GT P7510 Wireless N Connectivity Using US ICS Stock 4.0.4 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

Updated to 4.0.4 using OTA last week. I immediately noticed that wireless networking scan does not detect my wireless N ap. Anybody here experiencing the same thing? I am rooted but this issue started even before I rooted the updated ICS 4.0.4.

Hi jayc.
I know just about nothing about wireless, so a question for you.
Is wireless N for the 5Ghz band?
If it is, the 5Ghz band isn't enabled in ICS for some reason.
There's a file that needs to be edited to enable it.
I see your tab is rooted, so:
1. Navigate to /system/etc/wifi/2. Open nvram_net.txt and change the ccode from GB to ALL. 3. Save 4. Reboot

I made a thread about this here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846766

It's not enabled because it's a recycled Great Britain (UK) build where 5GHz is not allowed. That's why you got to mod the nvram_net.txt.

On three uk. Will XXBLG8 wipe my device + will modem be ok?

I have searched but can't find an answer.
I am currently on three XXALF6 and I haven't had an update since June. I want to put stock ICS on ( XXBLG8) but am worried it will wipe my device.
I am also concerned that I read somewhere three use a special modem that is better for their network. Is this the case? Will flashing stock reduce my phones performance on three’s network?
Has anyone else gone to stock while using three?
Sorry if this is covered somewhere but if it is I can’t find it.
EDIT: Arse! this was meant to be in Q+A.
I am on Three I flashed XXBLG8 and all my apps where still there and everything worked fine!

If you're worried about typing in the APN again (which I haven't had to do on Omega roms) there are always APN backup apps out there

I did it and my friend did it on both our sgs3 and it was fine. Installed the stock ics full rom.

I've used several ICS versions and all of the JB leaks with their corresponding Radios on 3 UK and they have all been 100% fine with the network.
Cheers all. I went ahead and all seems fine. I'm hoping this firmware fixes an issue with auto connecting to my cars Bluetooth.

was using this before for almost a week and i noticed that there are times that the wifi doesn't turn on when pressed.. it tries to open but then it turns off itself.. i thought it was a hw issue and still hoped for a miracle by changing firmwares to ME6.. and looks like that fixed it.. though im on ME6 for just 2 days now, ill keep on observing..

Yes. It has some weird bug regarding wifi.. My router is not broadcasting SSID(hidden). The Wifi gets disconnected while using whereas my other phone(Lumia 920) doesn't have this issue. Both are connected to same router.
Had the update for about a week now, just few things that's bugging me. The charging takes twice the time then it used to be. Then there's the wifi auto turn on problem. Might do a full cleanup later. But the speed performance is better then the previous update.
Just receive update MF1 last month n now MF2?? What improvement does it bring to our note 2? Any info??

Can't seem to find the DXDMF2 modem flashable zip or Odin tar file.... the one listed on samfirmware, after downloading and unzipping, is actually DXDMF1
USing it for last 1 week, battery life is just crap.

There is another June update for Malaysia. This time is interesting. I was notified of an update without even connecting my phone to kies. Everything looks the same except kernel which shows june date.

Really this time sammobile/sammy have messed up something
i have flashed DMF2 with baseband MF1 when it was relesed 10 days ago.
then there was new release shown on sammobile with baseband MF2, I thoght there should be majot bug in previous otherwise sammy never release second update in a week. so i have downloaded and flashed but still modem was mf1. i have extract the image and surprisingly modem were same on both ROM but system.img was newer (built 18th june)
Again i have checked here some screen shot showing kies showning baseband MF2.I thought let's move back to previous MF2 with baseban MF1 and then receive OTA to update baseband. but devise constatnly saying device have latest software (even though on MF2 with MF1 baseband)
So, don't want to remain in doubt and moved back to MC3.
Will update only india gets latest update / 4.2 whatever come first.
They didn't screw up. I received that update via kies.

[Q] GS4 No Network after Flash

Hey guys...
I just rooted my phone, installed TWRP and flashed my first rom. It installed no problem, but I didn't have any network access so no phone.. kinda pointles.. Guessed it coulda been a bad rom so flashed a different rom and had the same problem. How do I get my network access back...
1st rom was MIUI and second was The Blu Kuban.
Use to flash my OG Evo all the time and never had this happen...
Update the prl and profile

What issues??
I've never had an issue with YouTube on any connection - 3G, 4GLTE or WiFi on any ROM I've run on this device.
Same never had any issues. With either 4.2.2 4.3 or 4.4 you must have been on a custom ROM. As sometimes those come into contact with problems. But then all you have to do is uninstall and install the play store version.

I had the same problem for over a month. I accidentally fixed it one evening when flashed a new kernel. I know this was the solution for me because I went back to the previous kernel, and 2 days later I got the same YouTube connection issue again. Flashed a new kernel and never had that issue again. Going on over a month now.
