Hello I am new to the Nexus 7 and so far it is an outstanding device! I installed Tapatalk and upon opening it, it will just come up and sit at loading... but it won't ever load. Are there any known issues with this? I've tried googling but did not find anything.
Try going to settings > apps and open Tapatalk and force stop it. After that clear cache and data. Then try to open it again if this doesn't work restart your nexus and try opening it. And if that doesn't work try uninstalling it and reinstall it.
Hope this helps.
Current devices:
Asus Nexus 7
HTC Sensation 4G
T-Mobile mytouch 3G (HTC Magic) [DISCONTINUED]

and what do you mean: check the folders?
The same problem with Samsung Galaxy S. Sometimes works, sometimes does not. Sometimes clearing cash helps, sometimes not. Sometimes restart of the phone helps, sometimes not.
I think this is the general problem of Android 2.2 devices.
For me, it has actually turned data off. I have had to go to settings and turn it back on.
Today, I had to set WCDMA only for it to work. On GSM or WCDMA it showed a 3G connection, but no data would actually pass... how can that be?
I read other devices and ROM's are facing similar issues currently so I really think the Market is just unstable right now
I have try everything as well and no luck at all? It is the system problem or the market is down??
I've tried all that and still can't download. Was working fine earlier this morning, and yesterday
One app got installed a few hours back. However, just tried another app which does not get installed.
Glad to hear more people have market issues, that makes a general market problem more likely...

Same here to market issues
I've tried WiFi on and WiFi off some days and I really can't see any difference. With my hero I could see a definite difference.
As far as GPS goes, i thought it was only used when called upon by certain programs?

I'm not being to download apps from the market, some I can download, but its very slow downloading. I get a status in the notification saying its downloading, then it suddenly disappears!??
Anyone else having this problem??
It's starting to get very annoying

Thread closed....I thought the " Known issues on HTC Desire HD....post your problems or issues here" was created for these type of concerns.
Starting today, I'm only seeing 6 Featured Tablet Apps and the list doesn't expand. I can stil expand the Top Free Apps section, but there was a third section there yesterday (I don't remember what it was) and now that's gone. I still have the categories and things still seem to be searchable.
No root yet.
Just have been installing apps.
And literally, now it's back.
I'm having the same issue. I've done several reboots and a factory reset thinking it might be something to do with the device itself, but nothing changes. It worked fine yesterday when I bought it. Hopefully this issue clears itself up soon.

All I did to clear it up was to just start searching around for apps. I literally searched "tablet apps", took a look at a couple of the results in detail, then backed out to the home menu and then there everything was.
I wonder if it's related to Honeycomb in general.
its the samefor me .but take your browser to the market site and works well.
tthis xda site is/slow for me tonight for some reason boohooo
same for me as well. However after i root the my AA500, it back.. Go figure!!!
Hi everyone. Im trying to find out if anyone has any suggestions for a problem my wife is having on her Atrix. Her Atrix is completely stock with the most up to date updates installed.
She often lets our son look at youtube videos and sometimes (actually often) the phone will completely freeze. The only way to get it back to normal is with a battery pull. My son uses my phone for youtube also. I have an Atrix unlocked and rooted. I dont think that mine has ever froze while he is using it.
Can anyone say why this might happen and how to correct it?
First thing I'd try is clearing the YouTube data in settings.
Then go to the Android Market and search "YouTube". Sometimes they have a "manual update" hiding in there.
If that doesn't work I'd clear the phone cache, then dalvic cache if the phone cache doesn't work.
Finally if all else fails (and you have no 3rd party security App installed to cause any conflicts) then I'd go for the factory reset...

Thanks. I will try your suggestions and see what happens.

So I set up my Wifi only nexus 7 using a mobile hotspot from my phone and everything went okay. But when I got to my home network I was unable to download or update any apps from the play store as I kept getting an error about the package file being invalid. Trying all the trick I could find to fix this.(without using recovery)...
Removed Google account...
Cleared cache and data and uninstalled updates on Google play and framework.... Rebooted and still have the problem.
Anyone else having this problem?
Any ideas how to fix this?

I'm having the same issue. Started yesterday. I thought it was the update I was trying to do, but I'm getting it on my Nexus 7 and my GS4. I've tried everything you've tried, and it still isn't downloading the updates to Facebook Messenger or Instagram.
Im having this exact same issue with google apps on the playstore. Cleared cache and data from Google Play and was able to download a few updates but issue still persists. Yesterday my tablet was going crazy saying something to the effect of a UID mismatch and it would just keep looping between that and the boot logo. Reset to factory via TWRP and the error went away but the package file invalid persists. I had been getting various force closes with google framework, launcher...etc fresh out of the box without installing a thing. I really want to like this device but all these errors are making me regret giving my original nexus to my son.
I am having the same issue trying to download the Kindle app over wifi from the play store. I was thinking that I could take the app from my old tablet and then move it to the new tablet. Is there an easy way to do this? Both tablets are rooted.
Thanks, Dennis
I posted this in the thread I made but I have found two solutions to this problem.
1) Install tunnelbear vpn, make an account, and connect to US network.
2) Tether your phone's mobile connection to your tablet. However, I would only do this if you aren't worried about data limits or the app isn't that large.
These two methods have worked for me and I have tried just about everything else. Factory resets, changing DNS settings, clearing data, etc, etc. Nothing like this seems to work since it seems to be a problem on Google's end.
I had this issue but only with one app...
I tethered with my GS3 and it worked

I've tried every "fix" I've seen and nothing works for me: will likely have to wait for a fix from Google. In the meantime, the Amazon app store has many of the same applications and it is not having this issue.
EDIT:
Sideloading also seems unaffected.
I am having the same issue tons of apps not updating. Error 497 and package file is invalid. Also having issues on my Verizon Note 2 my brother on his S4 on Sprint. WTH is going on with Google.

Same issues here. Only thing I can do to get around it is tether to my phone. Driving me crazy. Hoping for a fix soon.
Having this issue for a lot of apps too. I've downloaded quite a few just fine but whenever I go looking for a new one I get this error for things like Google Play Books and Light Flow.
edit: I decided to turn on my phone's hotspot and connect to that instead of my apartment wifi, and it worked then. This is such a strange issue.
Tried both WiFi and my phones tether, no dice when updating hangouts or downloading certain apps. Ughhhh. Such a pain

I guess I should note that I tried other methods first, like clearing data/force stopping Google Play and Google framework services, and then restarting.

I don't use it either but I hate not having things updated!
same error. tried everything I found on the web. can't even connect to my phone anymore...
This has nothing to do with the nexus 7..
Think this could be related to network setup? I have a static address and I use a default gateway. Anyone else seeing this have their router set up this way?

Is it a 4.3 thing then? My Rezound does not have this problem.

It's a PlayStore thing.
Have seen reports of devices of various types on everything from HC to 4.3 with the same issue.

Yep. And in fact, here's the weird part.... On phones if you're having the issue on Wifi, try the download over Celluar and it'll likely work.
Weird stuff.
Hi all,
Feel like I'm missing something simple. I have installed Beanstalk 4.3.1001-20131010-xt907 on my Verizon RAZR m. Unlocked, rooted, no problems...
Everything works great except the portable hotspot shows error when I try to check the box to turn it on.
I tried looking for the entitlement check hack, but the settings.db file for Settings Storage in this Rom doesn't have things set up the same as stock and I can't find the entitlement check line to change.
I saw in the developers discussion that someone else had a similar issue, but couldn't find a solution. Is this a known big, our am I missing something simple.
Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Keep trying it. It'll show error a bunch of times, but it works eventually
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
Will this be a one time thing and it will continue to work after that, or will I have to go through the error thing every time I need the hotspot?
Sent from my Nexus 7
So I've tried it several times. Doesn't work... says error and then is greyed out until restart. Any thoughts or alternative solutions?

Hmm... Till restart? Sounds like a different bug than I have... Have a logcat?
