Umm dude I did not scratch it what so ever I just unboxed my birthday gift and then BAM there was a f*cking scrape on the paint on the silver part of my screen

Dude, probably a manufacturing defects. Factories (even high-tech ones) are not magical places; they are staffed by humans and humans make mistakes sometimes
Your device was probably accidentally scratched by an employee at the factory...

Just get a replacement that's all. Obviously a factory error.

Vibrant vs a Car door

I thought I would share with you the sad results of my Vibrant after it got in a fight with a car door.
Luckily I still have my G1.

Why do people think screen protectors will protect against breakage? SPs protect against scratches - not shattering.
Yea no screen protector can help that Lol!

Maybe. However, I have heard too many people claim SP will broke against breakage...
Yeah most people think, "if it falls from a 5 story building, screen first it'll be okay since I have a screen protector".
Luckily, I have a case, and a screen protector. I know if that happened to me, I would still be screwed. I also have the T-Mobile insurance ;D.
Make sure u throw ur vibrant at the car door and make a dent so the vibrant can have the last word and get his revenge

The car door exploded at impact with the Vibrant.
I don't always complain, but when I do, I #BlameWes
What's the verdict? Does vibrant has Gorilla Glass or not?
Joking aside, sorry about your phone. I hope you have the Tmobile insurance.
Awesome destruction
You should hot glue it to plaque' and then stain it. Then you could sell it on Ebay as art.
ouch.

We need to believe that SP makes our phones super safe because that's the only way we can justify buying them
**facepalm**
Of course it was a joke...duh
I'm still wondering how it happened.
I mean for the phone to be on the door opening at the right time.
in most cars the phone will either fall outside on inside the car.
It must have performed an awesome balancing act to be broken right down the middle.
what i bet happened is that he raged and slammed it against the edge of a table or countertop.
Accidental damage warranty exchange?

Something is stock in the bezel...

Hi,..guys,.
I was just wiping my phone with microfiber cloth and to my sharp eyes...just above the power button...I stumble upon an object that is stuck between the bezel or the bezel it self has a flaw?. it measures about 0.5cm straight vertical line. I tried to take it out with a paper ...it's the only object that is thinner to pass thru the side of the bezel...but the object wont budge. or maybe it was the plastic bezel it self. Can I return this phone? And get a replacement?
Pretty sure that Google wouldn't replace the phone as its physical damage and it isn't necessarily defective by any means. Just get a case and cover it.

I think it's a manufacturer's flaw....that object wound't be there so deep...at first place. or maybe it's the plastic bezel it self. Well I payed for a phone that doesn't come with a flaw right? So that's my justification.

I don't know what it is or how it got there. You're best thing to do is to ask them to see what they would do for you. You didn't notice it until just recently it could of due to user fault. The bezel affects absolutely nothing on the phone and is a cosmetic problem.
Like again, just contact them and see what they can do. No body here can say otherwise

Not only does that phone need to go back, you should also start an online petition and force Andy Rubin himself to answer for why a 0.5cm line could possibly make it through Quality Control.. Google fails us again

Haha reminds me of the strict quality controls of the iphone 5. There was an article stating they have to be perfect when the casing is made and when assembled it needs to be flawless. Now that's what you call quality control.

Can't blame them. They had to meet supply for its demand. At least on a good note they have a really nice rma. You get to keep your phone while they send your replacement in with a temporary charge. When they receive the original device they take the charge off.
Edit: that guy is using sarcasm or he is just a really bad troll. Andy rubin is the main guy for android os

Every device or product made will have some sort of manufacturing defect. Nothings perfect. What matters is how the company responds to it. Like I said, they have a good rma service and they should be able to take care of your problem
Production for Nexus 4 is done in South Korea not China. They don't use child labor there or overwork them on ridiculous hours.

Temporary charge so they assure you that you send your device back otherwise you'd be charged with two of them. You'll get your money back.
I don't understand why you make such a big deal about it and then you're worried about a TEMPORARY charge? It's there so you don't keep two N4s.
For units that have been damaged after delivery, you may be charged an additional restocking fee of either 25% or 50% of the original purchase price based on the severity of damage. If we receive a return which has been damaged beyond repair, we may return the item to you without issuing a refund.

Dropped my Xperia Z :(

I've just knocked my XZ off my sofa whilst on charge and it hit a tile from my fire place! Checked the phone thoroughly and was just about to go get a beer to celebrate when I noticed a small little crack on the side under the volume button :'(
Its not really noticeable tbh but I know it's there! I might get three to exchange it now and say somethings wrong with it as it will bug me like hell!
Dam this is first time I have been clumsy with a phone!

I take mine out at home. Solely to keep it clean outside I put it in a case, not to mention protection. Also, if you have it in a case it's harder for potential thieves to spot expensive phones from worthless ones. A big thin slab looks expensive.

1. I tend to keep myself out of mud and dirty places.
2. I don't live in an area with a lot of crime or poor people.
But we are having a stupid discussion here. Some people like to have some extra protection and some people don't. It's easy as that.

[Q] I'm a jerk, and broke my new camera!

Seriously just bummed myself out pretty hard with this one. #1 reason for getting an S4 was the potential of the 13 megapixel camera. The one I just broke!
S4 in my pocket, leaned against something just right I guess, and BOOM! Not really a boom more of a sad sad whimper when I first saw my cracked lens.
I've searched this already, and there is hardly even a mention of this happening on google.
Hoping that someone has good news for me, or hopefully some helpful suggestions!
Ghost Glass on the front, Machined aluminium bumper, and not a thing to protect that stupid little piece of glass (why glass?) over the camera.:crying:

I finally received my camera from China... Quite an interesting trip it must have been for this little thing. About to replace the broken one, wish me luck.
the case is sweet.. I really like that it protects the outside of the phone as that is usually the part to hit the ground first on a drop. I also really like the Ghost glass that I've put on the screen. It feels just like the naked screen and doesn't inhibit the feel of the phone at all. The only thing that seems to not be protected by this setup is the camera... However at $28 a pop, I could think of worse things to happen. I'll be sure to do a quick write up when I'm finished in a few minutes.
Damn this phone is easy to fix. Took me five minutes total to fix.

Does the paint on the S7 Edge chip?

I have yet to receive an s7 edge but i was wondering before i do.
Does the paint around the home button, the camera and the hrs and o2 sensor chip easily?
Previous experiences thought me that the paints around those areas chip off rather easily.
Sorry for my bad english
It's covered with glass allover so no, it will not chip.
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
From what i can see from close up pictures, the painted parts around the camera is not covered by glass.
I might be wrong because ive never even held it in my hands but it looks the same as the chromed part that chips off on the s6 series
Ah, you mean the bezel around the camera and home button. I can't comment on that unfortunately as I've only had the phone a week.

If nobody is having issues after using it for around a month i guess the outcome might end up well for us end users.
