhone dev that is capable of building apps that utilize some of the additional capabilities available on Jailbroken iPhone devices.
If that's you and you have some free time on your hands, drop me a PM. This will be project based to start, but certainly could develop into something more permanent down the road.
Cheers!
Josh
what team are you with? what kind of apps?

Hey hashcode I know you have many other projects going on, but I was wondering if there is any chance you would help out with the HTC amaze. I a, in the Georgia army national guard and would be willing to contribute at least 100 dollars seeing as I am being deployed here shortly. The source code was just released and I would kill for AOSP because I cannot stand sense. If not I understand. I just thought I would give it a shot seeing the great work you've done with the fire.
This is more appropriate for a PM.

No disrespect to Hashcode but I believe he has a different mobile device that he's producing for. And he's already pioneered change for the kindle fire, there are other devs that have worked on the Amaze and made great progress, like EclipzeRemix has made some awesome AOSP based ROMs for the Amaze. =] You should try them.

I'm using speedrom now lol. Its mostly aosp but it still runs off sense. I guess the main purpose of this is me being impatient and trying to bribe someone to do it faster lol.

You can buy a book to help you. It's called: XDA Developers' Android Hacker's Toolkit: The Complete Guide to Rooting, ROMs and Theming
Nothing to see here. Move along peeps!
I am all for more development, but this feels like a slap in the face to the current developers who work hard to put out roms like CM10 or Redemption or Trainwreck and whatnot. If this guy wants a note, he can buy one. Lets donate to the developers who are already spending their time making the roms and tweaks for our device.

You're way off base. Scott spends allot of time developing now.
If people want development on another device, and the developer is willing with a donated device, then why not?
This is not a new idea.

Exactly. He spends time developing for other devices. Keep in mind that what I stated is merely opinion.

Hello everyone! Today I am here to start a bounty thread to get Scott aka scrosler a Galaxy Note 10.1! For those who aren't familiar with Scott or his roms, he is the developer of 'CleanROM'. A fast, reliable rom based on stock that is constantly maintained by Scott himself! I personally run CleanROM on my Verizon Galaxy S3 and love it so much that CleanROM should also be on my new toy, the Galaxy Note 10.1!
NOTE: Scott will be receiving the N8013 variant of this tablet!
To get a sense of his development with other devices, head over to his official website: http://www.scottsroms.com/content.php
To donate, head over to Scott's Paypal in the link below and post the Unique Transaction ID AND how much you donated in the post so I can keep track at how much we raised.
ALL donors will be listed in the OP with specifics for organization purposes!
Bounty Goal:
Raise up to $500 for Scott to receive a 16 GB Galaxy Note 10.1 with a color of his choice.
Together, we CAN do it! Let the donations begin!!!

Stupid question. He just stopped supporting the TF700 so he could focus on the N10. Why would he be interested in the Note? And if he was, why couldn't the same thing happen to the Note that happened to his support of the TF700 too? Scott's great and I've used his stuff since the WinMo days but buying a device for a dev with limited time doesn't guarantee their support. Has Scott himself made any type of commitment to the Note or is this a Field of Dreams "build it and they will come?"

I asked him if it was possible to support the Note 10.1. He said it's not too hard to make a rom. He even suggested to me to start a donation thread (which I obviously have) so he can support it and he said that 'he'll be all over it.' Here's what he said to me regarding devices he receives by donations: "I can only buy these fun toys with the donations I get from the community. Sadly I am not rich and rely on donations to update to the latest and greatest!"
So my guess is that the majority of devices he supports and develops are from donations anyway. I own two devices that he currently develops for (VZW S3 and Nexus 7) and they both are heavily supported by him. I would also assume that he'd support the Note 10.1 just as much.

Bounty threads are not permitted yet they are all over XDA. Anytime HTC releases a new device there are always bounty threads to achieve s-off.

i'd go for supporting the guys who have bought one, but buying one for someone
Not heard of him and didn't see him doing any roms for the s3 and there is cm10 and other good roms anyway and from your explanation the rom you're trying to promote really offers nothing new.
How do we know you're not just wanting us to buy you a note?
Besides if his roms were that great he wouldn't have to ask for hand outs

I wasn't expecting to be getting this kind of response. But if you guys feel that this is some kind of insult to other Note developers and think this shouldn't be done on XDA, I may as well have this thread closed.

well i totally agree for a donation for Scott. I know theres rom like CM10 and everything but the differences with scott roms is that his roms are 99.9% bug free and fast and stable

You're asking people to buy him a note to install a rom that just basically offers aroma install that you can choose what apps you want and don't want.
Isn't just using titanium backup and freezing apps you don't use the same thing?

Hey,
I'm curious if anyone had the ability / the interest to port the new multi-view feature of the Galaxy line of tablets/phablets to the nexus 7
Thanks
Think this may have been already posted in another section of these forums but yeah would be good to see

I asked this too few days ago. I guess this would be easy to someone who knows how to
make needed changes to SmartView-program. Sadly I'm not capable to do things
like that. Don't have any programming skills.
"maybe we'll get it in the next one?"
all joking aside. this would be cool to have. if only Samsung would release some of their cool apps/features to the Play Store.
Referesh! Any progress?
is anyone able to port this to nexus7?

There are cheaper gaming options, but hope they do well

Is it possible that all these amazing devs, none of them can come up with some original idea? 5 years, same old cm features.

Hi,
Develops and compile your own rom with what you want in it... with your original idea... but where are they?
Criticism is good but it must be constructive, submit your ideas to the CM team or to any other devs..., I'm sure you have many original ideas with a thread like this one...
You like these kind of threads, right?

I would rather not "develop" anything than uploading some rom that simply changes the way the settings in the menu are sorted. I understand it hurts you, but that is the truth. CM has been the same for 5 years and consequently all the "original" roms based on it are exact same stuff. PA and moles and his team are the only ones that have come up with something interesting. The rest simply keep posting the same rom in different devices for 5 years now.

Woah dude seriously? All the hard work devs put in and you cant even be grateful for what you get. All these brilliant roms you get for free as well. It's not as easy as just thinking of an idea and putting it in, things are much more complex than that. By all means suggest things but don't criticise, that's uncool

Maybe you should check out the newest features of aospa. Their per app dpi and color with the new toggle is the best new feature I've seen.

I agree. In fact, I mentioned that moles is the only one bringing something innovative. I also know that the PA team got something cool and refreshing for us in the future. That is what users want to see I believe.

one problem is the versions of android. every time android is updated, the cm team starts off from scratch. many of the same old features from previous versions, has to be made compatible with the newer version. this takes time. the cm devs dont do this full time, they do it on their spare time. by the time everything is up and running, another version of android is up, and they start from scratch again. there are a few new features added here and there, but this all takes time. and i want to correct you, there are many features that were added since the original cm, its not the same for every android version. also, some features have disappeared because android doesnt allow them anymore.
Why not become one of these amazing developers and bring some of your original ideas. Vice creating a thread of this manner....Thread Closed & Thank You.
