Wifi wont tether with bluetooth enabled - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Folks,
Probably unusual what I'm trying to do, but I use my galaxy nexus as a portable wifi hotspot when out of wifi range so i have a data connection on my nexus 7. The nexus 7 usually connects no problem to the phone but it wont connect if i have a the phone paired with the tablet using bluetooth. I use the bluetooh pairing to run tablet talk when not running both on the same wifi. Disabling bluetooth allows the tablet to connect to the phone via wifi. Im on stock jellybean on both devices. The 7 is rooted. The other option is to use a bluetooth tether for internet and not bother with the wifi but that doesnt seem to work all the time either. The tablet looses internet connection when tethered via bluetooth
Anyone else have same issues?

[Q] Teather via Bluetooth?

Hi,
I often used to connect my laptop to my Windows Mobile via Bluetooth PAN in order that I could get internet access on the laptop whilst in a remote location. Is there anyway to do this on an Android HTC Desire, or any other kind of wireless tethering?
Sorry, just seen the Portable WiFi Hotspot feature in the Wireless and Network settings. I'm guessing I can achieve the same thing ia this method rather than bluetooth

Is it possible to Connect to phones Wi-Fi?

I'm not trying to tether my 3g/4g connection. I want to connect to Wi-Fi with my phone and then have another device connect to my phone's Wi-Fi connection.
The reason I'm trying to do this is because upstairs I have a good connection with my phone to Wi-Fi, but my Google tv can barely connect to my router.
It's this possible? Thanks for any help!

I think your talking about wifi tether and it is possible, go to wireless and network settings and select tethering and portable hospot
So you basically want to use your phone as a WiFi range extender? No, that's not possible because the phone cannot connect and broadcast a WiFi network simultaneously. Buy an apple airport express. I've used it for that exact purpose, and it worked really well.

[Q] Can I Tether A Wi-Fi Connection

Hi guys. This might be a silly question, but here goes.
I am currently staying in a hotel with my family abroad. Each room gets only one username and password for their Wi-Fi network. Once used, no other device can use that username and password. The problem is that there are 3 devices in the room.
I was wondering if I could use that connection on my note 3 and wirelessly tether the connection to everyone else.
I have managed to do this through Bluetooth tethering to a note tablet, but the third device is my dad's iPad so I don't think that's gonna work. My best bet is Wi-Fi tethering to him.
Wireless tethering is disabled when I'm connected to the Wi-Fi network, so I guess my best bet is an app.
Is this possible, and how?
You can use wifi hot spot on your device if iirc, then run the other devices via the Note.

If you have a laptop, you could connect to the wifi through your phone, and then tether your phone to the laptop via USB. Then install a hotspot program on the laptop to enable other devices to connect to the laptop, as if it were a router.

How disable wifi

I have an Nvidia Shield, about 5 years old. Version 10.40.33
I was using wifi to connect. I recently started using Wired ethernet.
Whenever I start it, it uses WiFi. Switching to ethernet is cumbersome for some reason.
How can I disable wifi on this device?
Thanks
Why don't you make it "forget" your WiFi network.

Simultaneous Bluetooth tether and wifi connectivity on WiFi variant

Is there a way to keep out tablet connected to phone via bluetooth for internet, but when there are available wifi networks it connects fine, while simultaneously keeping BL Bluetooth connection incase the WiFi disconnected without having the hassle to reconnect manually everytime?
Bluetooth tethering is way more efficient battery consumption wise, but when using public transport their WiFi network is much faster, however Bluetooth tethering stops when you connect to it,so is there a way to keep both connections on, or perhaps an automation to reconnect Bluetooth tether?
Thanks in advance
