Hi All,
I tried to find a topic for this but couldnt. if you have seen this thing being discussed before, please just guide me there.
Ok, here's the thing:
I have a samsung Galaxy S I9000. I want to flash a Pure, Unmodified, untouched, plain gingerbread onto it. i dont want any of the samsung applications, modifications or anything by samsung. the same concept that a Motorola Xoom is using. no additional modification to whatever google gave out.
1. It it possible?
2. If so, which ROM will do the trick?
Many thanks in Advance

Closest what you can get is CM7 I guess? (am using it too) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061946
Or there was something about SUPERAOSP rom >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1119075&highlight=SUPERAOSP which I dont know
Yep, CM7 is closest to stock-Android, so you should choose this ROM.

Thanks, ill try CM7.
basically i want the simplest ROM with the minimum preloaded functions. i will install whatever i want myself.
Why don't you install a stock gb of any kind, get titanium from market, then manually uninstall whatever you don't like, ect Sams bloat wares
EDB v1 Talon 0.2.2 oc1.2ghz BAT ThunderBolt

I guess because it wont be AOSP (kinda not even close)? Also cuz samsung does not just install bloatware(amongst other stuffs), but also unistalls/disables some functionality?
Just me guessing there
Touchwiz is 'hidden' deeper in system too. And the CM7-crew wants to get rid of this and just use stock-Android and CM7-features. In ny opininon it's the best ROM of all.

Installing a non-stock OS such as this means you must install apps for operating the Camera, Video, Email, and even for accessing the external SD card, correct?
New Android market available for 2.2 and later.
Description from engadget:
If you're on Android 2.2 or above get ready for an update to your Android Market experience. Google has just informed us that a new version of the app is incoming, a version that will add tabs for easy access to Google Books and Movies. Starting with the more visual purchases, at $1.99 you'll be able to start watching movies almost instantly, and apparently see whether Chevy Chase will ever take his family on a successful vacation. But, if offline access is key, you'll also be able to download the misadventures of the Griswold family for later viewing. Books is now integrated too, saving you the hassle of having to launch the books app, which required you to then open the browser to actually buy any digital tomes. Overall the new design looks cleaner, finger-friendlier, and the addition of Editor's Choice apps should make it easier than ever to get to the good stuff. The update will be rolling out gradually over the next several weeks and, once you've been admitted to the club, you'll be able to download the Videos app as well.
Check out the video preview .
This give the hint How ice-cream sandwich UI will look like. Forget WP7, here comes the boss.

For god sack do a nandroid back up in cse you make a mistake an break your market!

Yes, it's really awsome! Just a little lagg when pressing the back-button in the Market... It also shows apps I got installed, but I haven't paid for LOL. Unfortunately you can't update them, well you can but you've to pay then for them hahaha.
Have it installed also on MIUI Froyo 1.7.3. Nice thing.
Rename vending.apk to ...bak (rootExplorer), copy new-vending.apk to system/app, rename it to vending.apk, set permissions to xx-,x--,x-- and install it, ignore the error message, reboot manually. Thats it!
@my_immortal What is the difference?

The only thing that's slower is when pressing the backbutton LOL.
App is slow cause it is not optimised for our phones or due to custom rom.
Update has not reached all devices yet.
When you get gingerbread then it will be by default.
Hope devs will work on it and make it smoother.

Ok, I've been asked to upload this. its an iphone style rom, i ported it from the htc hero. it works but it has major faults.
faults:
wifi not working.
no wake from deepsleep.
screen gets flickery.
As I have been asked to upload by a few members I have, I personaly don't have the time to fix as my partner has fallen ill and I must look after her. the time I do have is dedicated to MY-UI and the miui port. if a dev wishies to fix then please take this rm as your own. . . it is built on cm7 beta 3, so if you complete please give credit.
PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD FOR USE, DEV ONLY.
good luck and god bless.

P.S. no screen shots as rom lacks ability, I made this in a weekend so didn't have time.

Just looked content of the file. This is the usual CM, but with bugs. There is no need to flash this assembly, each can bring to your fullworking CM Iphone-look-a-like kind of setting several applications included in the this assembly, but also available as separate files.

The main idea is as follows:
1. Flash CM by Grief_07
2. Install Iphone Launcher
3. Install Iphone wallpaper
4. Install Iphone bla-bla-bla
And in the end you will get the same thing but without the glitches.

It wont be the same. The framework is the onlyway to get half the apps working. I dont know why you would think otherwise. Try it without and see. Some apps will, but not all. Plus the settings will not work. By all means prove me wrong, but you wont manage it. Music, gallery and such are reliant on framework.

Ok i installed this rom
looks really near to ios
really great looks
prob is screen flashes some time
compass,camera ,back light not works
as jusada said its only for devs
But i feel there is only major changes in framework rest same(may im wrong)
but if only major changes in framework then devs can port it to cm7 2.3.7 rather than solve prob of this rom as it may easy compare to solve lots bugs(its im feel not sure,it depend on jusada's answer that it work on cm7 2.3.7 by porting framework?)
its only opinion devs know better
though have to say great work its really awesome
really respect your work
any one want to see screen shots go here its same as in this post as i cant post sceenshots due to flashing screen

Hey guys, i love the CM7 keyboard, but i am currently using Darkside 2.5.1 and i would like to know how i can flash the keyboard from CM7 over, or how i can install it onto Darkside. Any assistance would be of great help!
try putting cm7 onto your phone again after backing up what you need using titanium backup and then backup the "android keyboard" files using cm7 and then stick the rom you want on and restore all the files using titanium backup
sorry its not very clear but im a retard at english
Just download the gingerbread keyboard from the market: here. CM7 is the AOSP keyboard for gingerbread.

Just tried that but it seems to be missing the option I wanted which is the seconds delay before the keys pop up. In the CM7 version there's an option to set the delay in milliseconds of the keys pop up =[

Hi all,
Is there a way do install the stock (on-screen) keyboard on a custom ROM? I'm thinking about flashing my device with the latest CM10 ROM, but I really like ASUS' own keyboard.
So, has anyone an idea how to extract the keyboard; already has it; ported it; or anything at all that might help?
Cheers
I would really like this too, bump.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda app-developers app
I'm just thinking out loud. If you were to root the tablet, couldn't you pull the ASUS keyboard apk from the tab, and then push it back after you've installed your custom ROM?
Or, I'm trying out Apps2Zip on my Galaxy S3 (gt-i9300) and perhaps you could use that to flash the keyboard back onto the tablet.
I'm not in the mood of flashing a custom ROM to the tablet and finding out that it wont work..
You need to be rooted get the apk some lib files and a few modules i believe

Same here! I'd like to have my ASUS Keyboard back. The common Android Keyboards are so f*cking ugly... also the Layout sucks azz. Can't find any similar on in the store. I'd even pay up to 2$ for it, if it's stable and nais!
