Rom is stable and a good daily driver, the only thing is the capacitive buttons do not light up and they remain off. There is no option to turn them on or off. Do your capacitive buttons light up? Was that option removed from the ics menu??? Anyway we can get that back in there? Kernel fix?

IT seems to be a kernel problem. Change your brightness and the'll light up.
Got the final build to work, installed over the beta. Only issues are that the keys only light up after changing brightness, or using rootdim. The volume rockers don't wake the screen, date in status bar is 24 hour mode, and trying to chang that crashed the status bar.

People like me find it really impossible to switch back from ics to gb permanently. And its also impossible for me to keep using ics, with poor video recording and playback, GPS wakelock bug, crappy game performance and buggy bluetooth. And you can't keep ics and gb side by side with the original multirom since they need to be compatible with the same kernel. But with this app, you can
What is Tassadar's Multirom? See website and original thread
Features:
Apart from the existing features which were there in the original app, this has:
ROM switching:
This app changes kernels by creating boot.img backups and flashing them. Flashing hardly takes a second in gingerbread. In ics and higher, it may take a bit longer.
ROM zip modder (to flash directly sd-ext):
You can use this app to modify your ROM zip to flash directly to sdext. You can flash it with any recovery. The modified rom zip will have multirom embedded in its boot image. So, no need to flash multirom after installing every rom.
This method is experimental.
A few points worth noting here:
-- Modded zip names will have the prefix "mrom-".
-- The boot image (with multirom in it) of the last modded zip is stored at /sdcard/multirom/tmp_boot.img. You can simply rename it with any file manager.

Version history:
v1
Added boot.img backup / restore. (Backups are stored in /sdcard/multirom/)
Asks for default boot location after you flash.
Added back and reboot buttons in Updater, so that you can reboot right after flashing.
Enabled ICS theme and made some layout changes to suit with it.
v2
Now its possible to select a backup ROM as default after restoring boot image. (For those who keep 3 or mopre ROMS).
Fixed Czech translation
Fixed a minor bug which was there in the original app; it displayed "Multirom folder not found" instead of "No backups found"
v3
lots of bugs were introduced in the last version. Choosing backups should work correctly now.
v4
Now you can flash a rom to sdcard directly FROM ANY RECOVERY.
When modding your ROM zip, a preview of the updater script will be shown. You can edit it, if needed.
It is recommended to keep a copy of multirom.zip on sdcard. If you choose to download it from internet, it will be saved at /sdcard/multirom/multirom.zip.
You can now erase your default rom (on sdcard of course) directly from this app before flashing a new one. Go to "manage ROMs".
Also shows the size of your default ROM.
bug fixes.
v4.2
Script will mount sd-ext automatically before flashing in recovery.
if /sdcard/multirom/multirom.zip is found, it will use that for preparing zips.
v5.1
fixed "Cant move active ROM to backup!"
fixed absurd behavior and FCs during zip modding, which would happen if you cancel the process and try again.
shows detailed progress during zip modding.

How to install a new ROM in sd card
Just use the app to mod a ROM zip and flash the modded zip in recovery.
Simplified instructions for first time users
I have tested this method with cm9(arjen's nightlies) , cm10(rasheed's rom) , cm7(gingerblur) and stock roms(dynamite and resurrection).
Long method (only if the above process fails with certain ROMs):
Its somewhat similar to the original process here.
- If you haven't, perform up to step 2 of the original guide.
- Make nandroid backup (ur gonna need this). Wipe. flash ROM which you wanna to have on SDcard.
- Flash multirom.zip, even if you did earlier ( because everything gets wiped after flashing the ROM ). Get multirom.zip from http://tasssadar.github.com/multirom
- Backup ROM's boot.img with recovery (preferably AmonRA, because it lets u do selective backup). you need to copy the file to /sdcard/multirom/ later.
- Go to "MultiROM options" menu and select "Create from current ROM".
- Restore nandroid backup from beginning of this step and reboot.
How to switch ROMs:
1. (Only if you haven't done this before) Backup boot.img of current ROM
2.
Warning: To backup/restore a boot image, you need at least 160 MB of free RAM. This is not a big deal in gb (where u have 300+ MB of RAM). But in ics, you may need to free up RAM using a taskkiller. A bad flash will make your device unbootable. (you will still be able to boot in recovery though)

This is something that I have been working on for the past 2 weeks. Didn't want to
release it until I knew others can handle it. This is G-Harmony4.0.4 broken down on
Crack. Fully Deodexed with Modded scripts to Match. After Installation and setup is
complete let it rest for 10 - 15 minutes to allow the Dalvic to build. After that hold on
with both hands and enjoy the ride. Sorry this only comes as a 160 lcd, but can be
by changing the build prop.
I want to thank tjohnsonjr for bring us [ROM-AOSP][BL-1.2]G-Harmony ICS 4.0.4 ODEXed

Also Special Thanks goes to fosser2 for helping me out with some initial issues, and bring us

Then I update and it just keeps getting better
This one will keep going all night long
Now I bring you SmOoTh_IcE 4.0.4 (deodexed)

Yeah it does that if you don't let it rest for the whole 10 to 15 min. Some devices might react different. Maybe needing a longer cool off period. I am running this along with everyone that does so I can try to duplicate issues as they come in if any and try to resolve them.

Like all the ICS Builds for the Gtab we are using the Kernel off of Team DRH's build made by fosser2 and others. Once they get the kernel perfected there will be no Camera. This has Kernel base 1.3 I took the build with 1.3.2 off line. To the Sleep of Death issue Yes there is always that chance of it happening. Just beware of what you are doing and also word of advise change your display sleep setting to max.

Great, I will look for it. Thanks for the work.
This is AOSP Jellybean 4.1.2 built from source.
This ROM is pure AOSP not CM based. The ROM was built with the user tag so the framework and most of the system apks are ODEXed. The purpose of this ROM is give as close of a OEM feel as possible.
Advantages of an ODEXED
The odexing bring some advantages, less ram usage, faster boot times and reduced Space occupied in /data/dalvik-cache , so MORE spare for Apps and Data
Thanks to Team DRH(credit goes to these guys, without their hard work this ROM would not be possible) Preludedrew, Gojimi, Kornyone, The Cyanogenmod team, eugene373, nobe1976 and all the devs out there.
*YOU MUST DO A COMPLETE WIPE BEFORE FLASHING THIS ROM. If you get stuck on the "android" screen, in Clockwork, go to mounts and storage>format system and format data. Then wipe data/factory reset and wipe dalvik cache. Then reflash the Rom. YOU CAN NOT FLASH THIS OVER ANY OTHER ROM.
SAME AS TEAM DRH ROM..DO NOT LET YOUR TABLET SLEEP WITH THE USB PLUGGED IN TO YOUR COMPUTER.

Awesome! The best Black Friday Deal! Your work is greatly appreciated, as always.
One quick question: going over 350MB system, or can we flash over 250MB.

Great work, I downloaded this within an hour or 2 of it being uploaded and it's the snappiest rom I've tried in recent times. Pity it doesn't use the full 1G of ram on my Malata Z-pad. Is there anyway to change this? The only problem I've seen so far is trying to run flash on the stock browser.
in comparison how is this rom to the smoother 4.1.2 that was just released?
Prepping the Gtab
I got the rom downloaded and ready to go. I'm coming from ALPHA DIRTY-BEAN 4.1.X rom, and not sure if I need to do anything to prep the gtab such as partitioning the SDcard or changing anything with the system paritions?
Shall I just do the wipes as per OP and then copy over the rom and flash there?
Thanks.
Great job.... loving it so far. Was able to successfully load on top of smoother bin with a wipe of dalvik catche

I noticed when using XDA app and I press on a post where a menu pops up asking if I want to reply, quote, multi, etc. My screen goes completely blank with some brightness. I press the power button then the faint brightness goes away (again with nothing on the screen). I press it again and the unlock screen shows up and I'm back to where I had left off. It's strange and seeing that more consistently now when going to settings.
I hope I'm making sense. Is anybody else seeing the screen going off from time to time? Thanks.

I've had a few screen bugs/display glitches but I haven't had to turn the screen off and on. I've only had one reset so far...was running it for three solid hours and was just finishing up a game of Angry Birds Star Wars when it happened.
This is a nice alternative to smoothbean... this will give you the stock experience.

I don't think so. Still same kernel from Fosser, so same hardware stuff that don't work!
BTW, this rom seems very nice! Still in test. Thank you tjohnsonjr!
Sorry for bad english
VERY NICE!!! Just left smoothbean for this, had a bunch of slowdowns with that. So far so good.

Please explain what you observe as differences and improvements between this and smoother. Thanks.
I have "free ram" envy.... nice build, must be the odexed.
Great job with this rom. Its really fast and hardly and slowdowns. Unfortunately, Netflix won't open for some reason. It flickers the screen for a second and nothing happens. No error message or anything. YouTube videos don't seem to play either in the app. Every video says there's an error loading. Anyone else experience the same issue?

I have the same problem with youtube, it can only play with HD turned off. This rom run better for me. Came over from the Smoother 4.1.2 Rom, snappier browser load time. I hope the next version fix the youtube HD problem.
[Support Thread]Unofficial CM 10.1 and Kernel builds by temasek
Firstly, I am not the developer of this. Unofficial CM 10.1 builds are developed by temasek.
Link to the thread is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797109
Link to temasek kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29339117&postcount=4
This thread is create for the support of his builds. Members can post support related stuffs over here. I will be maintaining OP with user suggestions, issues and requests over here.
Some common rules :
Code:
1. Dont ever ask for ERAs for fixing of an issue.
2. While reporting an error in the ROM, try attaching a log report. This will help temasek solve the issue efficiently.
3. Dont be rude while posting issues.
4. Suggestions and requests are accepted but neither I nor the developers himself can guarantee when the it is implemented.
5. I will be updating the OP whenever I get to my PC (I aint online 24/7. Neither does temasek). So, please be patient.
6. Avoid posting the same issue over and over again. When it is resolved then it will be strikes off from the list.
7. And yeah, sorry for any inconvenience caused by either me or temasek. He is a very busy man. So, if he is not able to reply to any post, then dont be annoyed. He will try and cover up the issue from the OP itself.
Re: [Support Thread]Unofficial CM 10.1 builds by temasek
User Response :

Re: [Support Thread]Unofficial CM 10.1 builds by temasek
Let me start with my issue that really annoying for quite some time. It doesn't happen specifically to temasek rom only but also to other cm10.1 based rom.
I have issue with my data connection. It kept disconnected on me. Whenever the signal icon showing 3g, data seems not working. It will only working when it changed to H+.
I have flash many baseband, disable fast dormancy, do a clean install, wipe all and flash stock (doesnt happen in stock rom), it just happen over n over n over again. Change preferred network to wcdma only, wcdma preferred, no changes. I even freeze all my apps in case if any of my apps causing it, but no, still happen. Trying flash many different rom in case it is rom issue but it happen in all ROM. Damn, im getting tired now and hope anyone can give a hints, help or an idea what might be the problem.

I have experienced this with almost every rom i have used till date. When 3g is shown, the net isn't connect. It requires H symbol to connect to net. Will add this issue in the list

Depending on the network type u chose, when your network is idle, it will stay at 3G but when there's data connection, it will be in H or H+.
I don't think it's a bug.

The thing is, it stays idle till the request time out. Sometimes i had to toggle the airplane mode, sometimes i had to toggle the data (off/on data) and sometimes i had to reboot. It just stays permanently there in 3g with non working data.. Or else, i wont go through all the troubles flash many baseband, flash many different ROM, and it happen randomly.
Edit: it not happened just in your ROM but every cm10.1 based ROM that i tried. It happened a lot less in your ROM thus may make me stick with yours for now.

Try NOT to match ril to your modem. Just use whatever ril from the rom. Also note latest modern may not work great on your device.
Sometimes, you experience a BETTER performance by NOT marching the ril.

Maybe disabling fast dormancy can help.. or is this something totally different? My data seems to work fine with newest rom and kernel
As you can see, i didn't match the RIL and i didnt flash the newest (this is my fresh install coming from RB as I've used it for few days but still having the same issue.
Disabling fast dormancy is one of the earliest thing i did whenever i flash any ROM.
I didn't use adaway, im using adfree (turning it off doesn't make any different)
Man.. Just to post this already took more than few minutes for me (few times open/close xda app, few time toggling data, change net preferences to wcdma preferred/wcdma only back and forth)
**Sigh**

I can't get the default.profile working in STweaks.
I unziped it en copy/pasted it in data/.temasek but it doesn't use it. Even when i manually enter the values in STweaks after a reboot al the cpu scaling and hotplug is reset to the original settings.
What am i doing wrong?

Delete the default.profile in data/.temasek, paste in Tema's one, make a change, apply and if you want revert the change and apply. That made it stick on reboot for me.

Really nice work Nick, i just installed this rom and sometimes when i'm installing an app from my sdcard the system process does not respond even if the installation is successful and i just have to click wait. This does not happen if i install directly from the play store. Anyway, apart from this little thing everything seems to work perfectly.
Search button instead of power
Hi guys,
For All people Who wants to get Search Button back instead of POWER Behavier, follow the guide:
Open any else file manager (i prefer ROOT EXPLORER) go on SYSTEM/USR/KEYLAYOUT and you will see "Generic.kl", (Make sure you are on R/O). Hold on "Generic.kl" and open it as a "Text editor" scroll down the page till you found "key 217 POWER" and just replace "POWER" with "SEARCH"! Remember don't change anything else. Now hit on menu button and "Save and exit". You will be automatically created a "Generic.kl.bak" so don't worry if you mess something up. Now reboot your device and your are OK with the Button
System/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl -----> Text Editor ----> replace "key 217 POWER" -----> with "key 217 SEARCH" (without quotation marks [ NO "" ])
Respect the structure on the lines!!
