6/27/12: Unofficial nightlies are discontinued: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27955579#post27955579
This is a centralized thread to discuss any issues pertaining to my unofficial nightly cm9 builds. As Dalingrin stated, he doesn't plan to release many more Alphas for now unless there's a major change to test so this will be the best way to get the latest CM9 additions (other than building yourself!).
You should only need to wipe caches coming from a previous cm9 build. Remember, these are not tested builds, simply latest source, so there's a chance of "broken" builds as new features are merged in. Always keep a recent backup and/or be willing to do a full wipe. If you're coming from CM7 you should wipe /data if installing in CWM or use ACMEinstaller2 - see the original CM9 Alpha thread.
These builds are mostly a straight sync from source each night, no other extra modifications have been made (other than fixes to ensure is builds). You can find the latest merges into CM9 here: http://tinyw.in/cm9tpmerged (thanks jcsullins for the custom search). The build is sync'd at approx 4am EST and will be ready to download at approx 4.15am EST.
Downloads
There are multiple ways to get the nightlies:
1) Simply browse and find the latest build directly on our host: http://techerrata.co...angs/tenderloin
2) For live announcement of a new nightly arriving on the server follow our Tenderloin twitter account: https://twitter.com/...!/cm_tenderloin - PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN AUTOMATED TWEET BOT NOT A LIVE PERSON (i.e. do not tweet @CM_Tenderloin expecting a reply)
3) *NEW* The nightlies also support OTA update notifications using the Goo Manager app, details here: http://tinyw.in/feSQ
Latest gapps are here:http://goo-inside.me/gapps
LCD Density fixes: These were taken from dalingrin's Alpha2 thread and are just updated with a new build.prop.
Change to 120dpi: http://tinyw.in/Ja5P
Revert to 160dpi: http://tinyw.in/VUht

3/27/12: TouchPad now has official nightlies! See my post here about the future of my builds: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24120253&postcount=219
3/11/12: Due to some merges on 3/9 you may need to reflash gapps when going from a nightly prior to 3/9 to later than 3/9.
2/28/12: HW video decoding (HD youtube and netfix) are now incorporated (still unmerged in mainline CM code). Thanks dalingrin and jcsullins for getting this together. This means the nightlies currently include everything in Alpha2 and whatever else merged since.
Credit and Thanks
Of course major thanks to Dalingrin, jcsullins, fattire, green and the rest of the CM touchpad team for making these builds possible. Thanks to my fellow winners in TeamWin and a special shout out to kevank for hosting and onicrom for build support
Nice to see you here eyeballer!
Thanks eyeballer and teamwin for all your hard work on the touchpad.
So this is all upstream stuff correct? Won't fix anything from 0.6 as related to hardware? Doesn't include the touchscreen drivers from the rootzwiki thread either?

Just straight CM source, until the updated touchscreen driver is merged you'll need to reflash that after updating the nightly.

Dees_Troy's touchscreen driver fixes will be included from now, I cherry-picked them into the builds. Also from tonight's build reboot should work thanks to a patch from jcsullins.
hmm, I've done two nightly updates so far without any issues for a couple of days. The latest (0219) causes sods. will keep an eye on it. so far I've had 5 sods whenever screen goes to sleep or I put to sleep.
edit1: ok, after a little more than 5 sods it seems to have settled. guess there were some kernel changes that needed to "work in" first.
I updated to nightlies 0219 and lost my calendar data and calendar sync settings.
I had to reinstall gapps + gapps fix to get it working again.
Is this normal?

no, that is not normal. Typically this happens when gaps are mixed and there is a conflict. possible that one of the apps was corrupted? wild guess.

Any idea on how to fix it? I just flashed the second nightly update and had to put gapps and the gapps fix on it afterward.
This is using gapps 4.0.3 v11.

Are you clearing cache and dalvic cache before flashing the nightly? You don't need to clear data/factory reset.

unfortunately my experience with the same problem was when I used a wrong gapps. It hosed my calendar and email sync. I was able to recover the email sync, but never the calendar (it wouldn't even sync the google cal, let alone my hotmail cal). No matter what I did with the existing rom, no dice in fixing it using the correct gapps or fixes. I then decided to start from scratch, which really isn't that bad. I wiped data to factory and installed a fresh rom, gapps_ics_4.0.3_v11 and all sync problems vanished. I recovered a few apps with Titanium backup.
Backup valuable apps via titanium backup, reboot into cwm, make a backup of your current rom (just in case you decide to go back), wipe cache, dalvik and wipe data to factory, reboot into cwm and install a fresh nightly rom, then gapps_ics_4.0.3_v11. once back in CM you can recover your apps via titanium backup. Just don't recover any google apps or system apps.
cheers
Usually when tapping the notification area, you see your wifi router name and your battery icon and percent. On the nightly currently out, the percentage is broken as it isn't showing. Only the icon is showing

Hi,
Today I flashed the 11/29 nightly over the 11/28 one in multirom.
I wipe cache and dalvik and flashed the ROM but when I booted up I noticed that I lost all the gapps and my titanium backup so I had to reflash them.
What's the proper way to do it without losing everything ?
BTW thanks omni team the ROM is going great, now it's fully functional on both my nexus 4 and nexus 7 2013

What the heck is multirom??????
PA Gapps was broken from November 10 or so until November 26. Use PA Gapps from November 7 or earlier, or November 26 and later. Anything in between won't back up correctly and will disappear when you reflash omni.
Also, what you describe is most definitely not "everything". Oversensationalizing your subject line is going to greatly demotivate people from helping you. Just because Fox News does stupid **** like that doesn't mean that you should.

No, I don't. Omni has no such feature, CM never had such a feature, which leads me to believe you're using some hacked-up kang that falls squarely into the "severely modified and hence unsupported" category.
Yes, but your subject line claims you lost "everything" - which you then contradicted in your post content. Just because Fox News oversensationalizes their news headlines doesn't mean you should.

Backuptool support for SuperSU used to be limited to SuperSU Pro unless you installed your own backuptool script (see my
Put together using PA GApps's structure and updated files from different ROMs, together with factory images.. The install script will show the it'll install pa_gapps-full-4.4-20131126-signed.zip, but, in reality, it will install the new files compatible with 4.4.x The backup script works, but I highly recommend installing GApps at each ROM update, since, sometimes, it just doesn't work very well. I always flash GApps when updating, and I never have issues this way.
You can either wait for the OP of PA GApps to update the package, or use this.
I am not responsible for any damage to the device. Do a backup before, just in case! A boot loop is the worst case scenario that can happen. Didn't happen on my end, and I hope it won't happen to you guys, either.
Enjoy!
UPDATE 12-Dec-2013
Pack updated with 4.4.2 files.
NOT compatible with ART (didn't test, though - might as well work, since the base structure and files from PA's GApps and BaNkS' GApps are ART-compatible; in case you want to test out, do a nandroid first!)
PhotoSphere installs only on hammerhead, manta, mako, razor; no Google Dialer
Link #1
PhotoSphere and GDialer for all devices (Might cause errors, two dialers & two cameras, beware! It's a forced method, by including both the dialer and camera in /system/app and /system/priv-app)
Link #1
GApps mini modular package
Link #1
Credits go to BaNkS for letting me use files from his GApps.
Credits go to hanschke for testing out.
Credits go to TKruzze for the structure of GApps.

I don't think it's true... I had no problems running the PA GAPPS on CM 11 nightlies, including a working photosphere camera.
Different kernels on CM 11 are trickier, because of the CAF issues you mentioned, but as far as I know the GAPPS work just fine.

Woks fine with omniRom 4.4.1 release nightly (homemade), here.
I'm impatient and pagapps 11/26 was NOT playing well with others causing force closes, rail especially with ART.
I wiped system, cache and dalvik (kept data), flashed omni v2 of yr apps (i have m7ul) and supersu, flashed omni and it stopped my apps fc's (yay!) only thing is it gave me a second camera and gallery (i thought gallery is gone on 4.4.1) but I just fixed my nova homescreen and so far so good.
I'll report any issues should arise. Thank you, for the quick fix, it.can.make testing a pain, and also for understanding that flashaholism is a real-life disease (thats not a noob asking for an ETA, it's his addiction talking ):silly:

I don't think that the devs of DU like links to their roms being posted on XDA as they have moved their threads to Devs Base. Head on over to their G+ page at https://plus.google.com/communities/109738128866939227235 where you will find the link you are looking for. Both Official and Weekly builds can be flashed over each other with no issues, however, if you stray onto the RC builds, they cannot be flashed over either the Official or Weekly builds, and vice versa.

maybe your DU download is messed up? checked md5?
usually i install the bootloader using adb and afterwards vendor + rom + gapps using twrp

I apologize in advance for the n00b question, but what does it mean to "update the vendor"?

What Stan said. Extract the vendor and bootloader from the latest factory google image and flash the vendor via TWRP as an image. I use Rom Toolbox to extract the image. The bootloader needs flashed via adb. You can update the vendor adb as well.
Thanks for your help, but it didn't work for me. After further investigation it seems the latest 'Official' build keeps giving me ZIP verification errors in TWRP even after redownloading the image. Flashed the latest bootloader and vendor as suggested (using Fastboot - couldn't find a way to do it with ADB) and then tried with the latest RC instead, which didn't fail in ZIP verification. Unfortunately I still get the animated unicorn boot logo forever... *sigh*
For anyone interested, I just found the solution getting help on Google+, which was this:
1. Install DU
2. Install GAPPS
3. Install boot.img from Noobbuilds
4. Reboot
Root is lost but that's easily fixed if needed. It works and runs really smooth.
how does it compare to noobbuilds?

I can't answer that as I only ripped boot.img from the Noobbuilds package. But compared to stock and LineageOS (both 7.1.1), DU is significantly more smooth and responsive.

DU 7.1.1 is the fastest ROM I've ever used on my Nexus 9. The stock kernel is superb. The only reason I use Fire-Ice kernel is because 2 amp charging doesn't work on the stock kernel unfortunately.

The code name for Nexus 9 is 'Flounder' (and Volantis). I'm unsure if the ROM on their page will work on the LTE version though.
