Needing some help guys.
I've just tried to search for a UK app called Sky Go (I know it's not available on JB yet) and it didn't appear in the store, searched for Amazon UK app and that didn't either.
Bought the tablet from ebuyer.com, I think they're UK based, had it a matter of hours, so haven't rooted it.
Also noticed that even when I go to Google now and change the voice language to English(UK) she still speaks American, shouldn't it be an English male voice?

Me being a noob, because they've not compatible with my device...then they won't appear when I do a search.
Hopefully both will get it sorted soon, wanted to check out some cases for this awesome tablet.

For some reason, my tablet hasn't gotten the newest google play update yet. My samsung galaxy player has it. Is it just me? I am still running honeycomb.

You must have Android 3.2.1, the marketupdater is in that version

I know this doesn't have input to your question, but why have you not gone to ICS yet? Just curious...
Got the new market today.
And, yes, ICS is the way to go. Don't let the bootloader talk worry you. It is a fairly straightforward & well documented process. Your tablet will thank you for it.
I downloaded the apk yesterday. No big changes other than magazines

I got it today, I am excited to buy a couple of movies!
In Belgium we can't buy anything from the play store
Which part of Belgium are you living in?
Tax-paying North can do so without a problem. ....
Marcher
In Flanders, the only thing that we could buy from the play store are apps but no books or movies etc.
Well I finally got it, I don't know why it took so long....

Is there any reason why these are installed by default and can they be removed safely without any problems?
Thanks

I've removed them with Rom Toolbox. You need to be rooted.
I just disabled them all. Weird having them I know.

I removed all the East Asian keyboard apps with Link2SD. You need rooted device though to remove system apps.
Because it saves Google from maintaining localised versions of firmware. You have to remember that the Nexus 7 is a developer tablet with Jellybean. Android isn't just big with western countries, it has a rather big market share in China as well as Korea. Asus is a Taiwan company, so is HTC. Samsung is Korean.
Its not like the CJK keyboards take up much storage. iOS have those keyboards built in. Like I said on the other threads asking the same question, welcome to global capitalism, and stop being xenophobic.

Because the east market is big, I am using it in China.
If you're rooted, you can use titanium Backup to freeze or un install them.

Its just the one build for everywhere.
Don't know why they didn't freeze them like the wallet and magazine apps. Maybe it causes problems for people who would want it.

I want to download Google Gesture Search in the playstore, but it says it's incompatible with my N7.
In the changelog stands that it's updated and compatible with the N7.
There's a screenshot in the attachments.
Has anyone else got this problem?
Sorry for my bad English :s

Droid Life is posting the new google apps that came from a nexus 5 which is, as you know, running android 4.4 . I can confirm the new google launcher works after installing google search and google play. Im pretty sure most others should work fine on the X. Post if working or if not!:good:

So I have installed all of the leaked apps. The only one that did not work is the clock. I've cleared the data on the app but it didn't make a difference. In in the Verizon Moto X. Only other problem is email app is missing the exchange option for me.
Anyone else try these? Any workaround for the clock?
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 4
You need to be rooted and uninstall the clock app and reinstall the leaked apk from what I've read. Android police had a write up on it.

I'm rooted, followed the directions, still couldn't get it to work. No biggie...the clock isn't all that different.
Wish we had the dialer!
Can you install the new launcher without being rooted? Or is that required for all of these leaked apps? Looked like it just said side load them...
I had trouble sending mms with the new hangouts. I'm stock non rooted newest ota

I installed everything without root. An article I saw said to install the playstore, then search, then the launcher.

Yes, you can install new launcher without being rooted. No, you can not install that new clock without root.
Basically you can install everything but clock

wierd does the new email not do exchange?
dont install the new google now if you like your voice activation i get crashes all the time now
Thanks Derek ross for the solution
Long press the home screen, select Settings. Select Voice. Select Language to change the default. Change to another language, I choose English – UK. Hit Home. Do a Google Search. Repeat the first three steps. Change back to English – US.
also update your language pack in the settings as well.
Is the new dialer included in any of these yet?

ANyone in China know how to fix this?
Same in France, it looks like hotword is only available in english - us language, if you can handle with speaking to your phone in English, set voice input language to english us and it should work.
