Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE I905 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I have the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE i905 Tablet and would like to root it and also upgrade to ICS or JB. I am new here but so far all the searching I have done comes up with nothing for this model. Will other ROMs work on this device? Does anyone know how to root this device and/or upgrade to the new OS's? If you can help me please post a link or some info on what I can do. Please be as specific as possible. Thanks for any help out there.

If youre on contract paying for mobile data youre SOL. Until an official release of ICS is made by Verizon for the SCH-i905 there are no ROMs out that have the modem drivers required for this device. If you dont care about LTE then either the CM9 or CM10 releases by pershoot would work and can be found on droidbasement.

There are several builds for it - I've put some on before. There's even a JB build that looks incredible. But - unfortunately no one has been able to get a modem working. There is a post from early August where a guy had a dev OTA build pushed down to his tablet, but he won't help pershoot out with the files he needs to get it working. So - I echo the comment that until Verizon gets their act together, you'll have to wait.

Install India Firmware on Verizon tab

Hi,
i have bought a samsung tab 10" verizon 4G LTE from US.
can i install the P1000 firmware that is available in india on that without any issues.
Will that work ?
please advice
-Mamo
Do not attempt it.
Each version of Tab(7", 8ยท9", 10.1" )has different hardware.
If u flash incompatible ROM u may damage the mother board and u will be in a mess.
Find ur device specific forum and get compatible ROMS.

I have to second that. In fact, I'd take it a bit farther to say that the Verizon tab has LTE radios and if you tried to flash a stock rom or even a custom one that wasn't made specifically for the Verzion LTE tab, it won't work. You might not damage the system board, but you definitely won't be able to boot it, and chances are pretty good that you might even brick it. Unfortunately, there isn't much dev going on for the Verizon version, so you're stuck with the stock Verizon LTE rom for now. Sorry

[Q] Wait... What? Kitkat on V-Note3?

So taking a look around the net today, I came across an article that states that you can flash Kitkat onto N900 (Galaxy Note 3) using Odin... Does/Would this also include the Verizon version of the Note 3? I was under the belief that Verizon's bootloader didn't allow for KitKat installations because of some kernel compatibility issue or something keeping it from working... But would this allow for a Kitkat working install on (non-dev-edition) Ver-Note3? And if so, would this allow lay the groundwork for devs to be able to create install-able kitkat roms for said device? Any and all info/help on this would be greatly appreciated, as I'm sure there's a great deal of want for people with the Verizon Note 3 to be able to have KitKat, myself included!

This applies to the international version only sm-900 witch has a unlocked bootloader. I'm almost positive someone here tried it and bricked their phone.

Is i9301i device gets the Android 5.0 update from Samsung?

Is our i9301i device gets the Android 5.0 update from Samsung?
Sorry for my ****ing English ...
It is highly possible that we will get update to 5.0. I beleive we will get update since we have same soc as moto g that is officialli supported by google , it wont be hard to port it to our device. If samsung doesnt do that there is always CM 12

Thank you very much for the quick reply.
I have another question: Your cyanogenmod project for our device has Hebrew language? (That the i9300 has Hebrew).
They might update it, seeing as it's a new phone carrying the flagship name. It would seem pointless to release an "improved" model of the S3, only to abandon it 7 months later. Then again, this is Samsung we're talking about, so they might just release an S4 Neo with 5.0 instead.
Everything is possible!!!
Hope to get our cure for this devices. I think with official 5.0 L, the device will run more smoothly. Who knows - may be only Samsung. We must pray to get official announcement!
i dont think so bcz the reason behind 4.4.4 is neo was released after s3 so they give official update to s3 neo not to s3.
If samsung left this phone with out update for 5.0 this will be my last samsung phone.

I hope this isn't going to happen. I think to send email to sLamsung to doing something about their product.
I am disappointed.
I installed CM12 On my galaxy s3 neo I9301I and got i problem of no data connection and no wifi connection at all. I spent 48 hours in frustration. I had my nandroid backup but when i tried to back that up, i was stucked, all apps were stoped. Then i tried my level best to find the solution. Unfortunately, my mobile baseband is I9301IXXUANF2 and there is no proper single stock firmware for this baseband at all. Then i made my account here and ask for help to a member. He helped me to solve my problem but all in vain. After that i download a firmware of baseband I9301IXXUANH2 for region Pakistan. Luckily that is for 3 variants including mine. Now my problem is solved.
Please do some thing to improve CM12. I love it's UI and speed but due to those problems i am not able to enjoy that.
I am from Pakistan.
And hey guys is there any difference between baseband and build number? After flashing my mobile is showing baseband I9301IXXUANF2 and build number I9301IXXUANH2, is it fine??????

[Q] Custom ROM's for T337A model Tab 4 8" ?

Hello, I may be having trouble finding the info, but I am hoping to find a good, clean ROM for my AT&T Galaxy Tab 4 8 inch tablet (SM-T337A). I have rooted it, and the main reason I want a new ROM is to make sure I can unlock it when I dump AT&T for T-Mobile, so other options to do that would be appreciated, also. Thanks for any help!
I have a Galaxy Tab 4 from AT&T as well. As far as I can tell, the device has a locked bootloader, and there hasn't been a development effort to try to bypass it. So, in the meantime, we're unable to install custom ROMs. Thanks AT&T.

If you just want to use it on TMO, you can have it unlocked. I had mine unlocked (I had to use a third party unlock service because AT&T wouldn't do it for some reason). But, just so you know, it is not eligible for the free 200mb plan yet. I made a request to TMO to add this device to the list so I can sign up for it. If you want to go for paid plans, it works just fine.

[Q] SlimBean for i9505

Hi, I will probably be picking up an i9505 as a backup phone, and I'm actually really excited because it looks like I can put the final 4.3 build of SlimBean (build 2.2), which I ran on my S2 and it was honestly the most perfectly configurable rom I've ever run on a phone - as similar as a lot of the rom's that came out around that time were, that one had a couple options that I couldn't find on any others, and they made it exactly what I wanted. Anyway, so that I don't brick the phone the same day I get it, can someone confirm for me if the version listed as "jfltetmo" on the SlimRoms website is the corrrect one? This is the T-Mobile variant, but it's the only S4 listed there. The thread in the i9505 original development forum is closed, and the op lists it as being "jfltexx", but that doesn't exist on the SlimRoms site. It's baffling to try to figure out with so many different variants, so that's why I'm asking here, thanks to anyone that can help me!

Yes, jfltetmo is T-Mobile. jfltexx is the international version of the S4. The one that's neverlocked, so to say.

I guess my question is, are ROMs compatible between carrier-specific and unlocked variants?

Of course. It is the same phone after all. The only difference is the software. It also depends on the carrier. Some lock their bootloaders.
