When i use the MX Player on my nexus 7 and watch a video the bar at the bottom disapears and i get use of a full screen when watching films.
Now when i change the DPI settings on my Nexus 7 (to 160) and turn it into tablet mode and then watch a video the bar does not disapear, now is this because MX Player has not updated there software to work on Jelly bean on tablets? will this everwork like it does when the DPI isnt changed? Is there a player that works in full screen mode in tablet mode.
Any advise will be good as the Nexus 7 not in tablet mode is crap.
I don't have an answer unfortunately, as I'm looking for one too, but I'd just like to add that I'm having the same issue with the YouTube app. So it's not just MX Player.

It has to be that you are changing the DPI. I am running Pure AOKP Build 2 with baked in tablet UI. Using MX player and am not experiencing the bar not disappearing. Screen shot is from Hunger Games using MX with Stickmount.

So I tested the Ubuntu touch preview. And some of my songs were renamed when I reverted back to pa3. "203.mp3" and so on. Any way to fix this without renaming and did this happen to anyone else?

Songs' names should appear also in the mp3 tags... Given that ubuntu didn't change tags too, it should be as easy as using some desktop application which can manage mp3 with tags in batch... If you are using ubuntu desktop I can help you to find one

This should be in the Q&A.

What media scanner does everyone use? Since our phone doesn't scan like Samsung or Sony I think.. Instead of just rebooting.. :/

I'm not sure I know what you mean...for like having say a new album show up in music player or something?

Do you mean what programs we use to sync media content to and from our device to the computer?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
No.. I meant how sometimes pictures, music, ringtones don't show up unless you do a media scan or reboot the phone..

I don't use them but here are some from a search in the play store

I haven't encountered that problem with my N4 yet...figured it had something to do with not having external SD, since its the same way on my N7. My music sometimes doesn't import it straight away but after I download since I use player pro I use it s scan feature and just have it set to my swarm folder and it grabs the music and album art right away.

Hello all. I'm looking for your opinions on which music player is the best out there.
While I like the interface of the stock TW music player, there's one thing that bugs the crap out of me. If a band name starts with the word "The", the band falls in the T's. For example, The White Stripes are in the T's not the W's.
So what are your thoughts? I've tries Poweramp and it's decent. But I'm looking to try others.

The last two days I've been looking for good music player too.
I had been using n7player because I like the user interface of it. However since I added my external 64gb SD card I have not been able to add music to it from the card. I can play music off of the card using that player but it can't locate it automatically. It can locate music off the internal storage fine.
I tried Power amp and had the same problem. Winamp was able to identify the music fine.
Im assuming its a format issue as I'm using exFAT instead of fat32.
At this point I'll say Winamp but I like n7 player the best

I use tunewiki. Its easier to use and feels more stream lined imo plus it has lyrics which is nice
Of all the players I've tried I still prefer Neutron. Just seems to sound better. Subjectively, of course.
El Mono
MPlayer
I like the stock player on the Samsung Galaxy S4, but Winamp sounds just as good and the pro version comes with EQ. I would suggest just putting the first letter of the song before the word "the". So, instead of "The Black Crows" it would be "BThe Black Crows". This will fix the order of songs, but it does look awkward.
Player pro here. It also plays videos

Thanks for all the replies folks. So far, nothing has topped Poweramp, though PlayerPro is intriguing.
Have you tried Music Player for Pad/Phone?

Hey everyone, I have an issue with the latest version of Google Play Music. Music added after the major app update (the one after I/O) will have album covers with a yellow/greenish tint. I have tried clearing app data and rebooting, and the images look perfect on my computer and the phone gallery.
I added a few screenshots so you can have a look at what I mean. There's also a comparison between the same image in Play Music and the gallery. The difference can't be seen on my PC screen, but if you download the pics to the phone the difference is easily spottable.
Do any of you have this? To verify, you should add new music to the app, otherwise you'll see no difference.
Nope it's fine on mine....

Have you added new music since the I/O update? It's easier to see if the album art has a white background.

Hmmm, strange. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work either. I'm sure it's not a fault on my side though.
