CM Gapps usually leaves it out because you can find it on the market. The maps itself is roughly 6.8MB.
I honestly don't know why you can't just get it from the market.

Yes.
My tablet, which is perfectly capable of running Google Maps and is doing so just fine with a previous version, absolutely refuses to find that Maps even exists in the Market.
At the link above, the Market won't install to my tablet because it thinks it's incompatible.
Our Nexus S's will find and install nearly anything in the Market with the exception of some tablet-only or other highly hardware-specific apps. That's far from the case with many other devices. Some devices have to be hacked just to access the Market at all.

Gta3 80% off but not compatible!!

Anyone know how I can get this on the note? Really want it but can't get it.

There's a few different versions. One said it wasn't compatible, but the another did.
I downloaded and installed it last night no problems.

There seem to be a number of versions for various territories. When I bought mine I had the same issue, but checking all the versions in the "More From Developer" link, I found the version that was for my territory.

That's weird, I use Market Enabler to set my SIM code to Telstra (as I'm working in Thailand at the moment with a Thai SIM, and they have less apps available than Aus) and I was able to download it.
I think I may have found it on the web and then bought it via the web and sent it to my phone.
Otherwise try using Market Enabler to set your carrier to a US one.
Where cna i Download it from
I bought it a while back and it works fine. Even hooked it up via HDMI to my TV and played like that it was pretty awesome. But as stated before different territories have different versions and since I'm in North America that could be the reason why mine is working.
i just buy it at Play store with no problems (N700 was on compatibilyty list), downloading files now Thx for 80% sale info
Working on my 2.3.6 GB N7000. Installed via play store from phone.

I believe on cm9 it gives you the option to temporarily disable root.
Might come in handy?
also you need to make sure your boot.img is secure eg
ro.secure=1 in /default.prop

[GUIDE] use Samsung Hubs outside supported countries

I have found a way to get (music /video /games ,s suggest and learning Hub) to work outside supported countries
First edit your region in samsung account to be in (UK) , (if you cant edit it delete it and sine up again with same email but with different country and choose UK)
Second download market enabler from here http://db.tt/rh64Cyzu (needs root) And adjust it to (United Kingdom Bt)
finally you will get (Uk google play market with all apps on it, Uk samsung app store and all hubs working)
Tested on all Ics and jelly bean roms, official and custom

Chainfire 3d works.
Nova 3 and dead trigger look so much better
What it does is enable the graphics that only tegra 3 devices have so it adds more things like smoke and water effects and makes it all look very pretty.

I tried once but the download didn't work and you have to pay to download more than once in a certain period of time apparently.
