How to change background colour of Gtalk pop-up alert? - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hi all
As you may have known, Text chat Notifications in Gtalk can be either shown on Status Bar or as Pop-up dialog. I like pop-up dialog better as it saves me from pulling-down Notification screen. But the background color, regardless of any Launcher/theme used is dark grey while texts are in black. As a result the dialog is very hard to read.
Where is the settings of the color located and how can I change it?
In the meantime I use third party application such as Iphone Notifications but it adds up RAM usage for background process, something I want to avoid.
Any response would be much appreciated.

Is my N4 defective?

I've noticed something strange happening on my Nexus 4:
When I set a wallpaper that's not live (any of the standard wallpapers that ship with the phone) and pull down my notification bar, the wallpaper under the pull down bar tends to shift from a detailed background to a more simple background (in regards to the amount of lines shown in the picture and edges), and then switches back. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this right, but if you can, set your background to a stock non-live wallpaper, pull down the notification bar, and see if your background image glitches out and changes quality. Most, if not all, of the wallpapers I've used have had this happen, and even if I pull down the notification bar in the app drawer the apps underneath the pull down menu glitch out and change their look/contrast/brightness... I don't know what it is.
Is this a known bug, or is my phone defective?

Are you sure you aren't just seeing the transparency effect of the notification pulldown or appdrawer background? Post a screenshot of a before/after if you can.

[Q] Disabling Status Bar Notification Text Alert

I have successfully replicated the iOS statusbar onto my i9500, the only problem is whenever I have a notification and the text appears for it on the top of my status bar, everything moves up to let text be read except the clock which is right in the center...
Is there a way I can either make the clock move up along with everything else or to stop the notification text from appearing on my statusbar?
I'll add a picture of my status bar to hopefully give you a better visual image of what I'm trying to do.
Anyone who wants further details about how I replicated everything, I can share with you It's just a few Xposed modules and Nova Launcher along with a few icon packs.

Color display management

My 7 mini does this annoying thing where the home screen and notification tray brighten and dim or change slight tones in color - I can't tell exactly which. It only does it on my home screen , if I slide down notifications in any app the the color of the tray stays the same. Anyone else have an issue like this?
The notification tray changes color depending on the colors of the wallpaper. That's not an issue, if that's what you mean.

Thanks but that's not what I mean. If I swipe down the notification tray changes tone in color. If I swipe down again to show all quick settings it changes color again. If I swipe up once back to just notifications , it changes color again. Finally, if I go home the same effect happens on my wallpaper. Same thing happens if I swipe up to open app drawer.

Oh, I see what you mean. I noticed this a long time ago and it didn't bother me. Unfortunately, you'll have to live with it. Perhaps, it only works with some colors, though. My panel is green right now and it's not darkening/brightening when I pull down quick settings as usual. Try using a wallpaper with a different color instead.

Make AOD notification icons black and white instead of color and low-constrast ?

Hello everyone,
It seems that Samsung has really botched the AOD implementation lately for those that really need it for notifications. Specifically they introduced color icons, which have a very low contrast and cannot be seen.
Is there any way to make those icons black and white (or at least - black and grey) ? I even used their ClockFace app (or plugin - whatever it is) but while I can change the clock styles (useless feature anyway) I can't seem to be able change the notification icon colors. Or maybe I am missing a hidden setting ?
I hate the lack of a notification LED. But at least I need large, black and white AOD notification icons.
Thanks for any advice on this !
Good question

Themes and notifications

I have set the notifications on lock screen to be icons only, but whenever I change the system theme to one downloaded from the galaxy store, the notifications don't show up on the lock screen anymore, or it will be just the blurred background where the notification should be. If I change the notification style they show up as they should, just not in icons mode only. Anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
