I haven't seen that exe. There is a pd15img which you can flash through bootloader and it will overwrite everything (radio, bootloader, recovery, Rom etc).

but also i think it make you go from higher ver ROM to Lower version ROM unlike the bootloader type flashing as someone told me here you cant go back to lower version if u have no root or S-off.
(saying this cause i have done it in past on my windows mobile days.)
Anyone ever get this?
Really want the RUU EXE for the myTouch 4g
Hey guys,
Fastboot is irritating me. Is there a way to flash a new radio to my g2 through terminal emulator instead of plugging into the computer usb?

Also, don't forget to delete the PC10IMG.zip off your SDcard after you flash it, so next time you go into your bootloader it doesn't look for the update again.
Also, you should make sure that you don't keep a bunch of files named PC10IMG.zip laying around. I'd recommend re-naming them for the proper radio they are until you intend to flash them.
Id say u better go doenload the pc10img from the radio thread in the dev section instead of just renaming the file u already got

Yeah, flashed already. I went with the .30, but for some reason i lost my voicemail number now.

A new radio isn't a cure-all. No matter what you do the towers in the area are going to be the same. I'd try a few and see what works best.
I am having horrible reception (1, 2, no bars, no service, emerg call only) and can never get 3G or H signal icons. I am constantly on EDGE. These problems are occurring at places where i usually have great reception. Whats the problem?

thats up to you to find out each radio works differently in other areas. Im assuming youre on the stock radio, your next best bet would be to try the panache radio. btw, MIUI is a rom not a radio. just flash each radio til you find the right one for you
Is there any way I can just put the zip onto my sd card and flash? Because the radio thread in dev says I need to put it into adb folder, and I have no idea how to use Android sdk...

...lol ok...
the Engineering bootloader, on the MT4G i think is 0.85.2007.
the Engineering bootloader gives you flashing rights, i.e changing the splash screen, radio, recovery image using adb... etc. i'd highly recommend it.
still no luck. are there any roms out there that I can flash that end up changing my radio in the process?

Nope, but learning how to use adb really isn't hard. I'd suggest reading trublue_drew's thread in the dev section called adb for dummies.

I would follow this tutorial if you're still unsure about flashing radios. It's a really simple and easy process, but you have to follow directions TO THE LETTER. Otherwise, you might end up with a fancy, expensive paperweight.
http://www.mediafire.com/?dhz527bpcjba5e8
I am not responsible for any destroyed phones. FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK. IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO FLASH THIS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE FLASHING IT.
Just kidding, just put the file on the root directory on your sd card and reboot into bootloader. It'll prompt you to update. You have to be rooted to flash this.
I am running ThunderShed 1.5 with IMO 6.10 Kernel.
I flashed it and my radio version are as follows:
Radio: 1.49.00.0406w_1
LTE: 0.01.79.0331w_1
Have fun!

I still have root. I just took the radios out and changed the android-info to an older one.
Running now with no issues so far, I can't comment on signal quality however since I'm in a poor coverage area.

If it's really just a radio, I'm 99% certain that can't take away root. I have NOT downloaded the file to look inside though...

Yeah, if its just the radio's it doesn't even touch your ROM data/system stuff.
Gonna give these a shot, hoping for the best. I'm running the same setup as you, OP.
I can mirror if needed, I'm not a big fan of the sharing sites.
No issues and too early too tell if this radio is better but thanks for the download.

BTW, Flashed a few moments ago with 0 problems downloaded from the OP link.
i do have the new radios installed, but just got hung up on the reboot after the install. I have 4 bars now on 4g when i used to only have 3 bars in same area. So far so, so good. Also running LiquidSmooth 3.2 with xoomdev kernel. Maybe these radios are something to help step up to that ICS update coming down the road.

It would be great if someone could make flashable zips of the official canadian rom radios (preferably rogers for me).
They have been out for a few days and it doesn't seem like anyone is working on it.
Any dev wants to take this on? I will donate a couple bucks
I second this notion, I could use a Telus or bell radio
EDIT: Maybe firmware as well?
I'd like to have that too.
Now that some of the official 3.23 OTAs have been posted (Bell) it should be an easy process.
agreed
+1

Made a flashable radio update zip from the 4.3 Bell update(3.23.666.1). Should say 4A.20.3263.16_10.38k.1157.04L after the update.
Tested and fully working
Instruction:
1. Download via the link provided
2. Flash via recovery
3. Show me some love

If anyone can provide me the radio.img extracted from Telus or Rogers update, I can work on that as well, but I believe this will do.
I can also provide the fastboot flashable upon request.
