Hello.........
Can any one in UK or Italy make the official update available for the rest of us?

Oh the horror.

quite fast i will say. occasional glitches due to RAM take over

I got my update via Kies yesterday on my P7510 in the UK. No problems with it yet..... It seems faster and the colours seem crisper and more vivid :laugh:

Why not flash the update through Odin? If you are on stock..just download the rom from samfirmware.com, select it in PDA in Odin and go go go..
It's how I did in Dutchieland

I am also on stock rom. Did you root ur device or did you install any recovery to flash ur tab with 4.04
Thoug i am quite comfortable with odin, I am unable to get my device into download mode by pressing the volume down key and power key combo.
Kindly guide me.

I was rooted before and had installed JellyBean on the tab.
I reflashed an official stock rom (3.2 Honeycomb) through odin and repartioned in Odin. I followed the guide down on this page:
http://www.teamovercome.net/p7500/?page_id=5 to get back to stock.
Since you are already on stock you don't need that.
But you will have to press left volume button first, then together with power and keep holding it 'till you get in the screen where you can get into download mode...it's the option on the right.
Then connect through usb to pc, pc has odin (v1.85 works for me) open and then just open the extracted file from samfirmware.com in PDA and press start.

You have to root it. And then I used Root Explorer to do the edits...
/system/build.prop
Look for:
ro.product.locale.region=GB
Change it to:
ro.product.locale.region=US
/system/etc/wifi/nvram.txt
Look for:
ccode=GB
Change it to:
ccode=ALL
No need to modify nvram_net.txt_us because it's already correct.

thanks

I left it with 100% this morning (8am) , found it at 100% when i came back home 5 minutes ago !

Yes, it works! Just make sure you have the right file downloaded and flash it with Odin, via the PDA. If it freezs at the samsung screen after loading the file on, then go into recovery and wipe data factory reset and then restart. your gold!

Rolling back Software

Hi,
i Currently have Andriod 2.3.3 on My Phone with CF-Root on with Also Installed ClockWorkMod.
I Plan on Rolling back to 2.2.1 to test something
If I Spoofed the Device using spoofw and Choosed a Different device Code and re-flashed with Kies.
Would This Work without any issues?

If you want official Froyo 2.2.1 for UK then flash XXJPY.
Flash with no pit and no re-partition after disabling any lagfix if enabled...and you will be fine.

I'm sure one of the tallented guys here at XDA will make CWM flashable file out of it anyway! Giving you the option to wipe it or not, so you could wait a few days to see if one does get made, before going the Odin route, they'll be mini reviews by then too. Although I personally think there wont be too much difference between this and the last update.

Signal indicator is full, but the phone works only after restart or airplane mode on and off. There's a thread about this issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2057285&page=5).

Yes it should be fine to flash but I can't say if your problem will be fixed.
You need root to flash this and I think your PDA, PHONE and CSC won't match correctly anymore, for kies or ota to give you updates.
You can still update manually with odin tho, when new fw for your country arrives.

Settings file is deleted?

Hello! I rooted my S4 today and installed the CWM recovery and flashed my new rom which is the Foxhound 2.0 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303239. I have had my older device rooted and i have flashed couple roms with it (huawei ideos x5) and i didn't want to lose all my files and apps from my S4 while flashing this rom, so i didn't do the factory reset thing. I wiped my cache and dalvik cache and then i flashed my rom. As soon as i got it working i was hyped and so on but i noticed that the Settings app was missing. I looked via root explorer and it wasn't in the folder /system/app/. I looked from the magical internet and didn't find anything. Nothing at all. I tried installing some setting.apk's but none of them worked. I downloaded the stock android 4.2.2 rom and copied the settings.apk from there but no, it didn't do anything. I tried also installing those setting apk's but it says 'app not installed'. I had my backup of the android 4.2.2 in my phone but when i tried to restore it to my phone, it said something about m5 sum thing or what it was i don't remember. If you have any clue, please help. I'm lost and i need guidance.
Sorry if there is some bad English, i'm from Finland.
In cwm restore settings, uncheck the check md5 sum. It should then let you restore the nandroid
