[TW] The Greatest Rom - Galaxy S III General

The Galaxy S3 has many amazing ROMs. However, none are the same.
So in your opinion what is the greatest based off of fatcs.
Please state:
1. The ROM
2. The Kernel
3. The unique tweaks to your ROM
4. Theme(s) included in the ROM (really only need to state color(s)
5. Special features in your ROM
6. Battery life usually squeezed out of the ROM
Time phone on:
Screen time:
7. Anything you think puts your ROM on top.
Thank you for your opinion.

Judging by all the other threads like this that have been locked why would you think yours would be ok?

Well, what ROM is best is only subjective. A ROM that person A think is good might be a ROM that person B hates and so on.
I use stock and have done so since I bought the phone a few weeks ago. Haven't really bothered myself with flashing a custom firmware. The only thing I have flashed, though, is CF-root 6.4.

Waiting for the lock.

@ mods.....no comment....must.....resist.....the....urge!

I think the mods greatly appreciate it, especially reporting racist rants, warez and scammers, best anything threads provoke confrontation .....always....simple as....human nature....and adolescent testosterone!

Closed, no such thing as a "best" rom, "greatest" rom, or anything else, just flash them and find out for yourself.
On a side note, as a mod, I like it when people report stuff, seriously, we miss stuff if people don't report it! And we really appreciate it when people hit that report button! It helps keep the forum clean, it helps everyone.
Don't feel bad, reports are always kept in the strictest confidence, so unless you post saying you have reported, no one will know.

Dumb people (excuse the language but couldn't come up with a better name)

This is extremely random but have you ever went to the comments section for certain apps in the Android market and see someone complain about the app not having or being able to do something and you're like did you even LOOK in settings or read the faqs. Seriously I can't believe people can be this dumb and its annoying because they want to give said app a low score because of it.

in the comments in the market there is a little x button for each one. if you click it it closes the comment and gives you the option to report it to the market as spam. i know a lot of those comments aren't intended as spam but that may be effective.

Because... well, why the hell not?
But let's change the core idea a little. Instead of picking which rom you think is the best, just vote for which ever rom you are using right now. After all, if you don't like the rom you probably won't be using it.
And as for all those haters out there, I actually think this kind of poll is good for the developers. Companies hold polls all the times to compare competing products. It's a good way to see how well you are doing against your friends and rivals. Furthermore, a low popularity doesn't mean your ROM is bad. It might just be that you are relatively new to the scene, or perhaps your users simply don't venture to the dark corner of the universe called "General".
So vote on people! The results should be quite interesting.
P.S. Only roms listed in the [ROM LIST] thread are on this poll. So I apologise if your rom is missing from the poll. Go blame it on splish2010 instead
now this is what is called a competition

With ROM kitchen leading i guess most votes are coming from Froyo users.
For Gingerbread there's plenty of better options than (beta) kitchen right now...
This topic should be 2 separate votes: 2.2 and 2.3

Perhaps. But once ROM kitchen Gingerbread goes out of beta, most of the froyo users will probably upgrade to Gingerbread. So the results are still relevant.

It is only allowed for a "My first impressions" thread to suck only if Chuck Norris says so. And far from it, it's only allowed to open such threads now if only Mr Norris said so..Which means there would be none of those threads
this thread is utterly useless, while the first impression threads often feature information for noobs, sometimes even videos on the use of roms.
if everyone would open a new thread just to blab out their opinion on any given topic, this forum would become useless.

What is the point of this thread
CLOSED

Feedback to this forum.

I just wanted to unlock/root my SE Arc and install a nice ROM (I experimented a lot with my DHD about a year ago).
Finding a guide on this was not an easy task. This forum is so full of junk it is practically useless, unless you hang here everyday, and really make sure to catch up with all the stuff that all the "know hows" think is obvious.
After 4h I had just managed to unlock the bootloader and gain root access. Two failed attempts with different ROM's made me go back to stock ROM. I always thought I had a decent ability to understand technical stuff, but appearently not.
Heading over to Cyanogen's forum, and it took me about 5s to find "the one and only guide" to do it all. 5m later it was all done.
Definitely my last visit here.
Why? Oh, because it drowning in junk posted by "know hows".
True dat you should check out the play forum its even worse people don't know how to use the search so instead they create a stupid go nowhere thread. Its actually really pathetic.
Sent from my R800a using XDA App
Truth be told, I have the same experience as well. I tried various rom to no avail. Information is all over the place. Finally managed to use T.E.A.M. rom and decided to not try anymore.
But kudos to all the developers. They did put in lots of effort.

In general terms I have particially agree, but the namaste all in one guide is still in the stickies of this forum. basically what your are saying is you want everyone to do the work for you and you want them to be grateful to you for you using it.
I think xda is a really valuable source for our arcs, if it weren't for xda my arc would be unrooted with se ROM 2.3 and no g apps.
I think the point is just because you couldn't find it after 'hours' of searching just shows you didn't look very hard.
I just found the namaste guide in 15 seconds because its stocked to the top of this thread!

There is one simple yet very powerful tool you forgot to use.. SEARCH
The amount of people that don't search but ask the same question that has already been answered many times before,or post in the wrong section.
Don't forget we all come here freely and allot of people give of there time and energy freely to make mods, roms, theme, etc.
All anybody needs to do is read the stickies in any section as most if not all the answers are there.

While there are many misplaced threads in General that belong in Q&A,
and that's an increasing headache for us, the sticky threads are very well structured and if someone is willing to READ, he can make a good start.
What many people don't understand is that this is not what we do here:

What's that got to do with anything? If anything, that makes matters that much worse - if he's so tech-savvy, he should know about using the search function before opening ANY new threads.
well, after use "Search" I've found many threads w/o answer. So I just would like to know why, just ont one, simple answer.
I kind of agree with him, there is the need of a sticky thread that clearly states what and why cannot work, and what instead is needed, and why.

You should know better than that. Opening a new thread when one already exists on the same subject is a big no-no on XDA. Opening a new thread KNOWING one already exists just makes it worse.
Anyway, I'm sure there's a good reason a Galaxy R release doesn't help. The devs have no obligation to explain in great technical detail why this is not possible, if they say this won't work you should be able to trust their expertise and experience on that. If you need solid proof and reason, maybe you could try extracting the drivers and making them work on the Atrix yourself.

Like I said above... This is a hobbyist community, everybody here works for free in their spare time. Not necessarily because they are such good people but because they enjoy doing it. (Sharing what they've done is what makes them good people.) Nobody here has any obligations towards others, and IMO it's wrong to ask or demand such things. Be grateful for what you got.
