Hey guys,
since I'm a "newly registered user", I can't post to the DEV threads.
But I may have a lead to the Titanium Backup freezing issue with ICS leak based ROMs.
I'm at work so can't test it on my tablet ...
I found this (Question 27, concerning ICS): http://matrixrewriter.com/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=TB+-+Troubleshooting
May I ask someone to link this post as an answer to this one ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23129958&postcount=244
Thx

It seems it's not enough ...
Will continue looking for a fix
EDIT : got it working properly by going to preferences > troubleshooting settings and by ticking "force system busy box".
Hope it helps
The issue i had with TI. Running Vache rom is Ti stopping randomly while making or restoring a backup. If this is the issue you are having below is what i done.
First i changed setting from kill app before backup/restore .If you do not want apps to be skipped you can go into system settings/apps Running apps. Kill the apps in there. Then run Ti backup. this has helped me get a complete restore of all my apps. Thou it did still take a few times.
Hope this helps you as it did work for me. At least i believe so
Maybe try installing a newer version of busybox - that seemed to work for me
I am new to the Kindle Fire, and recently rooted with Kindle Fire utility without a hitch. Many thanks to all the Dev's that put that together, great work. I am not new to rooting and customizing ROMs on Droid phones, but new to the "tablet" world.
However, after doing some searching, I am unable to find information on some things.
1) Google Market. Its running fine, but there are a ton of apps missing from the market (ie Facebook). I have seen some threads on how to fix this if I am on CM7, but was wondering if its possible to do this on a "stock" rooted KF?
2) Blocking updates. Is there an easy way to "block" Amazon from being able to push updates to the device? I know this has caused issues like losing root, etc.
3) Freezing Apps. Are there any "standard" apps or processes that can be frozen/removed from the Stock ROM that aren't needed? I haven't been able to find a definitive "list".
Thanks again,

Hey there.
Let me see. You can use "Titanium backup" to freeze stupid things like maps. I dont have mine anymore so i cant populate a list for you atm. You can try to update the "Market" app to resolve issues with missing apps. My advice: use stock rom, root it. And use a launcher like launcher pro. Then use setcpu.
1 - try the modaco rom - it shows to the market as galaxy tab:

2 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1451328

Editing the build.prop file should fix market visibility. I just purchased and rooted mine last night but i'm also having the same issue. Going to try out this after work. Should do the trick. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371021

Sounds good. I saw this post, but I haven't seen a build.prop for the stock rooted Kindle fire. If you get yours to work, please post it. Thanks!

I would like to stick with the stock rom, since hardware acceleration seems to be an issue with most of the custom roms. Do you know if Modaco supports hardware acceleration?
The only roms that have trouble with hardware acceleration are the ICS roms, all other roms have working HWA.
As far as I know the missing apps from the market can't be fixed if your on stock, even if you edit the build.prop, thats why I moved from stock to cm7.
I don't know if there is a way to completely block amazon updates, but I just froze silentupdate with titanium backup when I was stock and I never got the notification to move from 6.2.1 to 6.2.2.
The only app I know of that can freeze apps is titanium backup pro in the market, and there is no list of apps that can be removed/frozen on the stock rom, just use common sense when removing/freezing the apps, don't delete an app if you don't know exactly what it is or delete the kindle launcher, and then wonder why your homescreen is gone, and make sure to backup any apps you mess with.

modaco is a optimized 6.2.2 stock rom - you can update with it and loose nothing cause it don't format any partitions - read the op of modaco for more information ...

Thanks I will take a look at that. Thanks for the advice.
Looks like MoDaCo for the Kindle Fire was the way to go. My market is working great now, system is very fast, really impressed overall. Still retains the "stock" feel with a few tweak. Now I have to figure out if it doesn't get updates from Amazon.
look at my first post - the link in point 2
allthrough i think in modaco the file is allready removed it's better to check twice
There is a system app called OTA Silent Update and you can just delete it and your all good.
Hi , I own the Galaxy Tab 5110 , and since I'm not really sure about the cleanrom (is it really safe to flash it on this model?) , I'd like to know what are the "bloat" applications made by Samsung wich are safe to uninstall with Titanium backup?
Thanks in advance
Do a backup and try for yourself. I have literally removed almost every single application without a bootloop so I would say you should be okay.
Metallice was kind enough to list the apps he removed from his Custom ROM.
check it out HERE.
This is for the 7", but bloatware should be the same
I have made a List. Just go to the thread: Applications Safe To Remove

It seems that there are not many posts about the TF300TG until now.
There are some differences to the model without 3G, so I guess I would be helpful to collect hints about the TG in this special thread.
I have the TF300TG with the QWERTZ-keyboard, Build: IML74K.WW_epad-9.4.4.28.1-20120525.
Rooting: The "1-Click Transformer Root" 1.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1689193) worked without problems.
Sleeves: The slot for the SIM-Card (btw.: it's a Mini-SIM-slot) is on the left side of the case so the other slots are in another order. So many of the sleeves for the TF300T don't fit exactly with the holes at the wrong positions.
I'm also interested in buying one,how do you like it until now?Do you have light bleeding on display?Which colour do you have? When you browse the net on 3G sim,it became hot? Thanks ! Best Regards!
I have one in blue, doesnt get hot and i dont have light bleeding
Upgraded from tf101 to this one. Quite a difference, the screen is much better in sunlight ;-)

I am in kinda the same situation. I knew that the simcard function wouldnt work though. But make a rollback to the stock version of the TG, sems like a problem somehow. I can install the latest stock for TF300T on my TF300TG device, but for some reason it won't let me install the latest TF300TG on my device.. I even tried to change the build prop in the system so the device again reads as being a TF300TG,.. dispite that, it still wont me let rollback. halts ½way trough the install and gives you a (status 7) error.
without being an expert, I think it has to do with something like we need a recovery file made for the TF300TG Version V9.4.4.28.1. And as I see, no one has made that yet.. And I dunno how to make it

The main problem I think is that pretty much all the dev's sits with the TF300T version only. If they would just make a recovery or a solution that would make the TF300TG owners able to rollback to the stock version for TF300TG, i would be verrrrrry happy. shouldnt be a big problem to solve for dev.
---------- Post added at 03:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:56 PM ----------
After pretty much trying every single solution possible, I finally found a way to roll back to the stock .28 version myself. Now simcard works again .
Will make a thread with a guide on this later today.

Tf300tg build.prop backup // Bluetooth problems
Hello,
As a new happy user of a tf300tg. I just rooted the device. Just in case, I made some backup of apps I'm planning to uninstall, and also build.prop. As someone asked for a build.prop, here is the link.
Build.prop backup
download
Also, did someone tried to phone with a bluetooth headset (voip)?
I tried with 2 differents bluetooth devices without succes. Both headsets are recognized, but no sound (in or out). I tried with several voip apps (bria, csipsimple , acrobits softphone, ...).
No problem with a wired headset by the way. But as I use my tf300tg as my primary phone, it's not really convenient to connect my wired headset each time I have to make or receive a call.
Hey everyone,
I'm planning to try different ROMs for my Redmi K20 to decide which one suits my needs the best.
For that, can someone please tell me how I can backup and restore app+app data for all user apps?
I've tried using Titanium Backup but it freezes while backing up and restoring some apps, due to which the backup seemed useless.
Also, I'm looking for suggestions on ROMs that have minimal bugs and feature quick fingerprint scanning and good battery life.
Thanks!
