I had rooted my n7 with wug's toolkit 1.5.3 without flashing the CWM Recovery
everything works fine, i can find my superuser, but when I follow the guides here and installed market unlocker and droidvpn
I can access US play store, but I still can't use any of the Books, Magazine, Movie apps
when I go to the app page, the place where update button or install button are blank
should I re root my N7
or anything wrong in my root process?

I'm from germany, and i have a galaxy nexus. The ROM i have includes Magazines+ Movies but they are not in the app-drawer. There was an update recentely for these apps and i got the same effect as you (no update button or any other button in the market). That happened because the apps are frozen (meaning they are there, but don't show up anywhere). Once i unfreeze them with Titanium Backup, those buttons in the store appear. Maybe this is also what is causing the buttons to not show up on your device.

I rooted my nook with my touch nooter when it has first arrived 3 months ago.
I've never bothered to update v.1.01 but now with release of v.1.1 I give it a go,
I've done 8'th failed boot type factory reset then installed the v.1.1
The thing I'm puzzled about is I still have the Go Launcher EX, Dropbox and other apps I've installed prior to reset and v.1.1 same time. But there is no market, and device settings as of an android device.
It's not rooted but still the major app "dropbox" and other pdf readers stays.
Is this a violation of any kind?
You need to do an L+R reset in order to get rid of all that stuff, which is under /data, as well as your settings. Turn on the nook, and then when it starts to turn on, hold the bottom page turn buttons on each side of the nook until it asks you to do a factory reset. Click the home button twice, and the reset will commence. Once you're done, you'll have to re-register your nook, but unless you changed something outside of /system and /data, I think you'll be golden.
Try talking to ros87; he's been extremely helpful and unobnoxious, in spite of my obvious n00bness

Factory Restore only restores the system files, it doesn't wipe your /data and that is why you still have your apps.
The Google apps resides in a different place (/system/app) and is therefore normally lost on Restore.
Use the method outlined above or simply go into Settings->Device Info->Erase & Deregister Device which will remove all apps, data and settings for you.
Well, I'm happy that I have them,
After I've sent prior message I've used touch nooter as GabrialDestruir's suggested method, using prior data to root:
"If you're pre-1.1 rooted this SHOULD work:
Run a Factory Restore to wipe /system only - 8 failed boots, or nookRestore image
Run the 1.1 update as is from B&N
Open TouchNooter and remove framework.jar from the TouchNooter disk
Run TouchNooter without 1.0.1 TouchNooter
Go through all steps for Market/Gmail/Youtube
You SHOULD be rooted with working market now"
Now I have SUPER USER, gmail app starts recieves mail but force closes , youtube app worked for sometime after re-installing the app but now it forcecloses....
Market and the market search however works.
Button Saviour and all works either.
Now I got a rooted nook 1.1 I think...

Glad you got it solved mate
New TouchNooter is also right around the corner, maybe that will fix your FC troubles with gmail and youtube.
Got the triangle screen and following instructions in guides are not fixing it. Heres my scenario. I got my kindle with 6.2 on it. Got it rooted, installed market and go launcher and was great. Then the update of course came thru and broke root. Still been able to download market apps and use go launcher. So I followed this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1417284
to regain root and install twrp. It says root is successful, but superuser force closes everytime trying to open or use it. I can open my tibu and root explorer and everything still gave me root access. Went and changed the MarketIntentProxy.apk to MarketIntentProxy.apk.bak so market links go to market by default. That worked. Noticed that all amazon apps downloaded have a default amazon icon. Thought nothing of it. Went to install twrp anyway. Stuck at triangle now. Followed all instructions to fix and the KFU keeps flashing error device not found constantly and boot status unknown. Not showing up in my devices but I can eject via the safely remove hardware program. What happened? Did everything as guide states and watched the videos as I was doing each step.
Yesterday I decided to root my phone (GS4 I9500).. i did it and installed the SuperSu app...
after that i installed the latest version of "freedom"..today i found that the freedom app spoiled the google play and then i couldn't access it.
then i thought that if i will lose the root i will also lose that problem- so i tapet on "Full root" in the SuperSu app.. but the problem didnt solved.
then i tried to erase everything on my phone by doing "factory reset" through the settings app... now im stuck and can't activate my phone (i guess
that freedom still preventing me from access the google play)
now im stuck with screen that says: "Couldn't sign in__ Cant establish a reliable connection to the server"

A couple of ideas:
1. You can re-install the stock ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
2. You can try to install custom recovery like Philz, TWRP or CWM? Perform a factory reset and reboot or installing custom ROM.
Anyways I had the great idea of rooting my newly purchased TAB 4. I too used Odin 3. I loved the fact that I was successful at gaining root without data or app loss,. though slowly I began to see pop-ups pertaining to apps on my sd card. After awhile, I was seeing more pop ups on my screen for apps that began to stop working. Most importantly Google Play store. I panicked and decided to unroot without backing up. After that, I tried to factory restart. Being that I was no longer rooted, I figured it was safe to restart from scratch. What was I thinking? It all started over again, only this time with the out of the box look. Honestly I have only done the whole root process a couple of times and from what I understood it seemed to be fairly easy according to the process explained to me. All was well until I couldn't gain access to my apps. or for that matter download new ones. Is my Tablet dead or is there a possible answer? Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do?
Thanks

Search in Google for gapps. Pick the right one for your android version ex kitkat 4.2.2. Your gonna need to flash a custom recovery like twrp to flash the gapps zip on your tab 4. What tab 4 model do you have?
Forget gapps. I was recently having this problem in which my google play stopped over and over again. I saw everywhere that this problem occurs because of host file, they said that erase the file on system/etc/hosts but it doesntdoesnt work for me.
All you have to do is (which i found out very consequently) to carry google play to sd card and then to carry again to system file. Of course first you have to root again to carry google play (system application) to sd card aand then again to system file by root explorer.
Hope this will useful for you.
Can any of you guys co firm if the Netflix App shows up for you on Google Play. It used to show up for me but it'a not showing anymore.
Normally, this happens on tablets where the ROM has been tampered with in some way (installed root, recovery, etc). Fortunately, you can simply download the APK and install it manually.

Rooting the device doesn't do it on it's own. I discovered that what did it was modifying the build.prop
I ended up reflashing the tablet with the stock firmware and rooting it again. I purchased it recently and have been tinkering with it a lot, so I neeed to reflash anyways.
