2.3.5 on Galaxy S

Can we get a leak of Android 2.3.5 for Galaxy S??

What's new in 2.3.5?

Very minor stuff, wouldn't count on it to be honest.

If the changes are that minor, I believe Samsung will prepare update. It's not like they have to rewrite and recompile whole system.

cm7 latest nighty is 2.3.5

But 2.3.5 it is not and Android release, just a mod.

Besides, CM7 is still not stable and some features are missing.
2.3.5 is only official for google phones - I.e. nexus S

Galaxy S firmware update to v2.3.5 is coming by the end of September i have confirmation from Samfirmware

google android sdk does not list 2.3.5, after 2.3.4 it's 3.0.

That means there are no changes in the SDK/API
Latest android build is 2.3.6!

I am reluctant to install this, until the kernels and roots are sorted out and bug fixed.

I tried to find a post about this but failed. there is an update oficially to 2.3.6. any info on this!

As I know, official rom is only 2.3.5 is newest.
If you want flash newer version, need flash cook rom.
MIUI and CM7 build are 2.3.7 now.

Yeah i noticed but i just did an OTA update (Official, Non Rooted Phone). Noticed better scrolling and once it reaches the end of the page, there will be a blue glow.

So are you saying that you have recieved an official over the air update that is 2.3.6?

as far as I know SGS2 only goes to 2.3.5, where are you based?

Hmm, I think, that is because You have a little bit different phone Mine (Europe) has the name of model GT-i9100, You have GT-i9100G but I don't know what's the difference

The model with G is using a different Chip. Not the exynos. TI OMAP i think....
They say that i cant play asphalt 6HD but i can download it thru the game hub and its a really nice game!

I already tried Asphalt 6 HD on my GT-i9001G. Works flawless without any issues

yeah i just noticed the new update.. OTA is just 49Mb while via kies its a staggering 250Mb

Any ideas of the differences between KL5 (Late December 2011) and LA1 (January 2012)?
The only difference I can see so far is that KL5 has the older lockscreen. Is the battery better in LA1 than in KL5?

Yeah LA1 has better battery life coz its clocked at 800mhz

I think that the release is updated first for India. can anyone confirm if the music player bug is rectified.

on samfirmware in ota files I9300XXBLH3 i have install it and is very smooth! also the toutchwiz is different you can not change the homescreen icons where phone, contacts, messanges, internet.
but very smooth!

Is it possible to flash ONLY the modem?
I´m now on Checkrom V5 (based on XXBLH1) with Siyah Kernel. And if this information is needed, I´m from Austria.

No you must flash the fw that was written at the fìrst post and direct root, and then direct install the zip file

ok.. i just flashed the ota over xxblh1 (nee).. samfirmware has the ota and there's a lot for different regions and they also indicated the needed base rom for each region..
you will lose root once you flash this so you will need to re-root the device again.. cfroot 6.4 works pretty well..
so far, i noticed that everything is scrolling smoothly.. especially in contacts and messaging.. i still see some redraws though.. but good update nonetheless..

Where does it say this is an OTA update for Australia ? I have been on XSA (australian non branded Rom) since new and havent received any OTA update since LF2.

it most probably won't work as it will wipe your entire phone and repartition it, better not try too
