I install the CM7 , Froyo, JoyOS. I thing in every custom rom there is problem to open the market. When i open the market then it ask "create the account in device" but i fail to create the account in device. Please tell where is that option so i can create the account and open the market.
pls help

On some roms the googleapps are removed, stated with "just download from market if you need them"
Because it took me quite some time to find out how to reinstall gmail on some roms i want to share the solution.
If you are living in a country where you CANT download gmail from the market (like me) you need to unlock it.
Go to the market and search for "market enabler" install it and set to any us provider.
Now search for "gmail" and you will have the gmail app.
IMPORTANT: You will have to set autosync manually otherwise you wont get push emails.
->settings->acount & synchronisaton->google->sync google mail

I rooted to Cyanogenmod7 and also flashed gaaps-gb-20110828-signed.zip at the same time. (I also tried 20110613, 20110307, 20110120 and cm7-20110106 gaaps each time starting from stock nook install)
I boot up just fine into CM7. There market app it missing along with all of the google apps.
When I booted up for the first time and every time since, it does not ask me to log in or to make an account. When I goto Setup---Applications I try to create an account. When i enter my gmail name/password it then goes to another screen and wants me to put in my "EXCHANGE" information. well I dont get anywhere after that. When i hit submit, it says "Unable to open connection to server."
I have WIFI working just great. Any ideas?

ps this seems to be a common problem and would be great to find a solution.

ok,
You must enter exactly the right information on the account setup page
On the first page, I put [email protected] (use YOUR username) and then
was very careful to put in the right password then hit NEXT.
on the next screen, the top line should be "/[email protected]"
leave the password alone
on the last line, erase gmail or whatever they put there as the default and put in "m.google.com"
That will setup your account. Now Im off to see if I can find any google apps now....

I just installed ParanoidAndroid 3.0 on my i9300. I created gmail account but i thing its only gmail. Its not a google account where i have all contacts. I have problem to connect to my Google account. After login to "People" shows account setup and server settings.
Damian/username ( before username i have "/" dont know why and if its correct),
password ( type gmail pass not specific ) ,
server ( gmail.com ),
use secure connection (marked) ,
accept all SLL ( none ),
client certificate(none ),
port 443.
After "next" i got message couldn't finish. Couldn't open connection to server. ". and can press edit details.
What is going on here ? First time i have problem connect to google account. Always was just login password. How can i get my all contacts from google account ?

To answer your question, I don't think you've installed the Gapps yet. If I'm not wrong, you're trying to install the Gmail account in the native email app.
Download and flash compatible Gapps from goo.im and you'll be good to go. :thumbup:

i just installed rom control 7.5 and tried to restore back ups from my samsung and google accounts but failed
the samsung account restore from the settings menu just gives me an error cannot downlaod due to network error and when i try to view my google account settings it give an error saying something went wrong try again later
my internet connection is fine im able to sync my email messages , browse the internet and open google play please help me find a solution to this problem

I have just installed lineageos 18.1 according to https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/gta4xlwifi/install on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite. Now I have the problem that I cannot add an account under Settings -> Accounts. Nothing happens when I press Add account. I have already tried to terminate the contacts with "Force stop" and have emptied the storage and cache.I only installed lineageos without google apps. All I have to do is enter an email address so that I can use the Yatse unlocker. I don't want to synchronize any mails etc. Is it not possible to enter an account / e-mail address without google apps?
