AN Apple fansite nonetheless.
Hope this turns out to be true. Ceramic chassis sounds really really nice and very industrial. Maybe they're going for the iPhone 4 look?
I hope they aren't trying to make it look like an iAnything. You think they would stay away from that especially in light of all Apple suing them for everything. Plus I'd love a unique awesome look!

if they were going for an iphone 4 look, they would make it look like broken glass.

Love exynos, but is this Samsung's first-generation of LTE?
I believe Samsung will be using a sister chip for the LTE, until they can perfect their own integrated solution.
They never did have their own solution - for radios they're using Infineon (now Intel) chips. The GS2 is XMM6260 or something like that, the next gen (not out yet, has LTE) is XMM7060.
Ceramic chassis? No thanks, I actually like plastic. It doesn't break or shatter and is extremely light. Also, I don't see a removable battery or external sd being done with that type of chassis.

Cermamic is incredibly strong and rigid in certain applications. It's used in racing components, as heat shield coatings, reinforments. It's even popular with thw aerospace industry. Very durable...If the S3 goes with a ceramic chasis, I'm sold.

It will be first generation LTE with the Exynos CPU. Skyrocket is LTE with SnapDragon S3 CPU.

This. Coming from an iPhone 4 makes me appreciate the plastic backing of our phones. Won't chip from the slightest drop like my iPhone did.
Well, I'm leery of 1st-Gen LTE chips. I will not be an early adopter with the sgs3... Especially since Sammy will launch the sgs3+ two weeks later with the "super LTE" chips :-(
More rumors stating the GS3 will be the first phone to run a true 1080p screen beating out even Apple with their Retina screen. Not that you can really tell a difference on such a small device that at most would be used 3 feet away from your face.

+1 here my buddy's Iphone 4 fell off his lap and chipped his back glass.

As with others I would rather have plastic, Carbon Fiber would be neat though
Specs are not credible so no need to wish over them
First gen LTE on Exynos is what will make me pass... HSPA is more than fast enough for me and I see many bugs with it (LTE)

This is true but i don't think these things get dropped much . Which even if it could withstand it, I just don't like the fact that most likely with the type of enclosure, it won't have a removable battery cover. Furthermore with the design behaviors currently leaning towards as few buttons and ports as possible, for that clean look, there most likely won't be and external sd card.
Although I'm just griping, I love Samsung phones, and I will most likely still get it if the temptation somehow pries me from my wonderful sgs2
I am concerned with this case I ordered because there is no speaker slot cut out of the back.

The case seems solid besides the no speaker slot. What do you guys think?

Good idea but how? And why should you really have to? IMHO this is by far the best case for defense on the N4 it looks cool too but idk I feel like I shouldn't have to mod it for it to be efficient.

They updated the product description and removed the negative review --
We noticed the feedback left by someone about the picture for this listing. Please note that the picture has been updated to accurately reflects our case design. The case is designed to be a perfect fit for Google LG Nexus 4 with all the cutouts matching perfectly with Nexus 4. Check out the overwhelming positive reviews we have received for our same design Galaxy S3 case, ASIN B005ZG04Q4! It is hard to go wrong with this one! Specially at this killer price!!

So there you have it folks - speaker cut-out and all. I got this case design for my dad's Nokia 710 and it looks very sturdy, hopefully same story here. Not unboxing my N4 until my case arrives. Shame that Incipio isn't making cases for this phone (yet). I'm fantastically happy with my Incipio case for my GNex (and GS2).
So it looks like I'm getting a galaxy s4 soon. What are some of the issues that people are having with their phones that i should look for when i get my phone. I'm talking about hardware issues such as the colors on the screen, overheating etc.
I got a black S4 where the screen was just pure yellow, not even light yellow in a white background. But if tilted even 45 degrees you could see the actual color. So look into that

for style, the best one all around so far is probably the spigen neo hybrid.
for drop protection and moderate style, otterbox commuter beats all the competition.
Don't let the horror stories scare you. This is a great piece of hardware.

I agree, I've owned them all... 2 Commuters for the S3, and for the S4 2 Neo Hybrids, and Ultra Thin Air, and a Slim Armor... oh, and 4 or 5 screen protectors...
Just got my brand spanking new white Z1c!
A dock (DK32) was included in the box, along with usb cable, charger, headset, manuals, and a limited edition case. No screen protector.
Price was awesome, ~$500, but I guess that's why the packaging is so... non-premium. I'm sure they could have done better without adding to the cost.
Probably also explains why the headset is so frickin' cheap, I thought Sony always bundle with quality buds. Maybe it's because all the Sony products I bought in the past were Walkman branded? Ex. SE W880i, W980, K700i (not Walkman but still came with great buds), CD player D-EJ2000...
The dock looks great, but actually docking in the phone will take practice, it's not entirely fool-proof. Without the phone, it fails to stay in desired position since the usb cable tugs at it a certain way. Included was an adapter to accommodate z1c + case, but I have not tried this configuration yet. Probably won't ever, thing is too sexy to cover up in a case!
The panel on my unit is JDI. :good: Aww yeah!
Compared with a friend who owns a Z1 (sharp panel), difference was amazing. I was surprised the poor performing panel on the Z1 was sourced from Sharp, I always assumed they made only quality stuff - at least all Sharp phones were top of class. Guess the components arm had to cut corners to compete with Korean and Chinese/Taiwanese manufacturers... shame really.

if you care about audio quality, you'll already own decent headphones/iems and have absolutely zero use for any included iems which would stay wrapped up and un-used and be a waste of sony's dosh. much rather sony spent the money they will save by not bundling cheapo iems on a phones build quality etc

I got a screen protector applied the minute I bought it, so I don't think my results will be representative on the actual performance - the extra layers of film will definitely diffuse the light in unpredictable ways. That being said, I took a few sample shots with the flash on, does appear to be brighter on the bottom side (area near the LED).
Not an issue for me though, flash distorts color, I avoid using at all costs.

You can find the answer to that question in the original post.
I seriously have no idea how you can buy it and shipped to the US though, sorry my friend.
I'd bet it's not worth the hassle - I once bought a phone off expansys, had to work my way through customs paperwork, duties, taxes, fees, more forms, declarations... was f'king hell. All thanks to the fact that it's a regulated device (radios) and has batteries.
I just got my Verizon LTE G Pad 8.3, and got it set up. I did the light bleed test, and if I drop my brightness below 20% there is light bleed at the bottom of the tablet, but it's acceptable to me. The questions I have are with the accessories I bought for it. First off are the front camera, and the light sensor in a different place then on the wifi G Pad 8.3? I bought a pack of screen protectors from Amazon and the front camera and light sensor do not line up with the cutouts. . Also I bought one of the IVSO cases and I notice that it doesn't really lock in tight in the upper left hand corner into the case. The bottom snaps in tight, but the top corner pops out with just the smallest amount of pressure is that usual for this case?
Conrgratulations..

I went back and checked the amazon reviews, since I bought the acessories. I am not the only one with this issue. It appears the Lte version has the same height and width, but a different depth. Also placement of the front camera and light sensor is different from the wifi version. So heads up to those wanting to buy cases and screen protectors.

Verizon's website says the G Pad 8.3 is 0.35 inches thick. While LG's website says it's 0.33 inches thick. Assuming someone's specs aren't incorrect (which happens a lot), it seems to confirm the Verizon model is thicker for some reason.

Pretty simple. The wifi and LTE versions are confirmed to be slightly different sizes so the wifi cases may not fit. See the prior posts.

I have an AT&T SIM with an unlimited HSPA+ data plan that my work pays for and I'm wondering if it will work in the Verizon G Pad. I know it won't get LTE speeds because of the plan its on. In a Verizon iPad 3 I can get HSPA+ speeds of about 6 Mbps. It gets around the same speed in my Nexus 7 3G tablet.
