hey I'm a newbie here so can't comment on direct thread of microslavs ics Rom can anyone pls tell him the improvements he can make in his Rom..I've used it for a week very deeply along with mikes Rom and came up with things which can be improved..
1.pls try to add screen timeout never option
2.swapper doesn't work on your Rom but on mike gapinski it worked so pls check it out.
3..the softkey backlight remains on forever everytime you operate your device.while mike's Rom has a feature of disabling it .pls add that feature or try to make softkey backlight turn off automatically after 5 sec or so.
4.the haptic feedback vibration is very much weak..pls increase a little bit power.
5.your Rom leaves only 20-30 mb of ram on an average while mikes gives about 50-60 on average .also phone is a little bit slower even at 600 frequency as compared to mike Rom.
6.phone reboots everytime you make some big changes like changing language..etc
7.the play store your Rom provides has a bug. When you accept and download any apk from market...the download starts after about 10 minutes later or sometimes doesn't start at all..(on 1.2mbps connection) when i tried the zoe's 2.3 Rom's play store(version 3.8) ...downloads occur instantly everytime.pls fix that
PLS NOTE THAT I'M NOT PROMOTING MIKE's Rom infact your work is awesome since it has NO DAILY USE BUGS AT ALL...just giving you feedback only so that you can be more best in what you do...

Indroid was the 1st custom rom i flashed on my G3. Before this I was very new to all these. I am only waiting for a simple way to partition and use Indriod FSC then I will post in this thread some troubleshoot for newbies which I felt during Indroid ROM flashing. hope that will make life easier for those who want to flash it but worried about errors.
Can i overclock my indroid 4.2 ?? And are there some risks? will my telephone die?

Use minitool and partition your sd..I could make a video on using ext4 as data on indroid if you want me to?
I'd show from start in the video if you'll want it.
And Indroid FSC is used after making an ext partition on sd not before.

I installed indroid 4.2. Everything seems to work, except the gps and usb-connection.
It takes a very long time to get a fix on gps. When i finally get get a fix and i give a location in google navigation, it crashes.
About the usb-connection, the first time i connected to my pc, it worked. But after that, it doesn't work anymore. When i connect my sg3 to my pc, it thrils ones and that's it.

If you have updated the kernel to beta 3 then stick to it no need to reflash

Precise Volume Control, Smooth Scrolling and Battery Drain Fix
This is a modified framework.jar and framework.odex based on the tutorial here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411317
This mod is tested working on ICS Final by Jusada. I don't know if this mod is isn't working for others. One thing for sure, this works for CyanogenMod 7.2. I haven't try flash it on other ROMs, so, if this works for you, do tell me. I'll let the others know.

After 3 days using this mod, i can say it's amazing for my phone. My battery life increased almost twice. I used my phone as usual - always 3G and wi-fi on, few 5-6 mins phone calls and a lot of browsing in market and browser. Few minutes of Angry Birds Rio (I'm not a fan of games, my girlfriend plays) and almost 45 mins of watching online TV. My battery last more than two and a half days!!! This is something unthinkable until now. The volume steps are 30 and smooth scolling is working well for me too.
Thank you for this mod!!!

Basically, this a patch of :
A more precise volume control (Volume steps mod)
A smoother overall scrolling (Smooth scroll mod)
Fixed a CyanogenMod 7.2 battery drain issue
Volume steps mod
- People who use Android may complain about the big jump of the volume control.
- By using this mod, the volume steps are changed to 30 steps instead of the default 15 so the volume control becomes more precise.
Smooth scroll mod
- Some application developers recommend disable 'scrollingcache' in app's internal config as it can cause problem to the system, but not all applications have disabled scrollingcache.
- You will experience better overall scrolling after flashing this mod.
Battery Drain Issue
- Some people report that CyanogenMod 7.2 has a battery drain issue on SGA, and till now the problem hasn't been resolved yet.
- In my experience, this mod gives ENORMOUS battery saving, even when my SGA is overclocked at 883 MHz. But then, this is only from my own experience. I won't promise you anything.
Installing method:
Download the frameworkmod.zip from the attachment.
Mount /system.
Flash it via ClockWorkMod.
Enjoy.
Just in case of failure, make sure you have a NANDROID backup before flashing. If you have boot problems, use advance restore>restore system to revert it back.
Don't blame me if your SGA won't boot if you're using deodexed roms or stock rom.
CREDITS
Thanks to AndroidON for his great tutorial in making this mod working. Also to everybody who help me as testers and who share ideas with me.
P.S: This mod takes no effect for some people, but it works if added manually though. I think it's a script problem. Try flashing this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436367&page=6 (Thanks kevinlekiller )
Please click the thanks button, if this works.
__________________________________________________________________
Great News for Deodexed ROMs users, I have made the deodexed version of this mod, but yet to be tested due to no deodex roms at my disposal. So, this is a BIG WARNING!! Try, and report. Make sure you make a NANDROID backup first in case of boot failure. Anybody who use deodex roms, and want to contribute something in this modding, please PM me.
NEWThis is the working deodexed frameworkmod based on TheMyth ICS beta 2 framework.jar. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21247921&postcount=104 Try and report.
NEWThere are some people who report InfinityROM works with the deodexed version, the one that you can download below despite the rom itself is a odexed rom. Ask Mr Google why.
Can you explain what you did on the "Battery Drain Issue". Thanks.
Honestly, I totally had no idea why this would fix the battery issue, but to my experience this makes my battery lasts longer than before the modding. So, I just make a premature conclusion that MAYBE the modding itself repairs the issue. I don't know.
The volume control it's great but i'm not sure if fix the battery issue and the scrolling its great
Good work!
Glad it's working for you since this is my first post here.
thx for the mod will test it later!!
I assume it's capable of working with other mods like slaid's, gadgetcheck's and others, cause the files won't be placed in init.d?

Sorry, please read again at the post. This is not a init.d script mod, this is a modified /system/framework/framework.jar and framework.odex files. Of course this mod completely compatible with those scripts, I suppose.
I know this isn't an init.d mod. That's why I mentioned it in my previous post to justify my statement. I asked just to be sure, it's the first question of this kind here so I think it's ok. Thanks for the answer.

I never use stock roms, so, there will be no mods for stock roms from me. Quite a disappointing news to stock roms fans.
Current status: CM10.1 in the works and this version will not be updated.
Got started with the project in January, I'm now ready to present you my first custom ROM (and kernel) - BLECM9!
First of all - BACKUP! This is not stable for everyday use just yet.
It also includes my own kernel, based on the latest CAF source code (ics_chocolate). The kernel gets frequent updates from CAF and me. Kernel version is 3.0.8. It's not as stable in the beginning but a better choice in the long term.
It won't include Google Apps, you need to manually install gapps package, as any other CM rom is by default.
Prequisites
U8800 upgraded to 2.3
ClockworkMod Recovery v5.5.0.4, not tested in v5.0.2.7
Instructions for Installing
Download the latest version of BLECM9 (Downloads below).
Copy the package to your internal/external SD card.
Reboot to recovery.
Flash the update package.
Optional: Install Gapps package (Downloads below).
Reboot and wait. The first boot takes around 2 minutes.

No, this won't work on U8800-51 or U8800Pro.
Atmel TS users, 0.02 will not work for you. I am establishing a new driver, to make the driver standard. Please standby as this is my top priority.
Everybody, send me logs if something does not work. This kernel is under heavy development. On computer with ADB set up: "adb shell dmesg > dmesg.log" and send the dmesg.log
Major Bugs
No Atmel TS support.
RIL issues (does not detect all SIMs)

Wifi is working good.
Bugs that I've found:
Screen flickering (unstable backlight)
Can't mount SDCard.
RIL isn't working on my u8800.
Overall it looks very promising!
Logs attached.

Yes, It's related to HW acceleration, causing some UI glitches.

Great! Been waiting for CM9 a long time ago too... Blefish, you should post some rules as to what we should and how to post in this thread, maybe instructions on how to post specific logs and what kind of info you need. The rest of the discussion should be posted in the general section. I would really hate for this thread to become a mess like Aurora's...

I flashed 0.02, touchscreen didn't work. Then flashed Atmel-test2, touchscreen still doesn't work. Also phone reboots randomly.
I suggest to all of you interested helping Blefish, follow him on Twitter.
For those who tried Atmel-test-2-signed.zip

Another bug: it does not recognize my SIM card (TMN)
Also, LOTS of graphical bugs.
This is AOKP 'Jellaxy' for Galaxy Ace
This is compiled from Sources for Gio by erikcas and adapted to Galaxy Ace. Due to the fact that these devices are so near to each other, only the really 'device dependant' files and the kernel have been replaced.
Download from HERE
OR
Take it from downloadpage from our website
(see links page there for gapps, performance scripts and a howto by hrk, to free up space)
For installation and tweaking instructions read my CM10 thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874920

26.10.2012 Build5
camera working, deepsleep solved
network location working, deepsleep solved
Build5 / Android 4.1.2
WaylandAces CameraHAL. Minor problems which will be fixed
Many changes by TheWhisp (camera / CRT and many other things)
changed RIL class
Calculator fixed
added zipalign binary for script support
added support for 'userinit.sh' scripts
'build.prop' tweaks from Supercharger
Network Location: For working network location you have to flash latest gapps provided by KonstaT from here http://www.modaco.com/topic/355903-devrom1710-cyanogenmod-10-android-412/ If it does not work first, than reboot and/or reconfigure weather settings in 'ROM Control' settings. You should be able to have weather on your lockscreen based on your actual position.

has it google play?
screen always turn on after CRT-animation...
lagloose power off delay needed to remove as crt off anim looks weird in aokp without it

Clock FC when trying to set an alarm, this is a big bug, if anyone can verify this, maybe im wrong?
Lagloose can we use the performance package also for our ace or is it only for galaxy fit or mini (i dont know which it is )

Good rom, just few questions... first why there are 2 launchers?? In trebuchet there is overlapping issue so nova it is . Next in rom control i'm missing 2g/3g toggle while in other aokp there is.

Michie's A2SDX not working here. Created the EXT4 partition (1GB), flashed the zip through CWM, got a positive result, but nothing changed under Settings -> Storage. Even tried to flash it twice, got the same positive result, but no extra space again.
EDIT: A2SDX FROM MICHIE IS WORKING. Just needed to reflash.
Got stuck on boot animation after flashing Michie's Performance Package, although I got a positive result in CWM. Over 10 minutes waiting.
Also, tried to flash gapps, the only new apps are Play Store, Talk and Voice search.
As people mentioned above, screen goes on again, for less than a second, after locking it with the lock button. It doesn't happen if you wait the sleep time. It does happen if you wait the sleep time, but on lockscreen (without unlocking the phone). Weird.
Also mentioned above, there's a weird overlapping from the home screen apps over the dock (it gets worse if you enable the navigation bar). I see no reason for a 3rd party launcher, but while this isn't fixed, I'm going with Nova.
In general, this is a great job. Nice config options from AOKP, less buggy than my first CM10 attempt, and a bit faster than CM10 (could be placebo, though).
Keep up this awesome work!!

Enviado desde mi GT-S5830
Wait, aren't the performance packages for Cm10 and AOKP different? If you've flashed the Cm10 one, it's got a patched framework, amid other things, so it won't work with AOKP, for reasons evident.
AOKP performance package do not work.
Anyway what do you guys think is smoother, this or CM10?
USB Mass Storage
Hi, can someone help me please how to connect my Ace with PC?
When I connect USB cable the phone its charging but I dont know how can I transfer data? There is no pop-up menu like in CM
And there is not option to connect to Google account is that correct?
Edit: Gsync is ok now but phone (calls and sms) not working for me - only me?
Thanks!
Atm the bug that i had was charging battery this whole night, and was only 93% . Not even charging again i could get 100%. Someone faced same problem? Very fast room and good costumization

its same but the other thread locked i ll try do mirror links
I love it
Thank you for your hard work.
I found some issues:
- This ROM is a little lag (But I dont care 'cause I love MIUI ROM)
- System use a lot of RAM (this is a big problem for me, sometime my phone reboots automatically)
[Your ROM has 358MB of RAM, Blefish's CM12 ROM has 427MB of RAM. I think it'll be bette if you ask Blefish give 427MB RAM on MIUI ROM]
Once again, thank you and have a great day

Some feedback after one-day use:
1.Ram issue is still there.
It seems difficultly for you to make u8800's Rom when you no longer own it.
2. This Rom auto-send international message (maybe to China) and not appear on Message App, I lost a little money from my account (0.12$ per one). I knew that when I asked my operation service center. (My phone sent 7 message in total)
So I think that I cant continue testing your Rom, I'm so sorry.
Once again, thank you very much and have a great day.
