gud luck with the project

Has nobody problems with the program? There are 16 dowloads on the day i released it here on XDA. (The other day's i can not see).
Anyway i have a question. How can i detect with a adb command of the device is rooted or busybox is installed. Problem is i have only a "X10 pro mini" with CM7. And can not try to install busybox because it is already pre-installed. Otherwise in the programfolder you have a script folder (for adb shell). If somebody has a script that install busybox, I would be very happy that someone can share that with me .

I'm on the move so I can't give you a full answer yet. But one option to see if Busybox is installed is to try to pull it. If you can't, then it's not there.

Version 0.2.1 released and is stable. Press thanks if you liked it .
(please :/....)

Ok just uploaded a new version. I updated my phone to ICS and was wondered that my application is incompatible with it. Now it must work fine. Only problem i don't now of it still works on GB. Can sombody test it out for me.

No update for this software?

[ADDON LWP] Exclusive Samsung Fascinate LWP collection

so i happened to be viewing an email subscription i get when i happened upon this little tidbit. one of the guys from androidpolice ripped apart the facinate pull, and got the LWP's out of em. unfortunately he made it into a flashable zip so i had to manually adb install the apks and the lib file, but you can do it as well! here's the link to those LWP's

originally posted from:Jamezelle and Jcase:

and here's the install instructions:
PREREQUISITES: adb, (dont pm me to ask how to install adb. if you dont know how, you dont need these.) also you need fingers to type with
1.) so you've downloaded the zip, and you wanna install them? well go ahead and open the downloaded zip file with your favorite unzipper. save ALL files somewhere easy to access
2.) adb push the file liblwfa-0.A.2-mng-p1.so from the /system/lib folder of the place you saved the folder to your /system/lib folder
3.) adb install the apks for the lwp you chose from the data folder.
There is no reboot necessary to complete installation, once you adb install, you're done! bam! also instead of installing through adb, you could copy the apks to your sd card, and install through an app installer like astro.
here's a breakdown of which ones which, to give you an easier understanding of what you're gonna want:

FOREST
LAYERS OF LIGHT
LUMINESCENCE
SPARKS
To uninstall individual wall papers after flashing you must use adb and the following commands:
adb uninstall com.tat.livewallpaper.layersoflight
adb uninstall com.tat.livewallpaper.forest
adb uninstall com.tat.livewallpaper.flow
adb uninstall com.tat.livewallpaper.connection
adb uninstall com.tat.livewallpaper.luminescence
adb uninstall com.tat.livewallpaper.spark
Thanks for doing the XDA post, I have been extremely busy.

does it work on the Eris
Why are you in this section? It says HD2. *I think* These walls' are 800 x 480, so it'll probably instacrash the eris.
Thanks to the OP, these are nice and your instructions are spot on!
tytyty!
i am trying to figure out how to use cmd.exe and running the android sdk thingy i don't know how to install these lwp
I installed via astro and every one of them force closes
Look nice, but I find they just use too much power and really affect the performance..things become a little jumpy/laggy.

I'm glad you asked I was searching for LWP for Eris on this form and this thread came up in my search. This is why no ones uses search and they just keeps starting there own thread and asking the sames question over and over again. cause if they go to another thread and ask a question that's requires a simple yes or no we get answer like that. Sorry for my rant just see this all the time in many forums. It gets old quickly. anyways thanks for the answer

Root device? Safe?

Hi!
I have had this phone for a while now and thinking about rooting it so i can use droidwall and OC the phone. How is the easiest wat and is it safe?
Isak
i used z4root and no side-effect so far..
Ok, but if something goes wrong is it anyway to recover all data on the phone and just start up again?
i would say its always wise to do a backup before trying anything potentially dangerous..
u may read the other topic about recovery mode in this board for this..
Ok, gör det innan jag försöker roota
good luck and have fun..
worked perfect Thanks!
@Isakk1, can you please guide me how you rooted your u8800 using z4root?I got problem with the driver (huawei hsusb device)
hoping for your immediate response.tnx

do it in your own risk and make sure your understand what rooting is before rooting
get z4root, install it, run it, select "permanent root", wait until it reboots, done.
I need the driver dude..i keep searching on google but it's hard to find the exact file in this device.

USB driver for windows? do you see the auto mounted CD drive after plugging in? the drivers are there
Why need of drivers?
Assuming you are trying to copy z4root on your device... SD-card should mount itself when you plug usb in, just choose to mount from your phone notification are.
Moved to general.
I think this is what you're trying to do:
1. Open device manager, you will see this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then right click on the HSUSB Device choose update driver then browse my computer manually. Then browse to this:
It will then install the driver and it should show this in device manager now:
Also worthwhile would be starting cmd and running adb devices to make sure the phone is listed.
thankz a lot guys..very appreciated
i rooted my phone . but i feel it's not good idea when i use 1 week. the phone always have some issues when use, so i flash back.
Can someone upload the drivers and share the link coz I can't find the drivers on the mounted drive (it's empty) after I installed the B160 based ROM.
Drivers attached to this post
Thanks alot!
I used z4root from Applanet.net
installed easily and rooted no probs as well.

Failed to install Aroma file manager on Samsung S5

Hello. This is my first post on this forum so please correct me should i post this in the wrong cathegory or use wrong tags etc
I followed the straight-forward guide i find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108
Using the recovery mode on a Samsung S5 i have the option to "Apply update from external storage" and i find the .zip file under this tab and if i try to apply the update i get the following message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I've been trying this three times but i get the same error. I tried to search if other experienced the same problems but i found no similar threads.
Fyi this is on a non-rooted S5. It belonged to my grandmother which recently passed away and we are stuck trying to retrieve the photos on the device and this seemed like the best way. If there is any other way to retrieve these photos from a S5 with a pattern lock i will gladly accept any suggestions USB Debugging is obviously turned off on this phone -_-
Thank you!
You need root, a custom recovery and a terminal emulator as it seems to do this. Btw i`am sorry for your grandmother. Best is to flash a custom recovery with Odin, flash the latest superSU.zip in recovery . Reboot and install a terminal emulator from Play and follow the guide. Turn on usb debugging too.

That is weird. Zygote is an Android daemon that is used to launch apps. It shouldn't be requesting su permissions from the user. Do you give it permission or do you deny? Are you on a custom ROM?

thanks for responding, I'm on stock Rom and I allways deny permission without any issue in launching apps, everything is smooth without errors. I did some researches on that case, and I've found that it was impossible for Zygot to ask for root permission, so I guess it's just a malware, but it's not detected with Avast Pro, I'm really confused
Do you install apps from anywhere other than the playstore? Maybe you need to wipe and reinstall stock through TWRP. It can be hard to find malware by hand.

Yep I Have some alternative shops, I suspected that they were the gate from wich the malware came from so I deleted all of them except Aptoid, but the Evil is already inside now. BTW a wipe is not even to considered since I don't have time to reinstall and reconfigure more than 30 handy tool apps (drive droid, Exposed and its modules, lucky patcher and many more .....). thanks for caring, anyway I'll try to uninstall suspected apps and see.
Good luck.

Install apps over ADB
Install apks on any Android device running any Android version over ADB!
Hi all,
From a long time i was fiddling around with a problem of installing/downloading apps after installing a new ROM.
Thus i came up with an idea of a Batch File to install all of your apks from your system
to your phone in a few tips and taps. Hah! Found my solution .
How does it look?
To see some screenshots, please click below.
Tested on
The script had been tested on Nexus 5x, Nexus 5, Moto G4 but should work on any android device.
Downloads
Google Drive - Here is the link to Drive.
Link Below - You can also find the file below.
Installation instructions
Prerequisites
1. Platform Tools for Windows (ADB),
2. APK files,
3. Target phone connected to PC and
4. A cup of COFFEE or TEA as you like it.
Process
1. Download it from the attachments below or from the drive link above or here.
2. Copy the file to the ADB folder.
3. Execute the file.
4. You can either place your apps in "D:\Apps" folder. (Sllloooowwwww.....)
ORChange the folder location in batch file itself. (Requires some Coding Skills)
ORBatch file will ask you to change the location, if required. (Easy Installation, Pick Me!)
Troubleshooting
I don't think it's needed. But even then if you get any problem do write. I'll be happy to resolve it.
Enjoy, and also don't forget to write anything (Good, Bad or Thanks etc.)!
thank you so much if works like a charm!
Been locking for something similar.
Is it possible to take that script to next level, and make it as, a list of apps, and for them to be downloaded on the phone. I mean give order through ADB for each apps step by step, instead of folder, to be downloaded.
how to add online option like google drive folder in to the script
