No Dont!!!
Once I also updated Superuser,It started giving problems.. So dont update Superuser
if the SU binary is above 3.0
then its fine if you dont update,
i cant update my SU binaries too
I was able to update my SuperSU through the android store with no problems so I don't think you will encounter any.
same problem by me:binary su update failed??????

Busy Box is something that you
install on your phone to give you
some additional handy LINUX / UNIX
based commands. You need Busy Box
installed because some commands
are not available to you and you
made need them for some root
level tasks.

Oh, ok friend,, thank you.. :good:
Su can be updated by at least 3 ways.
1. Thru google play
2. Thru su itself. (If you are using an old version it is under "preferences" then "check binaries"
3. Thru a zip update which is flashable via cwm. I've seen that in a thread here at xda.
If you are trying to update your su, make sure you have an excelent internet connection to avoid any sudden disconnection which does not do anything good.
Before you update it, Keep atleast a titanium back up or a nandroid back up of your su app, or a nandroid back up (but i think its to much) so that if anything not nice happens, you could revert it. It is a rule of thumb,"always have a back up before atempting something not for 'ordinary users'".
About busybox: it is currently available at the market for free. Or you could search for it here at xda. Note: busybox is NOT an app. It is a set of BINARIES. The ones you could get in the play store are INSTALLERS of this binaries.

I update superuser regularly but didnt get any problem yet. I dont have busybox. I update through googleplay.
I can suggest one thing bro, if any app works for you. Dont update it. Cause in most cases updates sucks.

Am having the same problem also..
When the tab tries to update samsung apps it downloads new versions of the samsungapps.apk and the samsungapps.una.apk to /data/apps folder. Both apps install manually but on launch samsung apps still wants to upodate the una.apk.
I assume its a r/w rights issue with the modaco rom but have so far failed in my attempts to sort it...
Hope someone has the answer to this!
Its your csc code.
i suggest you to not update samsung store, the new one is a mess... it says updates in all apps even if you don't have installed ones and the new layout is crap too.
Same problem here... :-(

Read this in a other thread on XDA. Did what it said and now i can update and have access to the new layout off samsung apps. I also have modacos rom and used root explorer to delete the file.

If you want to update SamsungApps on modaco - just delete /system/app/UNAService.apk (don't forget to make a backup of this file)

Thanks for the guidance - I can now open Samsung Apps. And understand what the other posts mean!
Terrible interface, and most of the apps are not worth having.

Comrades, Just got myself a Nexus7 and rooted it as soon as I got home but titanium backup gives me an error message saying could not open and my device may not be properly rooted!! I used the root tool app.
Can I re root using the same steps without any damage ?
many thanks.

You need to unlock bootloader first before you can root.
Make sure to backup your data, it will be wiped when unlock the bootloader.

Do you really need titanium backup right now? if you just bought it and tried to root it as soon as you got home, you shouldnt have anything on your device of importance do you? lol
if you did get root, titanium needs a busybox installed for it to work. get the busybox app by stericson at the market. open the app, install busybox.

Yes, like most people I've spent a couple of days tweaking, downloading, transferring files and basicly using the tablet.
I did not sit will an empty tablet waiting to sort out the titanium problem. Thanks.

are you sure that you have root? open a terminal emulator app then type su. if you get a # symbol, then you have root.

yea, we can flash kernels and roms without having root. you just cant use root apps. im sure that your rom probably has root, every custom rom does. it is possible that your rom has an option t enable and disable root. also, you can also flash the latest root binaries via your recovery. or it could be just the superuser app messing up. delete the app data for the superuser app and try again.
thnx i am thinking to re root and install rom again can u plz suggest latest gapps...plz

you can get most the gapps from the play market. i use a gapps from over a month ago, so you probably wont want it. but why reroot? best thing to do would be to wipe data(factory reset) in your recovery, then reflash your rom and gapps. make a nandroid backup in your recovery first, just in case.
thnx i downloaded latest superuser.zip and installed from recovery mode...everything went to normal..thanx for ur help ahain...

Why not just use a file explorer with root rights to uninstall system apps by going to
/system/app and deleting it?
Odds are you'll have a file explorer already.. don't see the point in an entire separate app just for that purpose.
You can't do that when it is preinstalled into the framework of the settings of a rom

I removed that app and installed this one, and everything works fine:

Chainfires SuperSU has been updating and playing very well with everything. The one from root exploit is dodgy at best.

So I flashed the new superuser apk and you were right. The one that came with io root is dodgy. It never said I had any apps that had su rights.
The new app started freaking about su privileges. At least I know the new one is working.

Is it as easy as removing? and installling a new supersu? or do i have to flash it via TWRP?
Will using the superSU over write the previous?
I'm having the same issue but i stopped at that and haven't touched the phone since i saw others have been having trouble after that.
I have not installed TWRP or anything. i just want a simple root as i'm not looking to do anything fancy.
As you can tell I'm still new to all this.

Install the one I posted from the App Store, then remove the normal way thru app manager to remove the other one.
After opening the new Chainfire SuperSU, a pop-up will notify you that it found another version of SuperSU installed, and ask if you'd like to remove it. Select Yes, and the software will remove the previous version for you.
I downloaded the new superuser app and opened it. It said some information didn't really read. It was basically install while phone is still running or flash via custom recovery. I flashed via custom recovery then uninstalled the old superuser app.
The thing is the system part of your phone is read only during runtime and that is where the apk needs to me installed.

You don't need to install in recovery after initial root. This is just for troublesome phones. The G2 takes SuperSU like a champ. It will uninstall the old for you and install new and update without a problem.
