Ok, first off, yes, ive searched through general and development, but havent found anything that helped me to get it working. Ive downloaded the latest version of kies, set my tab to the original launcher, made sure debugging is off, and connected tab to computer, win7 64 bit. It scans for a few seconds then tells me my device is not supported? What do i need to do?

to connect to kies you must be using the stock launcher so
1. install homeswitcher
2. use it every time you want to connect to kies

Did that, several times. No go. Still tells me device is unsupported? I also just installed kies on my laptop to see if maybe it was windows 7, but still wont work. Are there possibly some drivers im missing for it that need to be installed on computer?

hmmm... try reinstalling drivers through kies (its in the dropdown menu), restarting and repeating as in my original post
With or without tab connected? Guessing without since it doesnt recognize my tab.

Same issue here to, after update of kies to 1.5.3.10103.100 lost connection to tab all together...
edit.. its working again..had to set it to mass storage then change again to kies??

My bad, not asking anyone. Just updating my thread. I know there were a bunch of people having issues with kies. Just posting that kies sees my tab now that ive flashed a different firmware.

I guess that the current version of Kies does not support the north american firmware version yet...

Kies didn't recognize you T-mobile Tab and you then flashed with a Euro firmware and now it works + that Kies now thinks you have a GTP-1000 instead of a SGH-TXXX.

Yes, that is exactly right. Before i flashed the euro rom, i would constantly get the device not recognized or whatever. As soon as i flashed i decided to check again, and it found it immediately. Im unsure about future updates though.

Hi to all. I nave a problemi with my nexus.
1) sometimes when i press the Power button for unlock the phone, i can find it in landscape mode and the phone is blocked band i must do a force reboot
2) when i put it with usb in PC, the PC not see it. The phone go only in charge mode but not AS MTP... i have try to install the drivers manually and from toolkit v1.3... But nothing ... I cant see the phone ad MTP..
I have see, that when the phone is in charge i not find the problem of landscape and block.
What's the problem? How i can fix it?
I cant do a root to the phone and try to fix it with a change rom .
I have try too, root and install the CWM from Adb commando, but the PC not recognize it when i active debug mode...

just looked at the site, looking at the screenshot, it just looks like a pc app that downloads firmware from the clouds?
So not actually flashing over the net.

download firmware from cloud, store in local disk and check SHA. you can flash whenever you want.

Hi, it' free .

ROM matching is base on the Cloud. When I add New-ROMs or New-Flash-Instructions, you needn't to download this software again

Unbrick failed
As mentioned before I couldn't install 2nas software on my company laptop, but in the meanwhile I borrowed one and tried the unbrick function.
Everything worked well till I started the installation after the download, so it failed straight away at the flashing of the boot.img, see attached screenshots.
Initial rom on my S3 was I9300XXLEF (Hong Kong) and I flashed Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300 Stock Firmware Collection I9300XXEMA2 after that it didn’t re-boot because of wrong ROM, if I try to get into recovery it shows the “Firmware upgrade encountered issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again” screen..

I downloaded the Android 4.3 stock rom from Google dev site. Then, I tried to install it by Google Nexus Toolkit 1.6.4 but it was not successful
( Perhaps the universal driver is not fully compatible with Windows 8, I often have this problem on Windows 8 )
Then I changed to use Google Nexus 7 Toolkit v5.0.0 and flash the stock ROM
This tool could do a little bit further. It extracted, deleted user data, send file to machine but after that, it flashed unsuccessfully
The screen is still in bootloader mode. So I decided to press Start to check whether the ROM had been installed successfully or not
And it said boot failed
I turned off the device and then couldn't turn it on till now. I plugged into laptop and it said lacking of APX driver.
I searched and know that this is a mode only for NVIDIA processor devices
I tried so many ways on Internet to turn it on, but still cannot
So can you help me wake it up ?

However, i download the 4.2.2 version, using same procedure to do, it works.... i`m thinking about the 4.3 image file got problem?

Not completely sure, but I have seen this before, I think you got the bootloader corrupted somehow.

As per now... you are stuck in APX mode. No solution for that in the Nexus 7 device. Asus cover that in warranty, you´ll have to go that way... It happened the same to me.

Hey, the same with me, after trying to update to android 4.3 with nexus root tool kit 1.64.
In this case the bootloader was deleted. Waiting for the feedback of asus....
Based upon this evidence I suggest you don't use a tool kit to flash 4.3 and do it manually

I'm not an expert but I would say there is no way for them to know at this point. So yes, you are covered. They need to completely wipe the device to get it back to life. This is something that happened to people updating OTAs as well, so it's not an uncommon issue.

Actually, I don't have dual monitor system so I often use my tablet as ebook reader to read instruction while coding
Tried to update Nexus 7 4.2.2 rooted with Nexus Toolkit too..but got stuck at a APX mode Nexus 7.
Nothing could revive it, so had to send to Asus for warranty claim
They changed a new motherboard and all is well now.....with 4.3..but wifi reception still sucks

I'm a newbie of this gorgeous forum, i've heard of it many times and so, i decided definitely to create an account.
I Have a Nexus 4, 4.4.2 kitkat with the Build KOT49H and about 2 weeks ago i've accidentally deleted, in explorer, 2,95gb mic records files of the program easyvoice recording. They were very important to me, so i stopped using the phone to avoid the overwrite of the hidden/deleted files.
I tried with two methods:
1) Hexamob File Recovery PRO [NEEDS ROOT] , i haven't got root never on my nexus, so the bootloader isn't unlocked too. I can't unlock it because it will wipe all the memory involving the data folders making a total format like the hard reset does. You could say: Backup it?
It isn't so easy, the files that i've deleted are hidden by the memory in the phone (this is why i'm trying to recover it...), unless i'll download or overwrite it putting other files on it, they will certanly be unrecoverable. I stopped using my telephone in order to find a solution to my problem.
So, i've forgot this way to recover my files, and the mean question i ask to you is: Can i root my device in order to use Hexamob without the wipe process?
2) Recuva, Dr Fone Wondershare for Android, Data Recovery, Restoration... ecc ecc
I even tryied to use Windows Softwares such as the mentioned above. But... "luckily" for me, how you should know, many Nexus upgraded with 4.4.2 reports bugs with cable connection with PCs.
Example: when i try to copy all the pictures to windows it give me strange errors ("The library, drive, or media pool is empty.") and i have to copy one to one files per time.
So all the softwares doesn't find the "Nexus 4 MASS STORAGE". I've tried reinstalling automatically and manually drivers many times. Nothing work.
I've only three possibilities to return to use my nexus. Or i wait a google update in order to solve the cable connection bugs, or i wait in april a Dr Fone Wondershare for Android Software Update release compatible with 4.4.2, or i ask to you, my only concrete salvation.

Hate to tell you this, but you're sol. You're unlocked, unrooted, and you can't mount the device as a drive letter on the pc. I'd check with the app that's going to be updated in April, but I'm guessing it's not going to work anyway. Let them know you have a nexus 4, I don't think it can do usb mass storage

How you've read they didn't mentioned about NEXUS 4 with 4.4.2, but i think the understood. I'm going to write another email in order to point out "specifying" that i'm using NEXUS 4.

If you're rooted it works better than I expected it to. But as you know, if you're not rooted it doesn't work. It's asking for usb mass storage which asfaik the nexus 4 doesn't support. I don't think even the update will be able to get around that limitation sorry

Or can you suggest me what i should wait to solve my problem? Maybe DooMLoRD or other developer will release a toolik that will be able to root without unlock, so i'll take my file....

Any root method involves unlocking the bootloader first. As you know that wipes your device. If there were away to get around that it would have already been done
