Guys,
Is it just me or any of you find that CM7.2 is faster and more responsive than CM9.0?
Please share.
You must try CM10 I think

I prefer CM 9.
Trust me, CM10 is the best
cm10 is so smooth, really…. couldnt believe it since they changed partition layouts, it feels like a new phone
Everybody recommend CM10, but I'm not convinced. Maybe someday.
I used CM9. It was smooth and fast but slightly slower than TiramiSlim. I admit, on CM9 I hadn't any FC

I would agree on this; as the latest versions are enhancement for the previous ones and adding a new features. But sometimes, developers doesn't success in that and they produce a worse or a malfunctions, in this case the old copies are better
All are te best....
cm7 is better than stock
cm9 is very stable and cm9.1 will be a rock stable os for our mobile
cm10 is very fast but sometimes very buggy (normal coz developing needs time!)
i have cm10 installed and for me as super user its ok but for newbies i would recommend cm9.1
I`m using CM9 now.SGS+

Hi guys, i'm about to change my rom and as i want to speed up my phone and get the AOSP ICS style, these roms are the only one i should get into consideration...
But i'm mostly confused about what to choose, threads are endless and roms are so similar the one to each other...
I would be grateful if some1 could tell me what rom among them is the best, the one with less bugs, fast and with high battery life, and also what kernel to choose to let each rom work better...
In practice i need to know the main differences of CM9, AOKP and JJ, and what of them works better
Thank you
JJ's rom is the best of this roms and it is bugfree, laggfree and it has better performace and battery life !.. AOKP and CM9 is not stable.. trust me JJ's Hibryd gives you the best asop experience !!!!! In the kernel question J can't give you any advise because Jm on Locked BL..
Please hit thanks if j helped you !
Ok, but ill wait for other opinions too
JJ's rom has no bugs. You should try it . Cm 9 has a few bugs but it's also very stable.

+1 for JJ's Hybrid.
JJ's Hybrid it's the best AOSP i've tried, and still use it! Between those you name JJ's the best in battery, speed, bugfree, in all!
If you want a diufferent expenrience you also have Xperia Ice Cream Pureness, very good too!
Try it out yourself and see, JJs is not really AOSP, still Sony so doesn't have theme manager and isn't as smooth as CM9 or AOKP but it has some features e.g HDMI working which aokp/ cm9 dont Personally love AOKP. Customization and fluidity is unmatchable IMO apart from GB

I tried so many Roms but JJs Hybrid is the best one. Not laggy and no bugs. The best is: for locked bootloader !!
with JJHyb_v3.2
I finally flashed jjhybrid on locked bootloader after restoring apps it is smooth and snappy, as i wanted
Mod can close thread, i don't need any help more

The first ROM I tried was JJ´s and without comparision the best in regards to speed and batteri life.
The only reason I´m not using it now is because of Trebuchet launcher. I found it really wanting in features and JJ´s rom didn´t seem to like it when I installed another launcher.
JJ
I just got the JJ's Rom yesterday, seems good so far
I run JJ's 3.2 with stock kernel and baseband72 and it's awesome

Dafuq dude? do you even know why it is called hybrid? it is aosp, with aosp control panel settings, themes arent native of aosp, it does has the xperia framework, but its a modified framework, jj hybrid rom its not your normal stock ics xperience, it is much much much much smoother than aokp or cm9, ive tried them all, its stable and the battery its good, awesome if you use smartass v2 governor.
jj hybrid, plus apex launcher, plus supercharge 100% and smartass v2 governor, and you will never ever feel lag or lack of battery life.

Not only that, doom kernel is known for giving you a great overclocking experience, but everyone knows it has high battery drain issue, if you want battery, try with stock plus, or if you need power try arch knight kernel and flash smart ass v2.
Hi
For those who are using one of this roms... Which is better for daily use?

I tried JB on Blade - it was quite laggy. I'm very happy with the speed of CM9/ICS. Until Project Butter works better and laggy stuff get sorted out, I'll stick with this. Keyboard and clock are the main differences. I use swiftkey flow beta anyways, and for clock, I installed clockpackageholo.apk which gives alarms, stopwatch and timer in the same app, like the JB one.

For me, CM10 KonstaKang, the CM10.1 is still laggy for me and for what I need, CM10 is the best rom.

ParanoidAndroid 3 and PACMan are pretty decent too
Hi everybody,
i'm looking for a super stable and long lasting.
I found a lot of topic about "best rom", but they are plenty of little different request like gaming, music playng ecc.
I don't have any of these request, i just require a rom that will stand on without crashing the maximum numbers of hours. Actually my maximum is around 400h with cyanogenmod, i wondering if others rom could do better times.
Thanks for your attention!
CM10?
I used CM 10 to achieve my record.
I wonder if there were others roms with better result (even GB ones)
For gingerbread try oxygen rom it was the most stable rom for me and I came back to it a few days ago I haven't rebooted in the past few days with no slow downs and it still smooth

Rasbean ROM with thalamus kernel I had that combo running for months with no reboots or freeze ups!!!

CM10 latest nightly, very stable, the best rom for NS
I would recommend jellyshot with marmite kernel.

I have bad luck with slim bean, i tried it before and i had at least one crash/day, even with a clean install.
Another vote for Jellyshot with Marmite here.
+1 for CM10 with Marmite 8.5 kernel. I've been testing all roms... And probably the best tweaked rom i found was CM10 stable one...
+1 for CM10 and +1 for BlackBean6

Jellyshot or Slimbean gets my vote
metal dragon overlord is the most stable i've tried
paired with matr1x and it should last you a looong time
I recommend:
Rasbeanjelly 11-6-12 Paired with the _thalamus kernel
Guide based on my usage
I've used a lot of roms in my persuit for perfection.. An addiction to flash really, but I have compiled a small list of the roms I've tried. I don't have a favorite, but I have found that once you initially set up your phone, most of the "features" don't really matter. I hope this helps, and doesn't stir too much controversy as I mean no disrespect to any developer(s) as all the roms have their good points.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0An4M6zvBOQ1KdExJMDlCZlRwem9zS29Ma1VHRWhCLXc#gid=0
On a side note, I do prefer the Devil kernel, and Marmite 8.5 (smartassv2+row)
**Updated and easier to read**
Been running rasbean for months. Even stable when OCd with morfics kernel and super smooth as well.

i'm on xenonhd and its very stable. its just the launcher that sometimes makes problems, and the homescreen is rotating to landscape if device is turned, which i have not found any way to turn off. but you can remove the google-search bar on top which is nice.
i guess another launcher would solve the problem, but i'm not aware of a launcher which is basically stock, just with the option to turn off the google search bar (and no landscape mode for homescreens). any hints?
Yeah check out nova and apex launcher.
I vote for oxygen rom if you want gingerbread.
I have been using jellyshot 3.5 w/ air kernel lately and it is great

For Sensation XL ideas: [THREAD]
I think a highly customized version kit kat will be a good choice... Changes can be made by porting from either a Samsung or an Xperia phone.. So that HTC users could experience some Xperia features and may be some Samsung.... Along with that we can try and INCREASE some BATTERY LIFE.. and add a few apps that are used by almost everyone.. For example Es file Explorer and Shareit along with some utilities like twrp manager.. Or we can port Miui when it's released in kit kat

Have OTG support
PAC rom or a fully functional ParanoidAndroid rom. I miss halo
AOSPA 4 (Paranoid Android) or something based on KitKat and cherry picks from the major custom ROMs. Could even go back to 4.2 and build a Samsung ROM

I Think Is A Nice Idea
I wish there was a mod like Adreno booster for xperia play.
Stability > Performance > Eye Candy > Bloatware
Baserom: Kitkat
As fast respondig as possible.
Maybe with sense 5
no bloatware apps like facebook.
OTG would be nice but as far as i know, not possible to integrate it without problems.
In my case:
-very good batterie life
-stable gps working
-not laggy
-maybe Sense 5
-really stable
-if possible kitkat
-es file explorer preinstalled
I think that the new rom should be a sense rom (5 if possible and kitkat base too, if possible), because all dhd must have all hardware working with his drivers!
if this, please, i aport my idea. make an aroma with the options:
-stock music player with sound drivers (beats or htc boomsound srs etc..)
or
-apollo with Dsp or another driver (as the Incredible Viper4Android) (ill chose this option )
And this features
-xreality or Bravia engine
-kernel with Project Butter compatible (vsync)
-i dont know if say supercharger v6...
-Desense Option for Aosp looks lovers
-remove unneeded apps in aroma
-s2w or similar (for protect our power button)
-Advanced Power Menu
-myHub for this rom
Etc...
i know that i have forgot some ideas...
Thx For read!
guys please read the thread we can't have a sense 5 Rom now. We have to wait till someone make it for sxl
