[Q] Full AOSP on Mantra as Device Model

As the title suggets my Nexus 10 has the model name of Full AOSP on Mantra after being returned from Samsung support. This is causing issues with Google Updates, Google Play Services and Framework Updates, the error it gives is 'package file was not signed correctly'. Please help me as I have no idea what to do and before I sent it in it Said Model Name as Nexus 10. It is also having issues with Google hangouts and Google+ features

Hi,
Try downloading and installing a ROM from here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
You seem to have an old AOSP or something like that, try installing the latest 4.3 ^^. (It requires unlocked BL AFAIK)
Good luck,

[Q&A] [L][5.0] Android Lpv Dev for Mako [Stable 9002]

Q&A for [L][5.0] Android Lpv Dev for Mako [Stable 9002]

Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
the latest links with android L for Nexus 4 please
hi guys,
please someone explain me, from the 1st post of @sykopompos on this thread I have to download:
1. Mako
GPL KERNEL SOURCE - github.com/Android-L-Porting-Team/android_kernel_mako
*this is just the kernel? or it contein all pakage with android L
2. there are 2 links with Stable 9001, one of them is:
Afh - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95747613655040584 (or here is the andoid L and at 1 is only kernel?)
but also I can see
3. "9001 to 9002 patch https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95747613655042047"
so, for me to understand:
I have to install 1, then 2 with 9001-stable, then I have to download 3 "9001 to 9002 patch" and install it too, right?
That is all I have to do to have android L on my phone?
Also I have seen a lot of updates there, please someone tell me the latest links with kernel and Android L for my device Nexus4
Thank you!
edit:
1. I just flashed the kernel = failed
2. Stable 9001 = done
3. update 9001 -> 9002 = done
now I `m waiting for start, for the moment I see some bubles: red, green, red and yellow dancind on the screen
I hope it will start
edit2
here we are, my phone just started and I see it have LPV81C as build no.
and few bugs:
1. when I swipe from up to down = nothing
2. the middle button must take me to home screen from any application = nothing
what is next please? thx you!
edit3: I power off it, because I can make an egg on it!

I'm going to put on my conspiracy hat for a moment and proclaim that Google is forcing us to go back to KitKat for a working Play Store 5.0.31!
Can anyone confirm it's working on non-Android L preview?
@ramjet73 Have you noticed that the "Search this thread" is now available not maximized :highfive:

Nexus 4 Android L Preview not booting
I flash the stable 9001 with the 9001 to 9002 patch and waited for 30 minutes then did a full wipe and still nothing then tried flashing again and still nothing, just overheating.
I think the lib files and binaries need to be checked again. I'm starting to think Nexus 4 wont get 5.0 now.

Cannot build AOSP for Nexus 6P

Hello,
I think that this is the right forum to use.
I'm trying to build Android android-6.0.0_r26 (label MDB08M) for the Nexus 6P.
It seems that for the Nexus 5X and 6P phones, the vendor files are no longer distributed via the developers.google.com/android/nexus/drivers webpage.
I found this post on the google groups site, that indicates that the vendor.img should be extracted from the factory image available on the developers.google.com/android/nexus/images webpage
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/android-building/_XZxkcSrQVI
I tried this, and when booting, the phone first displayed a corrupted message, and then got blocked at the Andoid logo.
Is there a correct way to do this?
Many thanks,
Paul

All questions should be in Q&A

Problem with Google's services?

I just got the Axon Mini from china and for some reason it won't let me use any of the google applications.
I also can't create a google account because of this
I went to apkmirror and download newer versions of: Google account manager, google play services, google play store, and google services framework.
also tried a factory reset
Phone info:
Model Number: ZTE B2015
Android Version: 5.1.1
Android Security patch level: 2016-01-01
Kernel version: 3.10.49
MiFavor UI: 3.2
Build version: ZTE B2015FTV1.0.0B07
Any help or suggestions are appreciated, and it's a new phone so I'm not worried about losing anything
Hi Yosef,
it seems like you're in the wrong forum. As you state you have an Axon Mini and not an Axon 7 Mini. Sadly XDA Does not seem to have a Axon Mini Forum.
There seems to be some software and ROMs in the Axon Pro Forums for your Phone though.
Generally it is a really, really bad Idea to import a Chinese Phone. They generally come without Google Services and filled with Spyware:
https://www.cyberscoop.com/android-malware-china-huawei-zte-kryptowire-blu-products/
As this is also well known by Google and therefore the S
spyware phones are not supported. I believe your best bet is to install custom Firmware (if available) and have a fresh start.

Help me save my old Samsung Note3 (bought from UAE)

Hello Friends,
I have been hanging around for a while now. I tried my hand few times to update my Samsung note3, as Official service is not provided to phones bought from outside India. Sadly.
Current ROM that I flashed was in 2015. But it is unstable. It changed a lot on my phone,
like my model no now looks like - SM-G9250, (originally it was SM-N900) only.
Details of my phone are:
Android Version: 5.0.2
Baseband Version: N900XXUENG1
Kernel version: 3.4.39-5466072
Build Number: Aurora.Full-G9200.Port.No.4.2
Important: Phone is Samsung Note 3 (Exynos)
My question is simple:
Please help me find best / suitable ROM that my device can happily run. Without any Google Service Errors.
If possible, please point me towards instructions about what to do and how to do. Technically I am little confused seeing all the choices here in forum.
Thanks and Regards,
Praveer.
Come on Guys, Help me out. No one has any answer ?
Update fro my side
===============
I tried using [7.1.x|SM-N900| Unofficial LineageOS 14.1 (ha_3g)], I find myself in particular problem, after flashing ROM, GAPPS and SU binaries, the Google Music stops just when I begin to set up the phone (It happens when language is getting selected), upon going further, the "Google Play Services" stop when I am trying to setup the Google A/C, just after setting up wifi on my phone.
Actions taken so far:
===============
I have tried flashing ROM again and again (must be more than 10 times and counting), I have tried flashing ROM + GAPPS before flashing SU. I then tried ROM+SU and then GAPPS. I flashed ROM with GAPPS (Pico) too. The verisons of GAPPS used so far now are SUPER, STOCK & PICO.
Out of all combinations, Pico gives me least headace. But Google Play Service Framework should be same in all packages, right ? In either case, I am always greeted by "Google Music has stopped" just before I begin phone setup.
Plus I noticed when I did factory reset+cleaned internal storage+cache, I always get "E: Resource (front) -(fixed) failed to load" message in logs.
Do this error creating problems in flashing GAPPS ?
Also, Can some one please tell me what should be partitions on the phone (Samsung Note 3 (SM-N900)) Exynos based ? Maybe I have wrongly configured phone setup ! After all, I have tested so many ROMS over last 3-4 years, that I have forgotten the original partitions detail.
Regards,
PrankSter.
Hi there,
I will move your thread in the correct forum dedicated to Note 3 Q&A for more relevant answers.
Good luck
If you flashed a custom rom then logic says ask in that thread .
Sent from my SM-N930F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
What is the model # in download mode?
