[REQ] original Roms for XT720

Buddies,
can anyone upload the original roms for Milestone XT720? (SG, Kr, and other)
So we can do more testing worry free. If anything goes wrong, we can just flash it back to original. It would be nicer if someone can also show how to flash the rom.

Alright, I just crashed my phone into an infinite FC loop by messing with system/app, so a reflash was in order.
Here's how I successfully flashed it back to stock using Windows 7 32bit (dense text ahead):
1) Search somewhere along the lines of "RSDLite - download here" on google
2) Go inside first link, download the file that's named somewhere along the lines of "RSDLite_4.5.3.zip"
3) Install it.
4) Go to http://and-developers.com/sbf:xt720
5) Download the 2nd Full Flash rom, the one where the provider is "Southeast Asia"
6) Unzip that file, you now have a .sbf folder (not file)
7) Put that .sbf folder in C:\Users\Admin\My Documents
8) Shut down phone, take out battery
9) Hold Power + Volume Down + Camera buttons all at once
10) Put in the battery while holding those buttons
11) Phone is now in bootloader mode (screen looks like a command prompt)
12) Release the buttons, and plug USB to computer and phone
13) Open RSD Lite, your phone should be detected as connected (Device name was like "S OMAP 3440" or some BS like that)
14) Click "..." to browse for the .sbf file in C:\Users\Admin\My Documents
15) In RSD Lite, click to highlight your connected XT720, and then click "Start". The first column beside the connected phone should now have a green icon thing, and the ROM is being flashed.
16) DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PHONE, THE CABLE, OR THE COMPUTER! (I went and took a dump)
17) When the "Status" column in RSD Lite says "Please manually power up this phone", so shut it down and power it again. Note: The status stays in "Checksum Group 37" for a verrrrryyyy long time before saying "Rebooting". I thought it got stuck there, but it ended up ok.
18) Your XT720 is now reflashed to stock.
19) You can now close RSD Lite. It will complain saying you will damage the attached device, but I pulled it out wayyyy before this (I unhooked it when it told me to reboot manually) and my XT720 is not dead. You may choose to close RSD Lite before unhooking your XT720.
20) Post your results in this thread and confirm or reject my procedure.

I agree on this, i need a EU rom.

i am using an SG xt720. is there anyway to dump the rom?
@mariomsg1, i remember u have reflashed ur rom once before right? may i know where did u get the sg starhub rom last time? could u share it please. thanks

there latest ROM is STR_U2_01.18.2
mine is STR_U2_02.18.3 (bought unlocked retail version from expansys europe)
anybody got same unrooted ROM? Mine has problems, I am stuck with ROOT which stopped working after couple of days, and now I can neither un-root, nor root again.

U can flash with RSDlite. just need a sbf file.

Sorry, can i know how to put the phone into bootloader mode? I cant not find in google and this forum for xt720.

can not go to boot loader. Already press power and volume button

first you need to switch off the phone, then press camera button and power and keep those pressed until recovery icon appears. THEN press volume up and power, if I remember this correctly.

press play button and power, then press volume up and camera button

play button = small button next to the camera shutter

When i do the guide, phone at first go to recovery mode, and nothing happen. RSD lite can not recognize the phone. I use recovery mode to wipe cache and data like it said factory reset. Then i get stuck. Phone can not start up, stand at motorola logo.
I still can go to recovery mode, but not boot loader mode. And it appear error in recovery mode: E:\ can't open /cache/recovery/command. Now how can i repair my phone?

Sorry i cannot put the phone to bootloader mode. It get stuck at recovery mode when i press vol up and camera. And computer did not regconize the phone also. I guess that i still missed the way to go to boot loader. Can you please do a step by step guide? What kind of windows you use?

go to flashing mode directly by pressing volume up+camera button+power button. after that just flash the sbf in provided the windows can see ur phone. make sure u also install the required driver

cant get into download mode

im trying to get into dowload mode to use odin to flash back to the stock rom, but clockwork mod wont let me get into the dowload mode, is there any other way?
im using a samsung epic

1. turn off your phone
2. pull out your keyboard
3. take your finger, and hold the number "1" on your keboard.
4. while holding the "1", press the and hold the power key until download mode comes up.

[Q] I can't put my gt-9500 into download mode. Any suggestions?

I have this Galaxy s4 gt-9500 that won't go into the download mode by no means. Recovery is alright, however when I press the combination of buttons the phone won't go into download, but instead start booting up. I have tried jig and it did not help either.
Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks.

If there is something wrong with your download mode and if it's software
related then there is an easy fix for it.
If you have a custom recovery like cwm/twrp in your phone and if your phone
is already rooted then then all you need to do is to flash just about any i9500
compatible custom rom like the OMEGA rom.
Just about all the custom roms have a really nice shutdown feature so when you
press the power button for a couple seconds it comes up with a nice menu with
a few options including "download mode"!!!
If the phone goes into download using that feature then it also should go into
download mode using the button combination in your phone.
So if you still cannot get into download mode using the buttons it means that
the phone has hardware problems when trying to go into download mode.

Thank you for your reply, however as it appeared - this phone is fake, even though according to the IMEI it shows up as geniune. Hence all the problems with download mode and being rooted from the first day.
Problem solved.

[Q] Want my device working in anyway soon

My device constantly reboots without getting on for more than 2 sec. I tried recovery update as mentioned in many of the threads available here.
But as written there i am not able to select any option from the boot options available i can scroll down using back button but selecting a option never does occur I tried all the possible combination. Apart from that to get device working, I installed ODIN and did whatever was written but ODIN is not displaying my device. Anyone please help me it's urgent for me because that would save my life and I need to get a solution soon maybe as soon as possible. Do help me friends....:highfive:

Sir i already did install kies on my lappy means this drivers are automatically installed on my laptop isn't it? and why isn't it possible to select an option on my recovery sceen

as you said if none of these button is working what should I do if I wanted to wipe my cache or maybe install a custom rom through recovery? oh sorry i didn't see you asked me. Yes they are not working only back button do change the option hovered

Download mode is in korean
The screen which i get in download mode is Korean. Not knowing what to do. I'm feeling like stuck in a maze with no way out. The only things I can see on recovery update screen is
select boot mode:
volume up to select
volume down to ok
recovery mode
fastboot mode
normal boot

I read many a times this was something related to Korean clone of Samsung s4 but when i bought it from someone he never told me but now I need my phone working because I'm out of town and need my phone maybe for 2 days will do

[SOLVED] help...soft brick!

Hi,
Today I stuffed up my phone... I owned a Sony Acro S and Transformer Prime, which I flashed custom roms and recoveries on both with no issues.
I thought I'd be ok to try my G2...I was wrong.
I was able to root the device perfectly, then searching around I found an apk file for flashing twerp recovery. Which I did then I chose to reboot the phone, thats when I got stuck on the LG start up screen and the LED flashed blue and green. Then I realized the way I tried to put twerp on isnt suitable for my model.though saying that if I hold the power and down button I can get into twerp, but then I reboot and get stuck on the LG screen again.
I am on Stock Kitkat and my model number is D802T Australian version.
Please help... step by step help would be great.
I thought I knew what I was doing and no im confused.
I have searched and tried a few methods which I was unable to fix my issue.

Hmm, i dont know what you mean. By pressing the power and down button it takes me to a white factory reset screen, then takes me to twerp main screen.

Oh, so you can enter twrp ? Why don't you install a rom ?
download mode = power off the device. Hold volume up + connect to pc.

Thanks, i have fixed it phew!!!!
I tried putting it into download mode this morning, which it did then i followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471370 and it work flawlessly!!!!
