Apps that use the lock screen (ex poweramp) don't work with the finger unlock screen, ie, you have to use either a double lock screen (slide w/ widgets + fingerprint), which is a pita in my opinion. Can't we get widgets to work directly from the fingerprint unlock screen?

Might be more appropriate to ask this in in one of the CM7 threads.

There wouldn't really be room to fit it. You only have so much space.
I don't think we really need that much... the logo can go, only t the swipe a too short text needs to remain, maybe a clock

How can I add widgets to the lock screen ???
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Assuming you are using stock lock screen:
On the lock screen swipe all the way to the left, and you should finish on a screen with a big plus sign on it. Click the plus sign and select the widget to add (unfortunately not all support lock screen widgets yet but still a fair selection). To rearrange long press the widget and move it to suit. To delete, long press the widget, and drag to the trash can.
Also, try Dashclock from the play store, perhaps the only lock screen widget you need!

You can't use some lock screen widgets if you have a security lock screen thanks to Samsung being weird and annoying. Plus they removed the quick launch camera lock screen with their silly app matrix.
If you just use the slide to unlock feature then slide your finger from the top down and then left or right and you'll have the option of adding more.
You first have to enable them in the settings. Also you can enable quick camera instead of using the app matrix, you'll find that in the same place.... Main settings---> lockscreen ---> check the multiple widgets box. Tap the next box down to configure the quick launch camera as default instead of the app matrix should you choose.
im gettingvreally annoyed with unlovking d phone and the clock expands. Is there a way to remove the expand option?

Bumping this one ... Anyone knows how to get a clean unlock screen like S3 for example ?
Are we all on the same page here.... sometimes the lock screen will go haywire and show some mini applications, or boxes that have edit options? Like adding stuff to the lock screen when you didn't ask for it... ? Anyway to turn it off.... Might have to buy a custom locker
I dont have any widgets/apps on the lockscreen, but its kind of annoying when the clock expands and makes it hard to unlock the phone....
I guess we got too used to the "slide from anywhere to unlock" feature. Just slide at the very bottom and youre golden every time

If you slide downward from the clock widget or any other screen widget, this feature allows you to edit the current widget, add a new one, or replace.
Buddy of mine got the S4, when he swipes down on the lock screen the widgets come down, the little pad lock and circle to actually unlock the phone never move, often it takes multiple attempts to finally unlock the phone. When I had my S4 I remember the lock and circle moving around? Is there some setting he had active or deactivated that is causing that?

I've noticed this too. If you grab the bottom of the widget box around the clock you can resize it. If you drag it all the way up, as tight around the clock as possible, then the unlock screen works as you would expect, but when you have expanded the widget box, you get this issue with the lock you are describing. I hope this helps.
Ps if you swipe on the clock from left or right you will see the border of the widget. It's kinda hard to grab and resize. If you expand it all the way down it shows a button to edit the widget.

Does anyone know if that white widget box to the left of the clock on the lock screen is normal? I've never seen it before. Lastly, is it removable?

I think the question is why does the area show up highlighted for an instant when there is no widget to display? It's especially noticeable in landscape orientation.

If you don't touch fairly close to the unlock symbol when you first start up from screen-off mode, the lock screen will let you swipe to another (perhaps not yet set) lock screen. That's what you're seeing. My problem is that I can't remember how to set up the secondary screen LOL!
Edit: Just swipe to the +, tap and add the widget. Too simple!
