Just a quick question, is there anything special about an Otg cable compared to say a standard usb male/female cable? Is there a difference in pin configuration or is any old male micro usb to female standard usb cable the same thing?
Like a standard CAT5 and crossover cable are same connectors but different pin config

I have a Pass & Seymour TM8-USBLACC6 "Combination Device" and it's not charging the N7, or at least isn't saying so. I may have a wiring issue as I have two hot leads in that kitchen counter outlet and had to put a marette on one. Leviton and Cooper also make these USB outlets.

to those using Ziddey's Kernel Patch for enabling USB OTG on the Nexus 4 using an externally powered USB OTG cable,
do you think this would work? do you think the power bank would be responsible for powering connected usb devices when on USB OTG mode?

Am I missing something? Don't see a review or link.
When i plug usb to usb from the shield to windows 10 on the usb port near the hdmi on the shield, nothing happens, if i plug it in the far usb port i get this error on windows.
