Can anyone give me tutorial for installing APPS2SD to that I can install my applications to sd card. I am a layman and this is my 1st post. Need help from everyone ass I have googled and could not find a simple way to do this.
Go to this link: forum.samdroid.net/wiki/showwiki/Recovery
Read the following:
"For enter to Recovery:"
"Partition sdcard"
Once you complete the steps showed there you should be good to go.
You mighty as well upgrade to the latest samdroid kitchen v2 over there. Just to ensure you have the latest version of app2sd for the spica.
apps2sd
it doesnt worl for me all apps getting in tthe internal memory . in samdroid tool no option comes once i click on apps2sd
Restart Phone after you enable it. Also it seams not to work with large cards.. For me working with 1,2,4 and not for 32...
Use any samdroid tool from samdroid forum.
Easy to use/install.
Sent from my GT-I5700 using XDA App
1)Make Ext2 Partition on Sd Card from recovery(how to go to recovery : Voldown+call+power) of ur choice of Data Size
2)Format the second Ext2 Partition(which means the above partition only which u have just made) from recovery
3)Reboot the phone and from Samdroid Tools option Enable App2sd and Dalvik Cache(optional,it will save some more space)
4)Reboot (do Reboot Twice just to make sure)
Enjoy
my suggestion 1st apply Kitchen V2 from here
http://forum.samdroid.net/f28/samdroidmod-kitchen-v-2-all-one-samsung-spica-i5700-en-1901/
then do the above mention stpes .let me know if any issues

2. after uninstalled..then uninstall the app2sd using the app2sd script.
3. use mini tool partition manager to create the ext3
4. use your ap22sd(ext3 app2sd) installation script

before to do backup ur partition, please make sure u have some unallocated spaces on your hard disk, external or some kind of memory type like usb.
1. click on ext3 partition that u want to backup,
2. click copy
3. choose the unallocated spaces to copy the partitions.
4. click next
5. move the slider, where the exact location on the unallocated spaces u want to put. leave this step if you dont know.
6. then finish.
7. on mini tools windows, click apply if you are done making changes.
hope helps, refer attachment for better understanding.. thanks
** do the same things back if u want to restore or copy back to your memory card
just have a look
the features are given in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957123
can you please answer the following :
1) how will i get the swap partition? i mean, will i have to first partition my SD card or will it partition itself or what? and will the data on my SD card be wiped?
2) can you please explain this point : "Partitions: System/Cache=ext2, Data=ext4, Efs=rfs"
3) what is Jit, Deodexed and Zipaligned?
Got nearly the same questions and was searching for a while ..
well,i will give some understandings to your three questions.
1. if you don't make a copy of your data ,you will lose it when your doing the swap partition .so it's neccesary to backup. for doing swap partition , you can just follow the steps given in the instructions for flashing.
2.after partitioning ,different partitions used for different ways have different formats.you can just let it go.
3.as for Deodexed and Zipaligned .you can look up in the internet .as far as i know,it's some kind of technology used about the key apps of the system and the other less important apps.
hope i can help.

Hi guuys I'm a newbie and this is my first post in xda-developers.
I havve a problem, a mounth ago, I do sd card partition and i give 2GB from the SDcard to the phone but my phone lagggs. so i decide to remove it, but how can i get back my 2GB ?
Thanks .
if you are talking about a 2nd ext partition for use with link2sd you can create it in cwm recovery
note your sd card will be formatted so back up first
or use mini tool on a pc to repartition your sd card - you want the main storage area to be fat32 and then create a 2nd ext partition - its easier in cwm though - less chance of selecting wrong thing
no i used amarullz script

LAVA IRIS 504Q has only 1 GB for data and mostly this gets filled up when we load several games and applications. The Internal storage has 1.6 GB mostly we dont use and as we have got External SD Card support a few hundred MBs of Internal storage is enough.
I have found this solution and want to share this with you. I did this and have got 2.x GB of data now.
I did all these steps using MIUI V4.7.11 and tested with this ROM only and I trust for any ROM this should work but not tested with other ROMs. Note this.
MERE ROM users may find this as jackpot!!!
I am using MIUI 4.7.11 ROM and I found this app very useful
Download this MIUI V4.7.11 ROM and copy to External SD Card [I used this ROM for flashing and my SD card is set right!!! so recommending this ROM , no further intentions ;o)]
Follow the steps carefully step by step but it is quite easy:
Disclaimer: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE
Step 0: DO NOT PROCEED W/O having this done.
Take CWM backup of your current ROM
Step 1: Install this APP attached
Step 2: Provide SU Permission
Step 3: Open the APP
Step 4: Select 2.0 / 2.5 GB [ONLY - DO NOT SELECT 2.77, your Internal SDCARD will become around 14MB and you may have to restart the process again, I had a hell time having selected this 2.77 option] as DATA Partition [Button - press this button] - You will do this in the APP
Step 5: Reboot to Recovery [Button - press this button] - You will do this in the APP
Step 6: Do Data Wipe [Factory Reset] / Cache
Step 7: Format System Partition
Step 8: Clear Dalvik Cache
Note: the CWM may report an error saying the .android_secure is corrupt, Please ignore this message, All is well
Step 9: Now, Install MIUI V4.7.11 ROM from External SD Card
Step 10: Reboot
PROFIT!!!
See that your Data partition is larger now to hold more and more apps and your Internal SD Card is 300 MB+ for apps like Camera etc..
Notes:
1. When I tried doing this, I just restored the DATA Partition and my device did not even proceeded after the LOGO and hence I have decided to flash the whole rom again
2. I tried restore the entire backup, the ROM booted but the SD card showed corrupt and since I amusing MIUI ROM, the MIUI has asked me whether this SD card should be fixed during the initial boot and I got set this right
3. I TRIED FLASHING THE ROM, THE INTERNAL SD CARD IS AUTOMAGICALLY GOT SET RIGHT AND AFTER THE BOOT I DID NOT SEE ANY SD CARD ERRORS AND ALL IS WELL FOR ME !!!!
Nice share [emoji106]
Works like a charm
Everything working fine... loving the extra app storage.. works fine with mere rom.. thanks a lot:laugh:
It works !!!!!
Thank you so much man,:good::good::good::good::good::good::good: I was trying to swap the internal memory but it seemed to be too complicated for me!!! and I just saw your simple tutorial!! WOW, thanks a lot!. Btw, your other post regarding the swapping of internal to external memory works fine too?
can someone please confirm if this process works on stock ROM? i don't want to use custom ROM but want to increase my internal memory by using meteos.
No offense to OP
but its already posted .
and it works on any rom- stock rom too.- only if ur rooted.
I personally tested it on our Iris 504q and 6 other mtk phones. (6589, 6589T)
And no need to format internal sd card and u can restore ur cwm backup without any issues.
Oh God I cant get past the LOGO screen~ please help?
i followed your steps but when i rebooted it got stuck in the logo screen, now it wont get past that! please help me ?!?!?!?
please anyone reply asap?!
---------- Post added at 04:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:02 PM ----------
