So essentially you want to cheat Google out of £15?

Not sure how the previous answer was judgmental. You come to an Android development forum and ask us how to rip Google off a credit which is intended for customers who purchased this product.
We pay for our apps and support Android development 'round these parts. It's people like you that will make Google think twice about running this promotion in the future.

Fair enough post content deleted.
Wasn't asking about hacking or anything illegal tho.

It's cool...stuff like that is kind of frowned on. Welcome to xda

[OFFTOPIC] Forum police

Seems like lately the policing of the forums has gotten out of hand. I appreciate keeping reposts and wrong thread placement down to a minimum, but I feel like some of these over aggressive moderators are stifling the community. Information seems more difficult to obtain and group discussion seems to have slowed way down. I understand its difficult to keep so much info streamlined and well organized so my hats off to em, but damn, relax yo!
They love awareness threads.

Yeah it's always a good idea to take roms from the NS and NS4G section and mix them back into the same one again. Great move.
Sent from my super sleek NS4G which prefers Euroskank and RootzWiki because of Moderator power trips.

Or we could all migrate elsewhere you know. This place sucks. I can't come on here one day without seeing some sort of shenanigans going on.

Agreed we need to overthrow the current establishment and get mods who are actually part of the community and conversations and don't just come out the woodwork to ***** and close threads and be on an all around power trip.
If we had decent leadership this would not even be an issue.

Yes Mr. AllGamer, we're talking about you. Specifically about your senseless actions with some of the development threads enforcing imaginary rules which oddly were not broken nevertheless.

10Char.
If you feel that any mods have stepped out of line or done something wrong, feel free to send me (or any other Moderator Committee member) a PM with the details.
No need to start threads like these.

Why was my thread deleted?

It wasn't against any forum rules?
Whatever, if you are going to delete my threads, delete my user account too.
Bye XDA
This thread could be deleted too.
Doesn't bother me, would just like a reason for the first one... I tried to contribute and be as helpful as possible on xda the whole time I was here, but I think my time is done here... Maybe it's just the Atrix section...
Questions go in Q&A.
lmao! 10char
What thread
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Making a public post about it where probably 99% of the people reading it have no idea what thread you started, or what was deleted. Send a PM to a moderator, or check your PM inbox, unless of course you want to start an arbitrary thread just for the sake of *****ing.
if your thread was deleted then it probably didnt contribute anything useful or you posted it in the wrong section. threatening to not use the forums anymore is just as useless and isnt going to hurt anyone but yourself since this forum is free for everyone. like others suggested pm one of the mods responsible for the atrix forums and im sure there is a good reason why your thread was deleted, they dont just go around deleting random threads.
He made thread about the roms for the Atrix were "weak" and that we should get different phones...

If that's true he should delete his account. Devs put lots of time and effort in for ungrateful complainers like him to have a better android experience.

I don't fall into the dev worship crap. It is here or it isn't and the amount of time a dev puts into something is actually all on them. That's the nature of voluntering.
You thank them or you slag off and either way volunteers shouldn't expect any hero worship.

No, but they deserve our appreciation and you don't deserve this sense of entitlement. If you want something better make it yourself.

Yep. "It is here or it isn't"..... but then if Dev's just said screw it and left us high and dry with stock ROM's, he'd be *****ing about Blur, too. There's a HUGE difference between worship and appreciation. And also a big difference between worship/appreciation, and whatever the hell category he falls under.

You also have to be a member at least a year to see it
Edit: Marketplace Changes - UPDATED MARCH 10
Starting tonight, we will be implementing the rules detailed in our previous announcement (below) with a few modifications:
1. You may sell 5 devices per month instead of 2 (each device must be in a new thread).
2. All current registered members will be able to use the marketplace regardless of tenure on the site or number of posts. New members will NOT be able to use the marketplace until they accrue 50 posts and one year of XDA membership.
--=-=-=-=-==-=-=--=-=-=-=-=
We allow people to buy and sell in our XDA Marketplace forum. We realize that this is a great service to many, as it enables trading and selling of devices so that our members can always try to have the latest and greatest mobile devices.
Historically, we have taken a hands-off approach to the Marketplace, as our primary focus was to keep the XDA forums clean to enable the best environment possible for development. To avoid scams, we installed a feedback system last year that made users accountable. But, that hasn't been enough.
Effective 10 March, we will be placing tight new restrictions on the Marketplace to further avoid dishonest conduct. The following will be in effect for anyone to post in both the Wanting to Buy and Wanting to Sell forums:
1. You must have 50 posts
2. You must be a member of XDA for at least one year
3. If you are selling, you must take a photo of the phone with XDA as a backdrop on your screen with your username showing
4. If you are selling, you may only sell two devices per month, and each listing must be contained with its own thread
Also remember that transactions shall not take place via PM and that anything other than vital information (member information such as address, etc) for payment and shipping purposes, should be stated within the thread.

Sorry if I have broken any rules. And if I did it was because I didn't know of the existence of this section and that you had to comply with the rules already stated. But let me add that I might just have 100+ post, a minuscule count compare to most here, but you can verify that most of them have been to try to help members in some way or another and in a respectful manner. I know that this is a great community but some members need to chill and take things less serious at times. So please go ahead an delete the thread if it's your ultimate decision. And thanks.
That rule should not apply to this guy because he has been a member since last year...
Can you not see this forum?

Does anyone know which rom included cornerstone?

To all developers
I think cornerstone is the most important feature in tablet that distinguish tablet from our smartphones
So, could anyone can build cornerstone into a customed rom
And the code is opened for everybody
HTML:

It's buggy no one's going to use it. It's basically abandonware.

Not really a helpful response is it? It would have been better just to ignore.
You could try the Android Development forum.
Cornerstone roms are typically done by Team EOS, but I don't know that they've done one for the nexus.
It's not really all that helpful though when I've tried it. I prefer just using the recent apps button.

Huh? It was a comment on how many people ignore the rules of this forum and how its getting a little out of hand..
Anyways now that this is in the right section, I believe cornerstone is a dying effort since it doesn't seem to be very well optimized, i think it needs to be restarted from the ground up, also noting that the original team seems to have abandoned jt
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
So cornerstone has to be abandoned.
Does anyone know that is it possible to work like the multi screen function of Note 10.1?
It should be helpful that tablet can have a real multitasking function.

G+ Galaxy S5 Community

I've been looking for a good S5 community on G+.. I've not found one. I like to be able to post anything without worrying about breaking a rule. The only community I've found with any members has too many rules.. Including NO screenshots. That's no fun, IMO. So, before I create a community myself, I wanted to see if there is any interest. I did this with my M8 and since I began by asking here, in XDA, it's become a great place to share in all the things I, and I'm sure you, love about our devices. So please, let me know if anyone would be interested in joining. I'd like to be sure people will join before I create it.
Just so people don't get the wrong idea, XDA is a great place. I love it. It is a great place for development, troubleshooting and all things technical.
