hey guys just a few days back my samsung galaxy y GT-S5360 has stopped vibrating complelete... i've kept the settings as "Always" for vibration under the sound but it doesnt vibrate when i get a text message or even a phone call.... can someone help me out here? :crying:

back up ur data 1st.. go to android recovery and wipe data and cahe den restore ur data.... this may solve ur problem....:fingers-crossed:

install a new rom.
don't forget to do a backup before install a new rom.
if still nt vibrating then it's your hardware problem

Try to flash Repencis 3.5 this rom got vibration on back/option buttons-if that not work solution is Samsung service

Then copy ur sd to pc,erase everithing nd start all over with partitioning,Odin,update.zip(root),costume rom (any),....
Or,go to service if ur problem remain,

If it vibrates den gud....
yeah something inside the phone is damaged ..
Mine's not working as well
Since I turned off haptic feedback.
Try dialing *#0*# and click on vibrate if its working then your phone is fine

And If you're already at the service center, don't be dumb, don't say that you installed a custom ROM, root or whatsoever, just say, one time when I opened my phone, It got stopped vibrating.

To check if the vibrator's motor is out of order:
Dial the following
*#0842#
To access the Vibra Motor Test Mode
You shall get the following menu:
=Vibration Test=
[1]motor ON
[2]motor always IN
[3]motor OFF
Tap on 1 or 2 to check it the phone vibrates. If it is not the case better contact your Customer service.
Works on most Samsung mobiles (touch-screen).

try restarting phone
then enabling/disabling vibration
Having the same problem on my mom's Galaxy Y too… Before that when shutting down the phone it still can vibrate but now totally can't vibrate at all already. Help please. :crying:

If its not mentioned before, Please Erase/Restore to Factory Defaults in Recovery Menu. This really sorts out a lots of problems. I forgot to mention this before
PS: This is to be done after flashin the Amon_Ra rom or any other custom rom

i just installed cynogen 7 nightly on my rooted s2 through rom manager premium it did not work it was struck on boot screen then i played with some mount/unmount settings in recovery mode it worked fine then but md memory is nt being picked up help plz

I recently installed CM7 (nightly) on my rooted Samsung Galaxy S2, using ROM Manager Premium. It didn't quite work as I expected and became stuck at the boot screen. I then played with some mount and unmount settings in recovery mode and it worked fine after that, but now my SD memory card is not being recognised. I'd appreciate it if anyone could offer me some advice.

I have no idea what the problem is, but whenever I need help from fellow members of the xda community, no-one is ever available!

Try rebooting the phone with no SD card, then turn it off, put it back in, and turn it back on again.
If that doesn't help then you really need to carefully examine the mount/unmount options in recovery mode, as that's what has caused the problem.
Screw you that is really a good advice moron I fixed it anyways as always by my self when you will get into a problem you can't fix then go to samsung and sell yourself

All i can get from the above post is that the op's problem is fixed,and for the remaining part of the post,I have read it 10 times,yet did not get it.
Just to say, once I start reading a post and I see "text speak" I stop straight away and carry on with something else. Something about "text speak" makes me think the person posting is dim and would be very hard to help. Nothing against the OP just my bigotry.

I recently had flash my phone with samsung galaxy y not pro duos GT-B5512 firmware and now my cell is stuck in white screen and i can switch it on and can understand that its on coz i can hear login/boot sound but i cannot see anything.
and my volume keys too are change and im using from keyboard
the problem is i dont know how to flash it back since i cannot see boot menu
and the worst problem is my pc does not recognise my device any more a and i cannot get the wright port for flashing
CCould anyone be generous to kindly suggest me what should i try and do with it

The main thing I need to know is whether the phone is turning on or not?. If u can see anything on ur screen(even a blank one) then it means its booting

If u dont figure out a way to open any of the modes then unfortunately you will have to give your phone for repairing. Or maybe make a usb jig..

SOLVED
Woooohoooooo Flashed it and now its working after many tries Damn i love XDA-developers
and this is what i did i first change the port but not working then i took out the cable and plug it back and saw that the port was change to default and i was surprise and then i hit start
and Wooooooo it started with any problem

Flash back to stock ROM using ODIN, that should solve your issue.

Whenever i connect Samsumg galaxy Y to my PC.
My Device manager cannot open.
It crashes automatically every time.
What should i do?

If you mean kies having problem.. then uninstall and download latest version and install that..
If you mean settings in phone.. then go to cwm.. make a backup..
Do wipe data/cache.. if it didn't work.. restore your backup..
And please be specific on what you are asking.. otherwise we have to do guess work on what you are asking. And won't be able to help..

it work very good and i can use all the app .. but suddenly when i use an app like Facebook app it restart suddenly ... maybe i have fix it by use task killer ... i will see if it work
