The ones in the galaxy tab 2 section under galaxy tab 2 10.1. To avoid confusion, the series 2 devices are together instead of grouped with their similar predecessors.

Um, that's the older 7" WIFI only Tab. See the buttons on the bottom of the bezel?
Yes i know, that's why i wrote that i hope it will not happen to the new ones.
Because the reason could be to cut cost, which can happen to anything Samsung.

Haha fail, I didn't see that. I hope not :O
Since the Galaxy Tab 3G was already released and reviewed, it was easy to be sneaky a gimp the wifi version later since it probably wouldn't get re-reviewed again by most.
With the Galaxy Tab 10.1 being released as wifi first, they can't be sneaky this time. So I doubt the wifi version will be gimped.
This should be moved to the original GTAB forum...

Samsung confirms Galaxy S II will receive Android 4.0 ICS
Samsung UK announced via its Twitter feed that the Galaxy S II will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s hardly a surprise since the Galaxy S II lineup is based on top-notch hardware and the latest Android Gingerbread.
Unfortunately, there is no information on release dates or any details on the other Galaxy S II members (besides I9100). Still, we guess all the Galaxy S II phones should be eventually upgraded to ICS.
Also, the information comes from Samsung UK, but we guess it should apply for all the countries the Galaxy S II is available in.
I'm not looking forward to seeing what Samsung's touchwiz does to the look and feel of ICS. I really didn't like what they did with the Galaxy Tab, even though it may have a few nice functions. The overly light and colourful look of TouchWiz is unappealing to me.
What I'm most interested about though is what they are going to do with the buttons. I would like to see the menu button be used for multitasking, but then I don't know how they could deal with legacy apps that still require a menu button...
I don't want to have to hold down the home button for an unspecified amount of time to get to the multitasking screen any more.
Arm your flame-shield.
Oh for god sake! Now i noticed it, i posted the wrong link. ****... Sorry guys. anyway someone made a thread about this same thing with the right link. **** im stupid...

It would probably take a lot of time and effort as the tab 2 is based on an entirely different SOC. By the time we can get something working there will probably be an official update out for us.
Good luck for anyone who wants to give the a try though!

I think they were referring to the port of sense 4 for the nexus s but it would be pretty cool for us! I shame the hox resolution is just below our tabs!

XDA is no longer worth my time.
If you could have waited for the firmware to come out. Our tab and tab 2 would make no difference except the name has 2 I it and the chipset. That's all. Why port when you can wait for a little little longer

If you really want to do something, find a way to write a camera driver for ICS!
I don't write FW, hell I can barely write PC code...but couldn't the camera driver for an older version be used as a starting point? Voice of ignorance asking here.

Samsung and Google didn't release HC source, so there is no way currently to use the old camera driver of the older version.
It should be coming soon though, if ICS for Tab is actually rolling out next month.

How is this possible? I thought android is licensed under the GPL so it is mandatory to provide the sourcecode either public or upon request.

[NEWS] Tab 10.1 Banned in the States

Well, Apple's done it again. They've been granted a preliminary ban on the sale of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the States. This decision could get turned around... but with the Note 10.1 around the corner, will it really matter? Samsung's taken steps to ensure the the Note 10.1 is different enough from the iPad that this shouldn't be an issue.
Here's the article:

EDIT: Oops! Haven't had my coffee yet... it's the Tab 10.1 that's banned.

Edit: New s-pen features coming, not a new S-pen

Edit: The article I read was premature and made it appear a new S-pen Is coming. New features may be coming, but no all new S-pen

You might want to update the title or have the Mods delete this thread so people don't have to read the whole page to see that there is no new S-Pen.
You mean like I just did lol?
Or realize Note 4 came with new SPen with pressure sensitive. I've used it in draw apps & Snote. Pressure affects how the pen fans what you write. Makes cool calligraphy. Old Note isn't as fun now. They cover the new pen on product detail of phone
I saw someone mention somewhere that the tips included are different? Like different pressure.. Anyone have any idea whether this is true or not? I always thought they were just different colors..

I tried. I simply based it on the only article I saw at the time.
I had to actually break out the browser to do it since I didn't see a way to do it with the app.
Having looked at the potential, they could do some really cool things with this spen.
I wish it had a mic and small speaker on it, nothing crazy or fancy. I thought at one time there was a Bluetooth one you could answer calls on but I can't remember exactly

Try the other color.. they have a diferent feel to them, and artists might want to use the other ones. it was confirmed in a note 3 thread that the two tip types are slightly different, and are made of different materials.

Really Hmmnn.. Lol, I have to trade in my 3 and they came with different tops also.. Lol, let me but YouTube for instruction..
Funny thing is, I have used every note and never changed a tip. That would be cool if they were different, like lighter..
