Chrome+Flash... - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've installed flash, but Flash content doesn't load in chrome...
What to do?

I have Firefox as a backup browser if certain webpages need flash. I had this flashify app installed so when using chrome and the webpage I'm currently in needed flash, I do "share, flashify and choose Firefox".
Of course you must first sideloaded the flash plugin for Firefox to work with flash content.

Chrome doesent support flash. Use flashify or a different browser like the AOSP browser

AOSP Browser without root

Is there any way to install the AOSP Browser without having to root the device? Chrome is just awful and Dolphin isn't as good looking.
Thank you.
To install the AOSP browser, you need to copy the APK file to /system and set the correct permissions. Since this requires root, and the apk does not install by just opening it, I don't really think there is a way to install the AOSP-browser without having root.
Try browser+

Yeah, but I was thinking if there was a modded version.
as far as I understand it, any browser that doesn't use its own rendering engine will use the same engine as AOSP browser. As a result, browsers like Dolphin Mini (NOT normal dolphin) are rendering using the "AOSP" engine. And they technically have even more functionality.

ASOP browser question

I searched and could not find a direct answer.... I am rooted with stock browser. I am updated to 4.3 and recently installed ASOP browser and flash. The browser freezes on websites with flash content and the android flash test page doesn't load... Is there any way to get flash to work with this browser?
thanks

Hi, flyers27...
I've never been able to get Adobe Flash Player working in the AOSP browser under Jellybean 4.3. There's actually a whole thread devoted to this issue here. The thread title declares the problem to be solved... it isn't. The OP mentions that by performing a full factory flash back to stock Jellybean 4.3, the problem should be resolved. Well, I did that (for reasons that have nothing to with Flash), and Flash STILL causes the AOSP browser to freeze/crash.
So, I admitted defeat, sometime back in August, and installed Firefox. For the most part, I use the AOSP browser - but if I know I need to use Flash, I use Firefox.
------------------------------------------
A workaround using Flashify...
This method is dependant on how often you access Flash content... if it's only occasionally, then it's fine and works OK. But if you need to access Flash content a lot, you'd probably be better off just using Firefox as your default browser.
Along with the AOSP Browser, install the Firefox browser.
Then install Flashify.
Set your AOSP browser as default... and use this browser on a routine basis, as normal.
On the occasion you need to access Flash content (say on a given website) in the AOSP browser tap on the menu, and select 'Share page'.... a bunch of listed apps will appear, one of which will be 'Flashify'.
Select 'Flashify', and a list of your installed browsers will appear (including Chrome)... select Firefox.
The webpage URL you're currently looking at will be 'sent' to Firefox... and any Flash content will now work.
Sounds more complicated than it actually is... and I know it's hardly an ideal or an elegant solution, but I've been using this method since mid-August, so it's habitual for me. I do it without really thinking about it.
------------------------------------------
Hope this helps... and if you ever do find a way of making Flash work in the AOSP brower, please post your solution.
Rgrds,
Ged.
I also tried many different browsers but with 4.3 - nothing.
on 4.2 Boat Browser helped me better the Opera of Firefox

Seems to work fine for me. Have you turned on flash in the web content setting in Dolphin?
Flash works fine with Firefox, if you want to use Dolphin , you need to also install the Jetpack and a hacked version of Flash not just the regular one from Flash Archive.
Just google 'Dolphin hack flash'
Yes I have flash turned on in dolphin. On demand, always on. Still nothing. I try to down load the dolphin flash hack and this is what I get on my phone and pc.

Do you still need it? I have it on my S4. You got that page because dropbox was getting too many hits for a "personal" cloud space.

Is it the same with your pc? Judging from the screenshot you posted and your statement that it also happens in your pc may mean that you were the one who violated Google's terms of service. Flash will work on any pc (version-specific disregarded). Maybe you should try to contact Google and let them explain to you the reason behind it.

If it still doesnt work, make sure you uninstall all flash then re-install.
Also, Dolphin website has it too.

UC Browser's Flash Player no longer downloadable

Hi all!
I'm on a custom 4.4.4.
I've been using UC Browser exclusively as a flash player. It's not tagged as an Internet Browser in my phone, but as an emulator .
The thing is the new versions have no support for flash (at least on 4.4.4.), so I never update this app.
I've managed to download an old UC Browser version that works as decent as possible with local .swf files: UC Browser 10.10.8.820.
Along with that one I downloaded the newest available flash player version from Adobe's site - Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81).
No matter how recent the flash player version I got, as soon as I opened UC Browser I was being told that my Flash Player is outdated and I was advised to get a "newer" one, for a simple tap of a button.
Of course that's dubious, but all aside, this was working great. Also, the other apps that supported flash were able to recognize and use this one.
I somehow uninstalled this flash player and nowas we speak, it' s been pulled down. The browser no longer downloads that particular exclusively working version.
Is there anyone out there that happens to have this particular UC Browser's Flash Player installed or backed up? I would be forever grateful.
Thank you!

Running flash files on Android 8

Hello,
I have been running flash files and sites on Android 6 very smoothly using Dolphin video or dolphin browser. After upgrading into Android 8, none of these apps are running well: Dolphin browser is unable to install from google play or from APK, and Dolphin video is unable to work porperly.
Does anyone have any solution for flash files?
Any help around?
People , any idea? development??
It's a 2 step workaround solution :
Go to the play store & install this version of puffin browser:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cloudmosa.puffinFree&hl=en
Open this website:
http://flashplayer.fullstacks.net/
Browse for your local file, upload it & let it play.
