Was wondering why there's no custom kernel for this tab? As the hardware is almost identical as galaxy note.. Was using Gnote then just swap over to this 7.7 tab and was surprised that the development was entirely different.. Or there's not much cooker here for here for this tab?

8.9 is expected around the time Touchwiz 4 is available...
If one core smartphone can have it do you think that galaxy tab can get it as well?
Of course this is possible. Our tabs are more or less the same thing with more RAM. Now the question is, does anyone WANT to port it?

I remember this now. Thanks for the reminder it isn't getting ported to CDMA! J/k. Now if only there was a cdma dev interested in doing this... I think JT is too busy with CM7 and MIUI to even consider it.

Both are the same, just different casing . If you are 3G use p7500 roms. If you are wifi only use 7510 roms

In Germany Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7500 is banned and replace by Galaxy Tab 10.1N GT-P7501. Now German providers deliver 3.2 updates up to now only for the GT-P7501.
I also heard that firmware should be the same and only minor design changes in hardware are the difference.
Can I use a GT-P7501 ROM on corresponding GT-P7500 tablet? Has someone tried it? Thanx.

Only saw success reports in the forum, didn't came across a negative report yet.
Basically only design changes, so don't be afraid to use the rom.

Anyway, as the source code hasn't been released yet I'd say no, ports of the sdk are probably around soon enough but you'll have wait another month or so before the interesting stuff starts.

Decided to start using my galaxy 10.1 more often and wanted to flash it or add a Better kernel.. I've done it with my phones but I'm out of the loop on tablets. What's the most popular rom and kernel people are using? My tab is hardly ever used in the past and feels laggy as well.

You should state which version of the 10.1 you have. Not all the ROMs are interchangeable.
