This article says, that a quad-core galaxy s3 with lte support is released in October in germany. Will this be the same version as in South Korea? Or just the normal 1gb Ram s3 with additional lte support?

I believe it will be like the Korean version, thicker because of the separate lte chip, and with 2gb of ram. Do you have any more news regarding this subject? I don't understand why they didn't just launch this version globally, it seems the best of the 2 worlds. I mean, I have 60 mbit/se lte speed in most cities in my country (Portugal) but I was forced to buy the International version which is a good phone but only has 21mbit/se capabilities with it's hspa + support, meaning I only get 10mbit/s speed in speed tests
Also releasing in Australia on the 15th. Will be available in black and grey.

I hope the US gets a Quad/2GB/LTE variant but something tells me we wont since we already have a LTE/2gb capable GS3 :-/
Unless they do what ATT did for the GS2. Release maybe a "Skyrocket II" That would have the Quad with 2gb and LTE.. But I wont hold my breath

I heard it was thicker because the LTE chip is separate as opposed to the US variant where the LTE radio is built into the CPU so it was a bit thicker due to having another component

Not from the specs on my order. not from the specs from anywhere i seen .. It still says 8.6mm thick on all specs. I know for a fact it wont be as thick as Korean version which has a dmb antenna which is a Hair thicker korean is around 9mm... My supplier stated it is the same as international, there is no difference in size. I dont think they will be lying as people have placed orders. SO they would of got the specs straight from samsung before posting them on the net.

If some people think there is lag on the Note with the 1.4Ghz Exynos they'll really think it lags with the 1.5Ghz Snapdragon.

Unless your in an LTE market that this Korean Note will work on and you have an Unlimited data plan there's no reason to get it. The 1.5Ghz Snapdragon is slower than the 1.4Ghz Exynos in the current non-LTE Note. It's slower than the 1.2Ghz Exynos in the SGS2 and people have commented on how the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket which also uses the 1.5Ghz Snapdragon isn't as snappy as the SGS2.

As far as the snapdragon being slow, remember I have tried both chips and unless you are a gamer it is not that noticeable of an issue especially, when new roms start rolling out.

Fighting LG
I guess this is deeper than just responding to the LG phone, it also means that SIII is probably more highly adaptable to combinations of hardware in design than expected.
Although Samsung said the Super AMOLED Plus has a problem or short-lived blue dots, but I think they are reserving it for something even bigger.
Considering the there are also reports saying that Google wants Jelly Beans to be released in Nexus first, I guess Samsung will do something better very soon. What's more, who supplies Apple with the New iPad screen? Samsung!
Maybe "SIII Advanced" with better Super HD AMOLED Plus? Flexible AMOLED? Even thinner body? SIII isn't as slim as we thought.
C'mon man, let's not start another hype-nuke with the Nexus and the amoleds plus 2x epic and flexible amoleds and 1mm phones.

The T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T GSIIIs are not using the MSM8260a. They use the MSM8960 Krait chipset. I am unsure of the Sprint because I can't find the specs. I am pretty sure it utilized the MSM8960 as well. The MSM8960 has been shown to keep up with the current Quad-Core processors. Mainly, the Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset. If you do a Vellamo benchmark, you will see that it scores very close to the HTC One XL which uses the same chipset and beats the One X which is Quad. The GSII 4G and Skyrocket both had the MSM8260 Scorpion chipset. S4 stands for nothing more than Series 4.

but this one seem to have 2gb of ram and quad core. That would be preety awesome, if 4g network coverage will be good of course..

this is the korean but the specs are the same. Korean is the white one. Watch the whole thing look how many apps are loaded in the korean compare to the 9300
Not the best comparison but it shows abit of difference
THings to watch out for, Website, Google Earth, Ram usage, Apps loaded and How he opened gallery up the same time
Edit: Wow I just realised as i watched it again DAMM I cannot wait to get my new beast.
I Saw that months ago, but it the difference also has to be with the lte speed. When you get yours can you do a comparison please? I would also like to buy one but I bought the 9300 a month ago so I don't know. I found a seller, is it trustworthy?
