Those are CDMA providers. A GSM phone like the sensation is not compatible.

You aren't going to find a prepaid provider with a 10gb cap.
Red pocket (an AT&T MVNO) caps out at 1gb
H20 (another AT&T MVNO) offers 2gb
Straight talk (not an option for you...but, they also offer a T-Mobile BYOD SIM) that is more lenient on throttling than the,AT&T side.
There's Simple Mobile (T-Mobile MVNO), but they throttle as well and their speeds suck.
There's more that I haven't listed I'm sure but those are the ones I can name off the top of my head.
@Mr obvious: if switching phones was an option or, something he/she wanted to do don't you think they would've mentioned it.

Well your user name fits.
I go by what people ask for/say in their posts/questions and don't assume that anything else is an option.
I wouldn't switch my phones to join a carrier. I'd just switch carriers. Which is EXACTLY what he was asking.

Not only is the TMO sim from ST more lenient than an AT&T-compatible sim, the speeds are much better. In fact, even on EDGE I get better speeds than when I had 3G with the AT&T card. With the re-farming of the 1900 PCS spectrum, I'll have HSPA on my non-AWS phones. A win-win in my book.

It doesn't. Notice on the picture says compatible with, lists tmbile att and simplemobile and underneath it, it has a big 3G with at&t next to it. that means it only works on at&t(and those companies that use the same bands as at&t) for 3g.
So tmobil cant buy this phone, ty

I'm pretty sure you can.
The T Mobile Network is the T Mobile Network. It's not like they have a separate network for pre paid plans.
For definitive answers just call T mobile customer service. They will give you the answer real quickly.

Ditto. They can cut you off if you go over a certain amount (most people say around 2-3GB a month), but so far I've used around that amount and been good. I know some people who have gone way over (5GB) and been fine too. If you use them, don't fill in the proxy fields in the APN, just the MMS proxy stuff. If you stream constantly, this service is not for you. However for anything else it's great. And you get real AT&T speeds (I've personally gotten up to 5 Mbps in some areas).

Yup ive used 2gb and been fine, and have also heard of people going over 5gb and been fine. But id say 2gb would be the safe zone, which is probably plenty for most. Just use wifi whenever you can
my sim will be coming soon and since im gonna be using a pre 2 i dont think data limits are anything to worry about. i just want stable reliable signal where I can text and get calls reliably from a certain area sprint doesnt cut it but ATT does. my question is i am a part time promotor for clubs so i send out a crap load of texts (on sprint i saw my amount and it was around 22000 lol)
if i decide to make this my main phone i will be consuming that much.....phone calls arent an issue i mainly talk only to my gf for long periods of time at night lol
will i be kicked off for this usage?

You could get your cellphone activated on Clearwireless if it's available in your area. It works on HTC EVO, and I think it would on sensation... Just google "activate htc evo on clearwireless" to get on the right path... Good luck!

Yes, it does. GSM SIMs and (for example) the SIMs used by Verizon (I don't, know if, Sprint has switched to a SIM based system for their up and coming LTE network) would not be compatible. You CANNOT USE A device like the Sensation on a CDMA network, period.

Sprint uses "integrated SIMs" for their LTE phones, which basically means they still use the same MEID/ESN system. Identical to the old 3G/WiMax system. And yes, you're correct. You can't use a GSM phone on a CDMA network period. You can, however take a hybrid GSM/CDMA phone (like a Droid 2 Global) and get it to work on GSM networks by hacking the radio not to ignore domestic networks like AT&T and T-Mobile.

Possbile to use Droid X with Boost or Virgin?

Hey-
I am considering buying a Droid X used from Amazon. I want to use it with a prepaid plan from either Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile. Is this possible? What other carriers beside Version can I use with the X. I know it's a CDMA phone so I won't be able to use it on AT&T or T-Mobile.
Thanks!

Can the DX be connected to CDMA WS or QPST? If so I may be able to help flash to Boost. I have flashed many other phones (including verizon phones) but have not done a DX yet personally.
If anyone could get this going, that would be great!

The Droid X cannot be flashed to GSM carriers such as ATT or T-Mobile.
However, the Droid X can be flashed to carriers such as Cricket via QPST and CDMA Workshop.
Edit: The Droid X also cannot be flashed to Sprint even though it is a CDMA carrier, they use conflicting radio hardware. So theoretically you could have voice and text, but not data.

Bad idea. HW SERIAL PORT - is the hardest way. you just need to turn on the phone with camera button pressed and connect to PC. Then install the drivers from this topic for the device Diag Interface.

Pisses me off free unlock method

I did the free unlock method and pop in a prepaid t- mobile micro Sim card and wile it don't prompt for an unlock code it surely don't/won't connect to internet or even show E ,4G,4G LTE at all.I have to switch to stock rooted MDL just to use the service mode *#0011# and have tried just about everything with the exception of using fastgsm.com on the account of not owning a computer. I even tried sha256 back on and inserted the T-Mobile card and enter *#0011# to repeat the process. Still no unlock code prompt either way and no real service either way.anybody can reply/pm me

Tmobile has poor coverage. Good prices, but poor coverage.
That's not the reason. OP is using an AT&T S4. Any time you use an AT&T phone on T-Mobile, all you get is 2G.

Like I said before, any time you bring an AT&T phone to T-Mobile, all you get is 2g data. Anything you try to get better will not work. If you want better either buy a T-Mobile device or get an international version of the device. Best option in this case is to sell the AT&T phone and use that money towards a new device.

I had issues with Tmobile at my house, just sitting outside on the deck... 1 bar of EDGE. Phone calls would work 25% of the time. Data would work, but rarely.
[soapbox]
As a side note... I HATE the current state of the cell phone industry in the USA. All phones should be unlocked, penta band, and sold directly from the manufacturer. Issues like this would never come up and the prices would stay down to be competitive.

From what I can tell, it looks like the process didn't flash correctly. Restore your backup (assuming you made one) and try again. It could have been a bad download. Try re-downloading the needed files. If that still fails, try another USB port and wire if necessary. If all else fails, t-mobile sucks horribly in your area.
