Just bought S3 - Galaxy S III General

Hey guys have just ordered my S3 after dropping and breaking my Nexus . Just wondering what are the best screen protectors/cases you guys use? What ROMS should I use? I was previously using AOKP on my Nexus which was really good and Franco's Kernel. Thanks for any tips very much appreciated

Screen Protectors posts in the Accessories section .
What rom best rom posts are banned you make your own choice .
Use stock until JB is released would be my suggestion .

Congratulations and welcome aboard!
The case+screen protector------I have been using Golla since the day I bought my phone early June, won't hesitate to recommend.
As for custom ROMs,why don't you enjoy/discover the stock for a while since as per widely believed 'hearsays',JB will be pushed around on the 29th of this month?
Best wishes.

there is no answer apart from trial and error....as above, best Rom/most popular Rom threads are banned. There you have your answer. Just do some reading for a few days in development, but you may as well stay stock till jb is released

《tapatalked from galaxy s3》

ok thanks for the replies. I know with my Nexus stock was a problem due to my carrier in Australia not pushing the recent updates. Is this the same with the S3? Basically, I am happy to stay stock if it will be updated to JB over the air like all the other S3's.

Just flash a stock unbranded Rom with Odin

Ok thanks man. Is that for ICS? Is there a program that does it all in one like the toolkit for the nexus?

I always get a "you should sign up to download" message at the site.
Anyway...is this what Samsung uses to flash/diagnose the phones?
Can't this be used for the S2? Is it an updated version that supports S3, or another different odin that supports specifically only the S3?

I guess its an old device now. I thought it was you Ruben who was quitting the galaxy 3. But this thread seems apropos for my question,
I am giving my G3 to a non tech friend who won't want fiddles, she just wants things that work. What would be the best ROM for her.
I am thinking of kyrillos 9.6

you can see from the title.
@rayman95 also do a very light & ultra light rom.
and got another one with heavy debloater, if I'm not wrong is "weightloss" ROM.
but which one fast, I dunno. you try it urself. None of the ROM is fast for everyone. This is you have to understand first.
All the ROMs are good, IF can suit to your needs and usage.
take your sweet time and try.

Have you try, "Download it and try it by yourself" rom?
rom choices
There are so many choices! Has anyone done a "bible of roms"? My previous phone's forum had a list of roms, with descriptions and quick sum ups of how and why this rom was different from stock. I have finally rooted mine, and am in process of trying roms, and really want a 'cheet sheet'.
Thanks to all the developers!
Maybe a search in the development section ?

Stock rom is good and stable. Lots of rom out there try it by yourself because at the end only and you only, will know which is best suit for you.. happy flashing
look at my signature and you can choice the light or ultra
maybe the light one is a good choice because I keep useful apps and remove useless (from my part) or if you don't want anything the ultra is good
otherwise try AOKP rom
