first of all be little descriptive about what u did . the best n safest way is u shud resinstall the official 2.3 or 2.2 . sometimes weird problems do occur while installing new rom but after u reinstall they r sorted out .

Please, I need help. I have the same problem as OP, I have gone from Froyo 2.2.2 to official 2.3.5, however I think I used the official U8800 version, and I have a U8800-51. I have no wifi, and wanted to fix it, and now I am stuck. I want to go back to Froyo, but I can't use Roadkil's disk image at the moment because it won't recognize my device.

Its a Clockworkmod recovery bug, and, will be present in a rooted phone with a Stock ROM also. There is no workaround as users who have installed the new version state this bug persists.

Sorry but I've never heard of anything like that. There should be a recovery tool for windows. I only have this phone so you will have to investigate for yourself.
Keep looking in this thread someone else will come along soon.

It's obvious your phone is not rooted. Try flashing an RUU.
1: Visit here:
http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model=Buzz
2: Get any Eclair RUU,
RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1_Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25_release_151892_signed.exe
(I am assuming your phone was not operator locked / branded)
3: Connect your Wildfire to your PC, and, run the EXE file. (Note: Make sure the EXE file downloads fully. It is approx 130 MB in size)
4: Let the process complete (Takes ~15 minutes)
If it is successful, check whether the phone starts up properly or not. If it still doesn't, return it to you dealer and claim your warranty.

Is your phone an operator branded one?
Anyway, to solve that, you will need to create a goldcard. Guide here:
http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/10/how-to-create-a-goldcard/
But remember, if your phone is branded, this will remove their ROM and add a stock HTC WWE (Worldwide English) one, probably voiding the warranty if there is no RUU for your carrier.
problem solved i flash with same version..
tnx to all....

If you tried official link & the devices IMEI found in battery area build label it would indeed supply download regardless of it being on Android or W7 or anything else .
Could of extracted ROM & flashed from SD too.

Need help big time people. With my HTC Wildfire

Hello, the other day I Root my HTC Wildfire with revolutionary. And installed honeyfire-alpha-2 onto my HTC Wildfire. And when I tryed to connect it to my computer nothing happens. The only thing that comes up on my phone that it says its charging and thats all. I have tryed to remove the honeyfire-alpha-2 and nothing happens, and one more thing I got it of this site the honeyfire-alpha-2 Root App. If anyone can help me bring my phone back to stock that would be very helpfull. Thanks!...

Honeyfire is an experimental rom, so I wouldn't even try it. However, its quite easy to get back to a stock configuration..even if you haven't backed up. First, download a safe-flash zip of a froyo ruu. Then go into CWM. Do a wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache too. Then flash the safe-flash zip. Then you'd be back to stock.

if i can correct your words..
u didnt root your phone with revolutionary.. honestly the "rooting" is very close to hoax..
if u used revolutionary u got full S-OFF (Security-Off) and new recorvery system (Revolutionary ClockworkMod Recovery 4.0.1.4)
S-OFF gives u opportunity to:
Flash new OS
Flash new radio
Disable SIM lock
"Rooting" is on turn when u have installed OS and u need to gain root permissions.. thats all..
back to your problem...
and lets start with a question..
did u backup your original OS ? if yes.. coming back is easy..
if no (thats smart)... u will always depend on some downloaded file.........
(suppose that u have access only to one same phone)
...but this all is just about the sources
because.... WHAT DO U REALLY WANT ?
do u want to stay S-OFF with ClockworkMod Recovery but with original OS ?
or u want to S-ON with that Stock Recovery thing and with original OS ?
Edit:
btw if this

Try to download RUU WWE(world wide english), and install it.
You will stay S-OFF, but if you are S-off with revolutinary try this:

Easy to do all that things so you won't have problems(I hope).

[Q] need help:Move from Gingerbread 2.3.5 SD to MIUI

Hi,
I have Gingerbread 2.3.5 (Nexus) as the only Operation System on my HD2. It crashes when I use some application e.g. Scan my SD card for medias, using a music player. Now I want to switch to a better ROM like MIUI (that's what I've heard). How can I do that?
Please consider that:
- I'm beginner
- I have only Android (No Windows)
- I have HSLP v 3.* (A version of MIUI which I downloaded and tried to install, only support HSPL v 2.* or bellow)
I will appreciate any kinds of help.
Thanks,
Mas

LEO100 HX-BC SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-1.5.0.1
SPL 3.03

And bytheway, it seems that I made a mistake in my subject. In the bootloader menu it says "NAND Android"

I'm thinking about re-installing a Windows and then install an android on my SD card if I don't have any other options.
You've been given a fake I think. The HD2 doesn't have HBOOT or S-ON/OFF in the bootloader.

Could you upload pictures of the screens where u see that stuff?
And to return to winmo 6.5,
1. downlad the rom from htc.com
2. boot into the bootloader ( to do this, turn off the phone, turn it on while holding the volume down and power key until u boot into the bootloader )
3. Connect your phone to the pc using the usb
4. The 'serial' word should change to 'usb', at this point, just run the rom.
All this is assuming you have a HD2.

I won't face any problem due to the version of my SPL etc?

Hi, I would use task29, as it wipes the internal memory clean. Do note that some people have bad blocks ( a bit of corrupted memory ) after using task29. But i have used it alot and never faced this issue, If u havnt done it before, no harm it using it.

tnx.
I will try task29 and lets see what will happen.
As you can see in the title, I have a NAND Gingerbread 2.3.5 (Nexus) and I'm not very happy with it so I want to recover my winmo 6.5 and then install another rom of Androdi on my SD. Am I in the right path?
- task29
- put the stock rom on my SD
- reboot and install the winmo 6.5
regards,
Masood
its basically task29, then u boot into the bootloader, ( because the internal memory is wiped, nothing else u can boot into ), then u connect the phone to the pc using the usb, then just run the rom u downloaded, its an executable. If it reads the phone ( which it will ) it will automatically install winmo 6.5
And just to inform you, u have a really really old rom. After winmo 6.5, i suggest u install one of the latest gingerbread roms. I use Typhoon's rom, its really fast and smooth and bugfree. PERFECT for everyday use

Alright. U have android 2.3.5. Thats really old. You will have to answer some questions,
1) Do you have clockworkmod recovery( CWR ) installed?
2) Did u flash the rom yourself? Are you familiar with the whole flashing process?
I'm guessing you already have MAGLDR bootloader installed. And you dont need to remove everything. You will be adding a few things, thats all.
Btw, you will have to make backups of everything you need. Eg, stuff on your sd card, pics and all. And your SD card WILL BE WIPED CLEAN.
I JUST READ YOUR OLD POST. lol sorry
If you have MAGLDR installed, Which probably is, you dont need task29. Its quite simple from there actually
