Hi,
I have a TF300T with dock, but I can't find where I change the keyboard language (english to french)
Thanks

If you're using ASUS's on-screen keyboard, go to Settings > Language & Input > go to settings under ASUS Keyboard > Input languages and change the layout there.
I'm good with the onscreen keyboard but I am speaking about physical keyboard which came with my tf300t. How do can I change the language of this?

The physical keyboard's layout should be the same as the one you have selected for the on-screen one.
I set my onscreen keyboard to canadian french, but my physical keyboard is in english (I can't do accentuated letters). I have green letters on my keyboard, but I don't know how to use it.

Android Market is your friend. I think swiftkey has the type of keyboard you're looking for.

Obviously we already have this great dock (Well most of us), but what I have yet to find is a great soft keyboard to use when I want my tablet to be, well, a tablet.
I have tried the various Swype keyboards (Swype, TouchPal, SlideIT), also some regular keyboards (Stock android, smart, hacker), but sadly I have yet to find a keyboard that works well.
I don't really like the idea of a two hand keyboard, since usually when I am typing without my dock, I am holding the tablet in one hand and typing with the other. On the other hand the Swype keyboards work, but not very well. On my Galaxy Nexus I have gotten it to work really well, but, the Transformer in landscape is just too much real estate to use Swype effectively.
So post something about your favorite keyboard, what you use, and why you use it. I am really interested to hear what you guys (And gals) have come up with.
swiftkey works well for me
Funny you mention that as that is what I am trying right now. So far so good!

Thumb Keyboard all the way!

Thumb keyboard for me too.
For now sticking with thumb keyboard. Allows for great speed and accuracy while still allowing me to use my tablet as a tablet.

I use stock on day to day and MultiLing Keyboard when using a different language. It is the easiest one I used for switching frequently between languages.
Try TSwipe pro in the play store, its free to download and supports many different languages and supports swipe and most of the features of hackers keyboard.
Hope you enjoy it

That's what I use on my phone and only tried it shortly on my tablet. May have to try it again...

Forgot to mention that the keyboard allows you to switch languages through the keyboard with a touch of a button or swipe of a finger. It is the keyboard that I currently use and I too have tried all of those others and this is simply the best.
Try it I am sure it will solve your problems too.

Using swift key 3 beta. It's the best I've seen yet. It really eliminates the space bar.
i love TouchPal.. . went to it from Swype. Swype was boring and white. TouchPal at least had a few skins abs i Lee dark themes. .. easier on battery

Thumb keyboard works great for me with switching languages. The spacebar key has the current language and if you swipe the spacebar you can switch the language. Plus with its split design it is the balls in landscape mode.

I was typing on the Samsung virtual keyboard and I noticed that the y and the z are flipped around. I switched to the android one and it was fine. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this and if it can be fixed.
Nope. They are OK on mine...

This simply sounds like your Samsung keyboard has a different layout. You should be able to change that in the settings (e.g. by changing the input language).
On the German keyboard layout z and y are switched (and it has the German Umlaute ÄÖÜ ) . I'm changing the keyboard layout depending on the language I'm writing.

I am using the basic English version. The only letters that are messed up are the z and y.
What are your language settings set to?

Samsung Keyboard
Does anyone have a fix for the Samsung keyboard lettering? Some characters are flipped like q is the a and , is the m. Samsung tech support claims the for each Tablet either wifi or data there is a different keyboard model.
You only need to set the input language to the region your keyboard came from, eg set it to german on a german quertz keyboard.
I am actually use QWERTY more than Dvorak but I just want to practice using Dvorak.
the soft keyboard can be changed using hacker's keyboard or Swiftkey but I can't sure how I can change the hardware keyboard layout(except buying a new one).
There are so many language options given with the default Asus' keyboard and CM9 keyboard but which one should I select?
BTW, can I just remove the android keyboard and Asus' keyboard if I use the dock? I'm currently using megatron v1.1.6.
Thank you very much.

I really wouldn't remove all soft keyboards, in case of nuclear apocalypse (your dock stops working ) you'd need it. As far as changing to dvorak the key mappings will be in your /system/ folder editable with a test editor, you'd have to find one someone's done or do it yourself, or perhaps an app exists.
I will keep using the software keyboards but I have so many in my systems. I I just wonder if it is safe to remove the Asus 'one. To thanks

You can remove it, just be sure to have at least one working one xD

I'm using SwiftKey Flow.
You can flow couple of words at the same time, which is awesome, and you can enter ?/! very fast!
Samsung keyboard. Only one with swipe, handwriting and number row. AFAIK.
For me the Samsung continues input is a very superior option. Even with fast and sometimes inaccurate swiping it manages to get it just right most of the time. One of the best keyboards I've used. It's just so fast and accurate.

hacker's keyboard for me the best!!
Samsung keyboard memorize your frequently used sentence even. You enter the first word and it will keep predicted the entire sentence. Love the default one with continues input

The default keyboard is the best IMHO. Every other keyboard, irrespective of its benefits, leaves out the benefits of Note 2: lacking in s-pen support etc.
The only irritation with the default keyboard is that there is no autocorrect. I have to manually choose the correct word from the list and it doesn't autopick the selected words when space is pressed.
For me samsung the best.
Anyone find a way to enable Swift Key or Swype tablet modes? One of the best options on the default keyboard is that it has one-handed control. Swype and swift key have this mode as well but only for tablets. I miss easily swyping symbols. Perhaps the only way is to root and change the DPI?

I am now using the Kii Keyboard and loving it. Very fast and accurate typing with lots of options to customize.
I prefer stock JB 4.2 Keyboard. I canys stand stock overcrowded/cluttered keyboards.

I prefer gn2 default stock keyboard.. I write a lot in Serbian, and i can use swype then.. When im writing on english i use handwriting or prediction.
The numbers above keyboard are Major ability why i choose stock keyboard

I have been using SwiftKey since it first came out. Would try others but always came back to SwiftKey. For typing or swype, I just am not getting comfortable with the stock keyboard but would hate to lose the s-pen button. I will be a very happy camper if SwiftKey adds support for the s-pen.

SwiftKey 3 for me, since I type both English and German text, and the keyboard recognizes (and makes suggestions for) both languages at the same time.
Been using SwiftKey 3 tablet version for a while now.
Have to say it's the best I've ever used.
And it works very nicely with my 240 dpi mode.
Also nice keyboard when in landscape mode
I alternate keyboards randomly!

Swype is the reason for me to stick with Android, but their latest beta is ****ed up with dictionary issues, so I tried latest SwiftKey Flow Beta, and it has some issues as well, so for now it's Samsung's default keyboard with continuous input. But I'm keenly waiting for the next beta of Swype, which is coming shortly as per their mod.
