Hi Everyone
Hope I can find someone to help. I've been looking for a sense rom that works without thhe need for the whole data2sd, or scripts etc - (kinda like the First DFT Nand Rom)
So I got my wife a Wildfire S -> and the little thing just works. So i thot why not try to port the snappy little os to my big hefty HD2
I have downloaded and set up dsixda's kitchen on my win7 x 64 laptop and am ready to start cooking. I have a rough idea about what files go where etc (from flashing kernels etc) but porting a whole rom?!! daunting for a tech enthusiast.
So I want to keep it as stock as it is on the Wildfire S - jus change the drivers etc so my HD2 can run it.
Where do I begin?
I've extracted the rom and also have a working rom from Energy (best sense i can think of to use a base + also flawless working cam and camcorder).
Please help
Thanx everyone

I guess.... you are using a base rom from HD2 or rhodiium and guess you have a HD2 or rhodium... maybe you can start learning about wich pkgs are needed to run Sense 2.5 maybe you have a bad or not so good oem version.

Hi
Is there a ROM Upgrade (ANDROID 2.1 or 2.2) for HTC TOUCH HD?
I know there are some files like haret.exe but i like to do it with this
program: rom update utility
( you can search it on google images)
I have upgrade my HTC TOUCH HD to htc touch hd with sense
and now i like to do that but than with android!
Is that possible????
Thanks a lot
and so sorry for my english !!
no, currently there is no complete stand alone nand android rom for the blackstone since it is not yet stable and many features are not working (like bluetooth or 3.5mm). but afaik it is being worked on so there might actually one day be a full android rom for the nand instead of the sd card.
Moved thread to android section

Hey,
I'm sry about my question (and my english, just got "school-english-skills" from Germany, a few years ago ), tried to do the search but found nothing I'm able to understand...
A good friend of mine has a HTC HD Touch (Blackstone?) and wants to flash a "stable" Android Version on it. I'm able to flash the HTC Magic, Wildfire, Desire & co. but I'm not able to understand what I've got to to, wich files I need and what I should do with that.
Could anyone help me ? Linked files that I need and a short instruction would be very very great !
(Please do me a favour and don't say something like "use search" and so on, I need to understand what I have to do with wich files )
Many thanks in advance
There is no flashable android rom for Blackstone yet
exactly. as of now, there is no android rom for the internal flash (nand) to replace the current windows mobile os. but there are still ways to get android working alongside winmo, by simply putting it on the sd card.
basically, what you need is a rom, haret and ts-calibration+startup.txt.
for the rom itself, there are dozens of different roms around this very forum section. look for the most recent ones and compare them by the features needed. some of them hardly have any support for the blackstone hardware, when it comes to camera, sound, BT, 3.5mm jack, calling... and are purely for fun and apps, some others are more suitable for everyday use. make sure to read a few posts of user feedback to get what you want.
most roms come with their own haret package (the winmo program to boot android), which, like the rom itself, needs to be extracted to the sd card root.
ts-calibration is the file needed to store the touch screen calibration, so you don't have to align it yourself, which can be tricky in android.
startup.txt stores the boot commands, which can be altered to your needs, have a look at a few of them and pick the best one (which seems difficult at first, but you can search any command in there to find out what it means). some come with overclocking or different values which can speed up or slow down the device, it set wrong.
and, to sum it all up, here is a tutorial thread describing the whole installation (well, copy) process:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959831
it is not completely up to date, but you can use the same tutorial, the same haret, ts-calibration and startup for other, newer roms, like blazn 2.2.2 or whatever you want.
Hi all,
I always use a custom rom from others, because there are many people cooking for the devices i had, butt now i return to my htc touch 3g or htc jade and see that the roms are old.
I try cook to my topaz once and i remember that i change sys to have the newest release of win mobile 6.5.
i don't remember the kitchen i use.
I want ask wich kitchen i use to cook win 6.5 in my htc jade?
thanks
jade kitchen is here dude
thanks for your answer, i already made a kitchen with oskitchen, and eliminate some packages and try and it and run on the jade.
Now I'm try to see witch build is the recent one of win 6.5 with the bottoms in the inferior corner and putt it run.
Thanks
np dude,
the latest WM6.5 builds are here
you will need to ask which is the most recent build.
thanks i will seach the build, and then try to port things from htc mega to complete the rom.

(im thinking about porting my blackstone rom to Artemis, a big job though, plus ill need to fix my Artemis )
yes butt are to different models and with very different memory's and all.
butt htc jade and htc mega are very similar, had the same processor, memory is bigger in htc mega...
i will try port some apps and things, i have to search about that, because there people who have did that...
yeah i know what you meen dude, some stuff can be copied to artemis, or slightly modified for it.
(it wont be for a while, but definatly thinking about doing it.. another project )
so, do you know how to port things from other devices? can you help me port the htc mega things to htc jade?
id have to learn how to port. im not pr0.
stuck in the same boat as you dude..
Which android or WM 6.5 rom for HTC Touch HD is the best for me to use? I mean, that it has everything working(Im thinking of using WM 6.5 for everyday use, and Android purely for apps and wifi (browsing, facebook, YT(optional), and maybe some music). I'm thinking of putting custom 6.5 rom in my HD. So, can some1 provide me with the best ROM out there and a tutorial to flashing it? I already know how to put Android on phone, just need a nice ROM.It would be great if you could only copy/paste ROM threads. Thanks. And sorry if i violated something on website, but im fairly new, and cant really understand all those tutorials.
P.S. Is HD running WM 6.5 rom better than it running WM 6.1?
Thanks again guys, im really gratefull ^^
WM for battery life
Android is only running properly on SD card builds - so you can have both easily enough.
I like WM6.5 but some say that WM6.1 is faster overall.
Depends what you want.
My blackstone is my work mobile and I have WM6.5 EDGE SWIFT rom on it at the moment, works well - I just need basic functionality out of it really, but battery life is very useful!
I'd love an Android NAND rom on it sometime though
the EDGE rom thread has a tutorial link in it - but the general gist is probably for WM roms:
1) update with HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex (may be slightly different - check the tutorials first!)
2) download BlackstoneAdvancedRUU
3) find and download the rom you want, extract the .nbh and put it with the BlackstoneAdvancedRUU.exe
4) run BlackstoneAdvancedRUU.exe, task 29, run BlackstoneAdvancedRUU.exe again, task 28 and select your nbh file from the list
follow on screen instructions at all times.
you might want to flash the RADIO: HD_1.17.25.09.nbh too if you havent already got the latest radio...
Ok, i managed to somehow install WM 6.5 and its working well , got iGo on it, and some other apps. Now, which Android is the best for things i posted in my previous post?
(web browsing, music, apps) It doesn't need to have working camera, because i dont really use it, and if i needed it, i'd use it via WM 6.5.
P.S. is it possible to watch movies (.avi; .mkv; etc.) on WM 6.5 and Android?
P.P.S How to connect my phone to PC via WM and via Android?
P.P.P.S What's the status of Android Market's games and apps on Blackstone? Are they all working?
Thank you very much
Hello Guys ,
I found some cool stuff in the Universal and Vogue/Nike forums , here full working Cyanogen Mod working on our Athenas . Only not working are wifi/gsm and the cameras but if there is some Linux expierenced People out there the camera model is 4VL if sb can do sth with that. And as you know there are some windows mobile phones with working Android from NAND : X1, Vogue, Kaiser, Nike and some others. So here ´s the plan , sb who knows how to extract the to .nb files will replace the zImage stuff and so on with the Athena ones and yes were Finsished
If sb knows how to ectract the nb let me know it please, and maybe sb can contact the Athena Project People they surely wil know who to .
