After liaising with the mods we have decided that the best form will be to have one thread for everything OTA related for 4.1.1 leaks and one for ODIN releases.
This is the thread for OTAs and Nandroid releases of that OTA
If you have a new OTA leak you post it in this thread, you can PM me or Veyka (the mod) so that we can make sure the OP is updated.
All instructions, links, fixes etc will be here in one place, all other threads will be locked if started and sanctions may be imposed at the discretion of the Mods.

This thread is for ZIP ota files, if you wish to post nandroid repacks of them, this is also the right place, contact lenny or me to have a link added to the OP. Odin files will stay in there current thread.
This way we have a one stop shop for all things OTA.
A reminder: You must provide direct download links that font require registration (this mainly related to sammobile files)
Thanks finally now i don't have to keep switching to other ones just to see bugs and stuff when we can all just post them here instead of having to look at 4 or 5 threads individually.
I have a question. I have a German Vodafone - VD2. Can I just flash these over it or do I need a VD2 version?
Will these OTA's flash in CWM or do I need the stock recovery?
Anyone xperiencing TW fc`s on this LI2 OTA?

If you are on the correct base rom you can use either Stock recovery or CWM, having CWM makes the whole process easier, see post 1 for a guide.

this is what you should do:
Odin + recovery method
1) Flash LG8 rom in ODIN
2) Flash CF-root <--- included CWM recovery
3) Flash LH1 Modem in recovery (CWM)
4) without rebooting flash the OTA in recovery (CWM)
5) Use ODIN to flash cf-root again

this is what i do..
follow the instruction and you will be okay

will flashing this tonight... :good:
any random freezing like on LI1 build?
you can instal these OTA's without CF-root, so the counter don't increase
you flash this firmware with odin http://www.hotfile.com/dl/164621029/...8_BTU.zip.html
than you flash this modem with odin http://samsung-updates.com/modem/Sam...XLH1_Modem.zip
and than you can instal the OTA with the stock revovery

I reckon 2 or 3 more leaks and JB is ready for release..
But I haven't explored app level though
great work, you basically took my and victorator thread (closed them and left other/older leaks open) and created a new thread. bravo!
anyway, here are mirrors to radio and victorator nandroid.

It wasn't my decision to close them, I just helped come up with a solution going forward, it was clear having everything in one thread was never going to work, but we needed a way to keep all OTA related things in just one thread.
Problem was leaks were being posted by lots of different people meaning there was not one central location to keep ONE thread updated, this should now fix that, it was not about taking a spotlight off anyone else it is about keeping the forum tidy!
I will move your mirrors to post 2

Can't restore to stock

Hi. I have done something stupid. First i installed omega rom v10 (XXUBMH1)
I did not like it and went back to my original rom (I9505XXUBMGA Nordic countries)
What happened after going back was that the phone offered me two updates. I accepted because it was official updates.
The updates took me to I9505XXUDMH8. And i discovered this was because the CSC had change to BTU (united kingdom), probably the Omega rom did that. The I9505XXUDMH8 rom has some nasty Samsung protection in it, but i managed to root it and change back CSC to NEE, but when i now try to flash I9505XXUBMGA again it just fails... am i stuck on a UK rom??
Well, for the moment, Samsung protections on the last MH8 firmware prevent you from flashing an older firmware version (MGA for example).
As you changed the CSC to NEE, it's not so much an UK ROM now, is it ?

Will i get the NEE updates when they release newer firmwares?
Once rooted and flashed, you can't get official OTA updates.
For older versions, there was a way to restore the official status of the device (triangle away), but it doesn't work (yet) for latest MH8 firmware, still due to Samsung new protections.

[Q] What to expect after an OTA installation on a rooted GT-I9505

Hi All,
I have used CF-Auto-Root when I first got my phone about 3 months ago and rooted successfully and it changed my device status from Official to custom and therefore I was never able to check for OTA or install them.
I have also tried CF's Triangle Away at that time but it never set the status back to Official until last night when I installed the latest TA version 3.05 and this had worked it's magic and my phone status is now back to Official and I found an available OTA and downloaded it but I have not installed it yet. Why? Because I am almost sure I will lose root after installing the OTA update and I am not sure if I am able to re-root it again as I have heard and read that Samsung is trying to lock things down to make it harder for us to play around with our phones.
I My current build number is JDQ39.I9505XXUAMDE so if I am not mistaken, that means I am on firmware XXUAMDE.
The phone does not tell me any info after it completed the OTA download about this upfate apart "Stability Improvement"
My questions are:
1. How can I tell if this new firmware is not going to lock things down?
2. Would I be able to easily re-root after completing the firmware update?
I just plugged in my phone to my computer and Samsung Kies is telling me this:
Current firmware version : PDA:MDE / PHONE:MD8 / CSC:MD8 (VAU)
Latest firmware version : PDA:MG4 / PHONE:MG1 / CSC:MG1 (VAU)
and asking me if I want to upgrade.
Can someone help me answer my questions and clear this for me?
Sorry for all these questions but I am just a little worried this update will be a bad move and I don't want to regret it.
Thanking you in advance for putting up with me and my apologies if some of these questions are repeated or dumb.
AFAIK, MG4/MG1 is not sooo new, and it's still not afected by the 'knox' bootloader thing.
I upgraded to MGA (AMN) some 3 weeks ago, using KIES, temporarylly lost root, but flashet CF Auto Root again, and .... voila! good to go again.
.... oh yes, I had to install supersu again from play store (somehow it was rooted, but the application was not there).
Hope that can help you!
Bak
Thanks Bak for the info.
I was doing some more googling and I came across these 2 pages:
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/4...ial-android422-xxuamde-jellybean-firmware.htm
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/4...roid422-xxuamdn-jellybean-official-update.htm
There is something wrong here as my phone is I9505 and it came with the amde unlike what is suggesting that official firmware for I9505 is amdn.
I got my phone from Voda Australia hence the VAU.
If I am reading this correctly:
Current firmware version : PDA:MDE / PHONE:MD8 / CSC:MD8 (VAU)
Latest firmware version : PDA:MG4 / PHONE:MG1 / CSC:MG1 (VAU)
Then after the OTA update then I should be on XXUAMG4 ? I really don't get this whole PDA / PHONE / CSC variables.
I am just tempted to install it and thinking if anything goes wrong or not to my liking then I can use the link I provided above to flash my phone with the official xxaumdn and this does not have the "knox" bootloader thing?
good decision mate! dont flash to the latest MH8 firmware cuz it locks out your fone.
sadly i've flashed mine without reading around. little did in know, MH8 includes knox with locked my phone.
right now i'm having root problems. tried using CF 1.60 the latest one.. which they said can bypass the knoxx thing. we'll i'm still having problems getting root access.. IDK why.
just wait and see. a dev might come up with some work around this KNOX bootloader thing

Just checked with www.samfirmware.com
If you select the 'check your firmware', you'll see that the last version for i9505 and Australia VAU (vodaphone) is PDA:MG4 / PHONE:MG1 / CSC:MG1
So your carrier (vodaphone) hasn't released the MHx version yet (versions MHx hsve the knox thing)
PDA / PHONE / CSC are different pieces of the software/firmware, and may have different releases (you can even play with different ones, for instance, a diferent PHONE to be able to sim unlock, etc....)
If I was you, I'd let KIES do the update (it's the safest, together with the OTA), and re-root it.
Good luck
Bak
Thanks Bak. I upgraded over the weekend and re-rooted it and all is back to normal now.
I even got Triangleaway to reset counter and back to official status.
Thanks for all your info.

[MODEM][Boot Loader][ODIN] Samsung Galaxy S7 (flat) SM-G930[F|FD|W8] (080518)

The files made available here are extracted from the official Samsung Firmware made available from SamMobile website, it will save you from downloading in access of 2GB of data with average download speed of 15KB.
Mainly it will be firmware specified for the EU market, as I am located here and will be using these firmwares, if you want your specific region included, I would appreciate if you would make sure to make the files available as they become updated for your region, since I don't intend to waste time on something I am not going to be using.
Since I intend not to delete any of the files, it is also essentially a resource with all the different Modem and Boot Loader versions released.
User Guide:
Extract latest version of Odin to your computer.
Install Samsung Mobile Phone Drivers for Odin to find your device.
Boot your phone into download mode, by pressing [Volume down] + [Home] + [Power]
- Once you reach the Download mode warning screen, press [Volume Up] to continue.
Open Odin
[1]Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
[2]Place the desired BL file in the [BL] slot.
[3]Place the desired CP file in the [CP] slot.
[4] Go to the Options section and make sure Auto Reboot, Re-Partition and F. reset time are unmarked.
[5]Push [Start]
Once odin reports "Success..." message in the Message box, boot your phone into download mode once again and repeat step 1 - 5 once more.
Some have complained that you shouldn't flash BL and CP without flashing appropriate CSC file, how ever I have never had any issues with only flashing BL and CP.
File versioning:
Some of you might be unaware of how the Samsung versioning of the Boot Loader and Modem is layed out, I will try to give an accurate description of what is what in the versioning.
The filename displays the version as G930FXXU1APDU, the layout of the versioning is as follows:
G930F - Identity of the phone supported
XXU1A - Identity of location [XX] - European location - Unbranded supplier branded
[*]P - Year of version (here 2016)
[*]D - Month of version (here 4.th [April])
[*]U - Compilation number, goes from 1 - 9 and A - Z

I keep getting "SECURE CHECK FAIL: (BOOTLOADER) and SECURE CHECK FAIL: (RADIO) when i install the modem and bootloader
I have already installed them once, but i went back to my stock rom a few days ago...
So i wiped everything before installing stock rom
What bootloader/radio, I flashed APEQ yesterday several times (4 times to be exact) without any issues.
I'm on Superman ROM 1.7 tho, so don't know the behaviour on stock.

Thanks for making this available, can I ask a really dumb question or two.
I have a rooted G930FD, on a G930FXXU1APD1 rom modified with Xposed and XTouchwiz.
Can I update the BL without having to go back to scratch, in other words will updating the BL make me lose my Root?
No you don't lose root when just updating bl/cp.
Just remember to flash both, since it is custom to flash them combined.

Thanks!
But still no new modem :/
Thats up to Samsung, if there is no change in modem, why update it?
How ever I would like to see the two follow eachother if not for firmware changes then just for the consistancy in what version goes with what.

Question for clarification from anyone that has already done it. Flashing latest cp and bl to stock apc8 rom will be OK for phone in signal or phone ui fc or SD card saving photos problems that had appeared by updating some firmwares? Thanks in advance

I flashed APG5 and APGC exactly as described in OP, odin returns SUCCESS. But when I check in either system infos or with code *#1234# it still shows AP as APG3.
Does this change for you guys?
But if you flashed only cp and bl as OP says AP should be the same. Everything is OK? Odin success? Only bl and cp you flashed?

[Help] New to the Custom Roms world

Hi all
I’m very new to the custom roms world (I’ve just got an S4 I9505 see specs below) and i would gladly appreciate your advices. Feel free to share any advice.
I am starring at the Kitkat Google Play Edition JFLTE-GPE by Danvdh (last update 28/01/2018).
Could you advice me 3 very battery friendly roms ?
Maybe Official Lineage OS 14.1 (nightly 7.1.2) as you told me stylemessiah ; JDCteam Optimized Lineage OS 13 (stable 6.0.1) ; ... ? I read also about MIUI.
Many thanks for your help.
ps: I’m French (sorry for my bad english) using the “Free Mobile” Carrier which needs XEF CSC (i mean i prefer english language rather than french, but i need to use the “Free Mobile” Carrier).
Thanks to PhoneInfo :

I’m on windows 7 using the latest 1.5.51.0 samsung drivers, Odin v3.13.1, TWRP jfltexx 3.1.1-0
Edit 2: Thank you stylemessiah for your feedback. So for the Bootloader and Modem, i'm already ready to go. Nice
-According to zetcamp (thank you) I don't need to upgrade or downgrade my current I9505XXUHPK2 Bootloader and I9505XXUHPK2 baseband for this rom.
Which are the latest bootloader and modem for my XEF i9505: I9505XXUPQG1 ?

Edit 1: Thank you audit13 for your feedback. I have successfully flashed TWRP twrp-3.1.1-0-jfltexx.img.tar with Odin v3.13.1. Then i have backuped my stock rom (EFS partition included), just in case
I would like first to do a full backup of my phone (included the EFS partition which stores the IMEI numbers and data)
Could please you tell me :
-Which is the latest TWRP version compatible with my current I9505XUHPK2 bootloader and I9505XUHPK2 baseband ? is the 3.2.1-0 ok ?
https://eu.dl.twrp.me/jfltexx/
-Which Odin version should i use to flash this TWRP ? Is the lastest one v3.13.1 compatible ?
TWRP is not dependent on the bootloader version. I recommend always running the phone with the latest bootloader and modem and I believe PK2 is the latest.
You can use Odin version 3.07 or newer to flash TWRP.
A battery-friendly ROM is going to be stock. There may be others but I stuck with a de-bloated stock ROM for my s4.
Ive tried GPE ROM's in the past (maybe not that exact one, it was ages ago) and found issues, though they may have been fixed by now...
Personally these days i wouldn't go less than a Nougat (Android 7) ROM (not sure why youre wanting to downgrade to KitKat - much better fucntionality and app choices in your current ROM, and better again in later ROM's), at very least the stock official LineageOS 14.1 (updated nightly) on an S4, so much better than any stock ROM, no bloat for a start. Though going with a stock ROM, if its rooted you can remove the bloat at least.....
The latest modem&bootloader is technically XXUHQC1, though i have tested it for months, i eventually went back to XXUHPK2, so i would stick with that...
Note: You can always choose to upgrade/downgrade the modem&bootloader independently of the ROM (im using PK2 with Oreo (Android 8.1), the best source, in case you ever feel like trying an alternate, they are here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/general/ref-galaxy-s4-i9505-modems-bootloaders-t3315987 Worth sticking in your bookmarks
Note 2: They often hide some previous versions under the Click To Show Content buttons....
Hi Stylemessiah.

I was hoping that because KitKat is lightweight, With 2GB of RAM it could be responsive and with a good battery life. I know that kitkat is kind of security updates outdated...
I would like to use Opera Mini, Waze, and during hiking the GPS and the Camera (no video recording). But my main usage will be 2G idle during day, and airplane mode during night. Few sms, no calls (and no games by the way, so performance or costumization doesn't matter for me).
In the old times, with my S1 i9000 i could last 6days+ with a single charge (without using much the phone indeed ...)
Thanks
