Anyone who thought that the Note might not be too popular amongst consumers, think again .
Samsung has managed to ship 1 Million Galaxy Notes worldwide. This is when its not even available in the US yet. According to an article, Samsung plans to bring the Note to the US with AT&T next year.

Interesting! Nice to hear it sold so well...
I'm surprised of it's delay to USA though, I'm sure plenty of people out there are eagerley awaiting it's release!
They will have to purchase one from ebay/abroad or simply wait...
Can anyone get the sales for the dell streak after 3months released. Alot of people thought there wasnt a market for this type of phone. Compared to Sgs2 this is a really good start.
Will increase once it hits the US.

I do not have the sales figures of the Dell Streak but I can say it's nothing compared to the Samsung Note.
Reason being Dell did NOT advertise the product, Samsung did!
Dell did not advertised the Streak at all! There were just a few enthusiasts who bought this device...
People, they haven't sold 1 million devices, they've shipped 1 million (read the topic )
But i guess they'll reach the million mark soon enough

Good, good. Sammy did expend a lot of money on advertisement. They have dozens of twits, youtube videos and TV commercials. Make me feel a little less special, but, we do need more support for making games work with our little toy.
I would consider it popular if it shipped at the same rate as the S2, but its a niche device. Good to see it at least ship ( but not sell ) 1M units already.
Talking about the regional sales, Samsung stated that Galaxy Note had strong sales in France and Germany and has a steady rise in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

I don't know if you noticed, but they said that the GNote was doing well in France and Germany... could that possibly be because the majority bought our Gnotes from Amazon.de and Expansys who shipped the Notes from these countries before they were released in our native countries?
I know that's where I bought mine!!! Been a Gnote owner for nearly two months and loving it more and more every day!
I always 'new' the Note would be a huge success because it replaces a phone and a tablet for most people. Well done Samsung for producing such a versatile quality device.

Since there is a big demand ,shipping is almost same as sold.
Hey everyone I have been monitoring the price of the Samsung Galaxy S II i9100 daily from late November 2011 and its amazing that this phone has climbed from basically $499.99 to now over $600 on ebay and $559 and $569.
I think the increase in price which is due to its overwhelming demand is a testament to how great the product is but sadly it really prevents me from going in on the experience because I cant afford it right now.
The price trends do leave me wondering how much further the price can go though.
Any thoughts?
Meh nothing compared to ehat happened to the Leo (my fave phone i ever had). Prices in the states are different and ebay isnt a good price guide, I see this for £600 when released now you can get it from carphone whorehouse for about £400 on pre pay

Ok I see your point im not in the US actually but I mostly buy electronics from the US. Can you point me to site or person that sells the i9100 for a good price outside the USA?
As I said id love to join the android party with a i9100 asap but the price is prohibitive for me. I have been using a N95 8gb for 4 years now so im in need of a change.
To be honest, I'm tired of S2, I wanna really something fresh like S3...

Hasn't the Thailand floods last year have something to do with this? One of the largest manufacturers of semiconductors used in mobile devices is located there (I think it's Hana Electronics). And I've seen the same trend in other electronic markets. I've been trying to purchase a Canon 60D slr and stores are having a hard time getting them.
The Thailand floods could have something to do with it but im seeing declines in other similar models.
The prices for most of android devices climbed up a bit after release of latest iphone, I see that that release was mostly disappointment for everyone, there's nothing in it that can beat sgs2 or some other android tops. That's why prices gone up. Android has more potential for future.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Maybe this is specific to different countries because on say eBay in Ireland and the UK ive noticed a slight drop in the price, nothing major but you can pick up a SGSII for €370 if you search and if you get lucky on fleabay you may even get it cheaper.

This is also true, despite the release of the Galaxy Nexus it still doesn't beat this phone, no micro SD card facility was a shocking emission, the Galaxy Note whilst a serious piece of kit is just far too big for most people for a phone, the size of this phone is perfect even slightly bigger but it the Galaxy S3 was as big as the Note i wouldn't buy it but i don't think it will be.
got it right on. There is not a single android phone that runs as smoothly as the sgs2-especially out of the box. I have been due for an upgrade for a while and just dont want to use it just yet. As far as the Nexus, had it for a day and promptly gave it back. I dont care what anyone says, its laggy as hell if you're coming from the exynos sgs2.
I bought my i9100 for 529.99 @ ebay unlocked tho
I use it without any problem, I'm from Ecuador.
In Ireland you can pick one up for under 350€.I got mine brand new for 340 and unlocked it myself , saved myself 300 euro by not going to a shop.

Bought mine for $3900 HKD a few months ago, dropped to $3800 or even more right now.
$3900 HKD = $502USD
$1USD = $7.8HKD
Good 'nuf because I sold my iPhone 4 for $3200HKD and added $700HKD for the SGS2.
I9100 model has very high demand which Samsung cannot meet, hence they are replacing it with slightly different I9100G model. Due to this the proce of I9100 has increased. Atleast thats the case here in India. You no longer spot I9100 here, only I9100G.
i bought mine for 400€ in an online shop from the netherlands in december, i also recently noticed the price rose to 440€ already in a month!

Yes thats true. even here in malaysia. about rm100 more. U need to know the guy in order to get it and if u do, it'll be an open box.
I still went ahead with the "G" and never looked back on this decision.
Prices are actually going down here.
Even in local shops, the S2 goes for 435,-€ at the moment, stock, sealed, unlocked.
You bought a SG2 Glalaxy and you have a Series G. ..
98% of ROM tutorials for customization then you are forbidden!
I would like to know your place of purchase, the store if possible and the country of purchase.
I think it would be useful to know the trend: whether the 9100 is still selling if the 9100G or definitely replace.
if the 9100G takes over then we could find hope that more Dev are turning to the ugly duckling
my S2G white come from "ThePhoneHouse". Bought 15 Mars 2012
In France Samsung has replace the I9100 but it counterpart the I9100G...That for the Unlock of Course.
As for the carriers, you still can find an original I9100 but lock with 12 or 24 months contract

SamMobile is not accurate. They've got wrong country names for some firmwares.
Samsung ****ed the consumers big time here in India by selling I9100G in I9100 boxes. This is clearly making a fool out of the consumer. I do not hold anything against 9100G. It is equal in everything however it does not have developer support which is very sad.
I9100g is available in India..I ordered i9100 but they delivered i9100g..I bought it for months back..fought with customer care for four months and finally got the replacement two weeks back.. I checked with them and they said that only very few pieces of i9100 are available in India...

I had a i9100G till recently actually had to do many mods myself, even made a custom rom for it but i guess the frustation of very few people working on this was too much. Got it replaced with i9100

it would be great news if it's confirmed!
and even better if Samsung exchanged G against free all classics! but ... we dream
but again I had a classic black and my white G only suffers from a problem: the lack of interest from dev. as far as hardware only benchmaks may find slight differences
I got my I9100 from Tesco, UK. 12 month contract, £20/month, 5k texts, 500 mins, 500 mb.

I was literally needing i9100 just for the amount of support we get from developers all over world...more over this is internationally available model..when I got the g version it was available only in Asian countries and it lacked developer support big time compared to now..but now two weeks with international version tried five different ROM...Ics is not officially released in India but from the day I got this I am in ICS!!!

The Samsung Galaxy S III has arrived in Dubai a week earlier than expected and is already on sale for $666.
This has been confirmed by a vigilant Reddit user who noticed an "Available Today" sign under the S III name in a mall store in Dubai. Speaking to an employee he gathered that the store has plenty of Galaxy S III units in stock and all being white variants (no word on which internal storage version it was but we're guessing 16GB).
Other users have also found the phone available (and purchased it) but for around $680. We guess a hefty bunch of people who pre-ordered the Galaxy S III will be less than impressed right about now.
One of the visitors of such a store sent us the pic you see on the left. Unfortunately, the store has already ran out of stock when he got there, but reportedly, more units are on the way, due in the next few days. He confirms the phone was priced at 2500 AED or about US$680.
And hey if you're still on the fence about getting an S III, you might find this useful.

My box says: Made in Vietnam by Samsung.
I have owned Samsung Galaxy S2, Note 1, Note 2, older Note 10.1 tablet and they all were made in Korea. This is first one made in Vietnam.
I bought two Note 10.1 2014 Black 32 GB and both of my boxes say Made in Vietnam by Samsung.
It was made in Vietnam. That still takes some getting used to here in the US, seeing made in Vietnam, not that I'm against it (I'd rather have it made in the US, but what can ya do), it's just weird to see it. I was 4 in 1975 when the war ended.

Haven`t got my new 2014 edition yet , but had bought 2 from the 2012 edition , 1st one made in Korea & the 2nd was made in Vitenam & build quality was horrible with the Vietnamese one, Korean Build was much more firm & solid.
Mine was made in Nam.
It's a dark day.
i thought the Vietnam Factory was dedicated to the market of middle east / africa
while S Korea Factory directed towards Europe and North America, thats why we try here in middle east to get the Version from Europe or USA with older model of 10.1
need more people to confirm that from USA, or what Retailers selling which version

Vietnam here. Vietnam is the new low-cost labor source of Asia so its not that surprising. Its probably just assembly the same way components are made in china and then assembled in places like Taiwan or Hong Kong. Still wish it was made in Korea. At any rate its mostly irrelevant. Everything is done by machines.

Nothing wrong with Made in Vietnam. They have good labor laws that protect factory workers from work abuse. Big quality brands such as Kipling, Northface, etc.. have factories in Vietnam.

Well, they also have a staunchly communist government, that doesn't allow dissent or protest,so they may have good labor laws, but the people have little to no freedom to speak out.
Made in Vietnam. Supporting the Dong.
I hope Made in South Korea isn't becoming extinct like Made in Japan/USA/etc. Previous Samsung mobile devices have been Made in South Korea and the quality has been proven. I'm open minded towards made in other places but the quality is unknown. For example, my new Made in China Note 3 has multi-touch issue which wasn't an issue with Made in South Korea Note 2.

For Samsung phones it's usually printed on the phone underneath the battery. For tablet, you have to go by what's printed on the sticker affixed to box.
IIRC Some of the things that were done so cheaply in China have moved to VietNam, as laber rates in China go up. Perhaps that has something to do with it.
My Best Buy purchased white 16GB model was also made in Vietnam. I, too, was surprised to see this. I prefer Made in Korea as well.
