So i was just playing around with my phone and managed to make this happen. No rooting, no modding, no theming. Simple pure touchwiz.
EdIt: Added a few more screenshots whIle I was at it.
@khpatel4991 turns out you CAN take a screenshot of the homescreen transitions.

Guess it has been connected to a mhl adapter, when you plug it to your tv I.e. the tw launcher can be rotated.

I have done it before, you sorta have to find an app that allows rotation and then while rotated un check the screen rotation and it should stay sideways but doesn't always work...

it happened to me too a few times after playing a game on landscape and then after exiting the game back to homescreen, the homescreen is in landscape for a few seconds. that made me thinki landscape mode for homescreen is possible.

Well thanks for your interest everyone. The way i had it was like this. I was playing Redbull motocross (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...um=organic&utm_term=redbull+moto+x+play+store) (which operates in landscape FYI) and i used swypepad ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/...W9iaS5jb25kdWN0aW9uLnN3aXBlcGFkLmFuZHJvaWQiXQ.. ) to turn on Screen Filter ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ch_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5oYXhvciJd).
Now when the screen was dimmed by Screen Filter and the phone tried to return to the game, I guess the game didn't like it much. So it closed and dropped me back to the main menu. Which, as u all saw in the post topic was in landscape and stayed so for around 5-10 seconds.
So this functionality does indeed exist. I wonder why Samsung decided to keep it away from us and do hope that they soon release a future update that allpws us tp use the phone in landscape.
Because more options always mean more fun.
Cheers.

Just installed through Mobile Odin:
Good:
NO FCs YET!
Wifi data indicators back!
Network mode setting back!
3D effect in launcher!
FM Working again!
XILA2 overscroll glow, more subtle.
Deep sleep works. It always has! Stop asking!
GPS works in maps app and GPS test apps!
Extremely fast GPS lock, even indoors! Extremely unreal of Samsung devices
Quite stable.
Private browsing.
Market works perfectly.
Faceunlock works. *sigh*
USB mode works!
USB host working apparently!
Vibration works well.
Data stats shows individual apps!
Data indicator working!
Helvetica S replaced by Helvetica Neue (used on retina display iPhones).
Bad:
Google widgets still can't be resized.
You have to manually set APN sometimes.
Market FCs when you try to use voice search.
MHL not working.
Ugly:
New samsung animations, similar to GB.
Google Apps logos in notifications bar look distorted and ugly.
Task switching looks weird. See below in screenshots.
Mirrors for those asking:
http://samsung-updates.com/download/?id=270 ~thanks Grooby

There will be people who don't like TWlauncher, but it's just a matter of haters gonna' hate. Besides, there will probably be a lot more people complaining if things were drasticaly changed.

Nope, still have to use MTP
What do you mean by "New samsung animations, similar to GB."??
App opening animations. You know, like the ones ported from ICS to GB
In previous alpha builds the gallery would freeze up on me viewing pics and videos. Do you see any lagging or have any weird force closes yet?

What's horizontal swiping like?
The LPB kernel on CM9 works great, with the exception of a much longer swipe being required to go from screen to screen.
Edit: should add the GPS module works as it should on LPB as well.
Thanks a lot for saving my work. Please update it with more points, it will help us all.

The GS1 and GS2 had the ability to adjust the screen brightness by sliding your finger across the notification bar. I've seen that in some GS3 custom roms, this feature was added. You had the ability to toggle this feature on or off under a certain subsetting in settings.
Is there a way to add this feature without loading a custom rom? I use it every day on my Epic. Thanks
I really miss this option also!
I think the only way we will be able to get this back is through a custom ROM.

This feature alone will drive me to a custom ROM, but only after the capability to wipe flash counter and go back to stock, in case of warranty need.

Amazed at what people can miss. Not to be a peni$ here, but this feature has been there since HoneyComb on my other tablets.
This is my first Android phone, so I cannot say if phones had it prior to ICS. I don't even know if other ICS phones support that, but this being a tablet and I can attest that this feature is not new and has been there since HC on old tablets.
What would be a neat feature is:
1. Add an icon to swipe. Just like on iPhones. I learnt how to modify those swipers that I made my own: with my girlfriend's pic, my pic, my motorcycle, my car, my ***, etc, etc.
2. Gesture unlock just like in Win8. Doodle on a picture to unlock the device. This looks like fun.

A lot of us came from the Note7 and have the gear fit 2, has anyone set it up on the v20 and if so could you post a tutorial here? Or better yet make a how to thread in the news and guides section. My problem here is I only have one hand atm because of a recent surgery and in not sure I want to open this box if its a pain in the butt. This way I can sell the watch easier if I'm not so moved to set it up! lol thanks in advanced.

Is there any place where all the different health apps are compared? We got SHealth, LG Fit, Google Fit... never mind dedicated apps like Runkeeper vs Runtastic (I don't know the difference between those either, except that I have used Runkeeper and not Runtastic).
I don't mind manually entering stuff. I don't really trust the calorie estimates on my Gear Fit 2, and I only use it to track steps, something I don't necessarily need aggregated. If I did need it aggregated, of course, I could probably be bothered to enter it manually if one app was markedly better.
I feel like all I'm seeing right now are just "22 best fitness apps" and they don't really care about apples-to-apples comparisons, even.
I don't use them so I wouldnt know. I just installed it to ensure it works lol

No problem. A lot of people were wondering. I have the Gear S2 classic, but I assume all Gear S2 would support the same thing since they are all the same OS and stuff.
We have Gear Fit 2's and got our V20's last night and in no time at all got them setup with no issues.

Trying to find a better keyboard app for my phone, I'm not impressed by mine. Please show your keyboard and explain which keyboard app you're using (or launcher/theme). Just a screen shot of the letters is fine.
EDIT: I have the T-mobile SM-N960U, thus it currently CANNOT be rooted (from what I've read). Please keep your suggestions to those that do not require root. Thanks!
Absolutely love "Venom Theme" (Available in Xda labs) still the Samsung Keyboard but works just fine for me :good:
I am using stock keyboard.
The only thing I don't like about it is that spelling works only for one language at a time.
For instance Swype checked spelling and suggested corrections in two languages (my local and English).
With Samsung I need to switch between languages. It's not hard (swype space bar).. but still a little inconvenient.
Nothing has worked better for me than SwiftKey since I started using it back when Android was still Eclair and had a Samsung Moment.
Even the Beta is solid.
I've tried a couple but always come back to SwiftKey.
