Custom Rom w/ Kernal .tar - Galaxy Tab General

Can someone point me in the right direction. Im looking for a Custom Rom with a Kernal I can flash with odin. I have the T Mobile Tab. For some reason my Tab wont go into recovery anymore and gets stuck at the Tmobile boot screen. I have tried flashing other Kernals with the CWM preinstalled with No luck.
Please anyone help.

Just flash using Overcome method.
I owned a T849 myself.

How to flash kernel back to 2e recovery without the 3button boot/download function!

Hi there,
I'm a newbie to android. Just got my i9000 (international version of Galaxy S) for two weeks which I like it very much and flashed it to the official Froyo 2.2 (Build ZSJPD, which to my understanding is based on the European JPO) straight away. But only recently that I find out that it can neither boot into the recovery nor the download mode via the 3 button method, which makes flashing via the Odin impossible for me. I tried to download the Rom Manager to install the Clockwork Recovery Mod but I faced the same problem as the top message of this thread, i.e. it cannot get into the unsigned CWM recovery as it is running the stock 3e recovery.
Nonetheless, thanks to the "Quick Boot App", I was able to go into the stock recovery mode by clicking the dedicated button. So my question is:
Is there any way I could flash the stock kernel back to 2e recovery, given the above condition, so that I could run the CWM recovery?
Is there any apps, which would actual install a different kernel so that I could bypass the stock kernel?
Hope big guys out there could give me some hint and show me the way! Otherwise, I would miss a lot fun and can't even apply the Universal lagfix.
Alex
I am curious too. I am running ZSJPE (Asian Build) but it doesn't seem to have 2e recovery as I am unable to boot into CWM, even with ROM Manager installed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It amazes me the amount of people flashing roms without 3br. Why dont you install the 3br fix? then you can do whatever you like to your phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=785201 odin

Try either of these before you brick your phone! it doesnt matter how carefully you follow instructions it takes just one bad flash and your history...

I've been directed to one of these links to fix the 3BR bug on my I9000, but after reading some replies I'm a little hesitant as several people have reported their phone being bricked thanks to it...
If by any chance my phone does get bricked because of this, is there any other way to re-flash or something of the sort?
EDIT: Sorry to bump an old post...

Need Help with CWM on Bell S2

Hi all
I have my Bell S2 rooted (flashed the custom kernel with Odin)
and then unlocked with Herolz app
Now I downloaded ROM Manager and flashed the latest CWM
but when I 'boot into recovery' , i am booted into the stock android 3e recovery
I can't understand what is going on... can someone provide some insite
THank you!
While Im at it, anyway to remove the yellow warning sign
I think i need a stock kernel to flash , is there one available for bell s2
ive flashed the ZS OZS KG2 root CF kernel as of now only
hi,
I found this thread really helpful
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193695
I don't think there is a dedicated Clockwork Mod for the bell version yet. But this is the next best thing.
Ive flashed a few roms with this and it works fine.
I used the jig method to reset the yellow triangle. hopefully you have one on hand
You don't need rom manager, the kernel that you flashed already has cwm recovery.
then why cant I reboot into CWM?
was the rom manager flash what ruined it u think
shud i reflash the kernel, any one in particular for blel S2
No idea, flash the cf-root kernel for your firmware(kg2 i take it)
Like peach said, just flash cf-root, any kg2. I just got my phone today and its already rooted. You wont need rom manager. cf-root installs an app called cwm which will boot you into recovery.
You can't use cwm with chainfire's rooted kernel. Boot into recovery with the one included in the rooted kernel.

[Q] s4 problems rooting/installing custom recovery

Hi everyone.
I apologize for my ignorance here, I own the S3, i am helping a buddy with an s4.
he attempted to root and is now getting an error message in his notifications. His wifi won't turn on and his SD card appears to me non-accessible.
Ultimately, we are trying to get a custom recovery installed to flash a custom rom. I have flashed CFroot via odin, but its not working, we do not seem to have root.
There are a few things i am looking for, and am having a tough time finding:
A full md9 stock odin tar
a odin flashable recovery (so we could just odin a recovery and flash a custom rom)
Remember we dont have root right now so we cant install recoveries via rom manager or goo manager.
I am really familiar with Galaxy devices, i think i just need some help from s4 regulars to find the files i need.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Here is the link for the Stock MF9 firmware. Its in a zip when you download. Just unzip and you will see the tar file. Place it in the PDA section of odin.

[Q] Help - ATT S4 unbootable - I337UCUFNJ4

So, I'm a noob when it comes to flashing custom ROMs. I've had my S4 rooted for a while and have had no issues. Decided recently to try a custom ROM.
I tried installing UltimaROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537495) and everything seemed to work fine during install, but once the final reboot happened I am stuck in a Download Mode loop. Reading more, I am now not so sure this ROM will work on my phone (duh.) I am assuming that I am going to have to use Odin to flash a stock ROM back to my phone.. is this true? And, if so, how can I tell which ROM to install? I looked at the SamMobile site and there are two f/w downloads that appear to apply to my phone, but they are labeled I337UCUAMDL and I337UCUAMDB. Neither one of these seem to match what I was at, so I'm not sure if I should use either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I did use Safestrap/TWRP to take a full backup of my phone before trying to install the ROM. Is there any way to flash just a new recovery and do a restore, instead of flashing a full stock ROM back?
You're right that the rom won't work with safestrap. You'll have to Odin the nb1 tar file. Look in the general forum for it

Thanks. I'm trying that now.

Note 4 n610f bricked?

Hi all, im really hoping someone can help, and that what ive done is reversible.
After rooting I tried installing the alliance rom (lollipop) on my n610f, i got a boot loop so restored the backup rom using CWM without any problems, i read on the alliance rom page that id need a different bootloader and modem, i got what i thought were the correct one and put them on using odin, did a wipe and tried again, same bootloop. Except this time when i restore the backup rom i still have the same boot loop.
If anyone has a fix for this id be eternally grateful.
Fixed it by flashing N910FXXU1B OB4 [Lollipop 5.0.1] bootloader and modem
What did you flash? Modem or bootloader..? I think the best solution is, flash stock firmware via odin, then try again.
