It doesn't totally fix it but it is a vast improvement.
Banding is also greatly reduced but again, not entirely fixed.
Blame Samsung for making crappy screens.

I gave it camera permissions already but it still isn't working... How are you using it? do you click the front camera button then just turn on torch? or what?

You have to touch a little high of center on the front icon.
