* key does not work like on Dash/S620

I used to be able to press the * (asterisk) key on my old dash/excalibur phone to toggle full screen in apps such as slingplayer.
But I have noticed that the * key on my new HTC Snap (s522) is not recognized by many apps. On my S522, the asterisk is a "alt+" function, but even if I press the ALT key first, then the "A" key (which has the * on it to), the app wont recognize it.
I also found that when playing doom4ce, when you try to exit by pressing the "Y" key to the Prompt "Exit", it also will not work
Can anyone give me any clues as to how to fix this - such as modifying some keymap file?
If so, what is the name of this keyboard file and where is it located?
Any tips on how to modify it would be greatly appreciated!

What rom are U running? If you are running 3vo custom rom, keymapping is built in just need to enable it (english UK, USA....etc) if you are not. Check the sticky (Rom Dev. Section) you will find a tutorial over there.

I just tried to modify the txt file as per the tutorial, but no luck I'll keep figiting some more and maybe I'll get lucky...

Ok, you can search in the windows mobile hacking forums and see if you an easier tutorial over there.

[Q] FRX07.1 button's won't work : (

Hi i just installed on my HTC touch hd Android FRX07.1 and what i see buttons :
Back button
Green call button
Red Call button
And home button
are not working when i tap them i have vibration but nothing happen. Please help

Ive got it working on my Blackstone.
I'm sure this will help you.
Just download the ZIP file, unzip it, put all these files to the root folder of your SD card.
If camera doesnt work just upload this files to root.
Let it overwrite the files.

[Q] Apps not getting installed??

i am using SGS beta 3.0 on my i9000
when i try to install a .apk file
it shows the install/cancel page and then i am not able to click on the INSTALL button
then when i restart my phone and quickly browse to that file and try to install i am able to install it
but if i am late....like 30sec...i still have the same prob
y is this happening???
plz help

sounds strange! are you sure you tick in menu "apps from unkown sources"?
or try a full and clean wipe

yes i hav tick that option coz when ASTRO Backup shows the same install/cancel button i can click on the install button without any problem...

i cant change lockscreen

Hi guys... i have intstalled Jellyblast rom. 3.5.. i go to settings.. and i press the Lockscreen and Other settings and it showes me that message : ''The application setting has stoped unexpectedly.Please try again'' So what can i do about this? And i cant find me file manager!

Hey. First of all, this is a BANNED ROM. Second, if you had problem with your settings, try to extract settings.apk and myfiles.apk from the rom.zip file that you flashed then push it to system/apps using Root Explorer or use System App Installer. If it fails, try other Custom Rom.

btw jellybast is banned on xda
