[Q] Trebuchet Launcher Questions - Kindle Fire General

Hey Guys,
Quick question about Trebuchet on the Kindle Fire. So I know it has the sticky buttons running down the right and left side of the screen. While I like them on the right, I don't really use them on the left side.
Is there any way to disable them on the left and reclaim that column for widgets?
Thanks,
E

Install the Apex launcher.

Ah okay great. I'll give that a shot.
Suck I have to reconfigure everything though!

Question about apex pro app drawer

Hey all. Got a small but frustrating issue. I've got apex launcher, pro version. The app drawer has margins on both sides. Basically, its black empty space and I can't see the option in settings to get rid of them. I do see the margins settings for home screens but not for app drawer. Are they just not there?

Hi there,
Got exactly the same question! Did you ever find out?
Cheers

The Launcher Screen

When I hit the home button - I can go to the default Lancher screen or the SPB Shell.
If I choose the Launcher and then go to all my icons, the icons do not "turn". I have my Nexus 7 in a case with a Bluetooth keyboard, so the tablet is almost always in landscape mode. Is there a way to have the icons show up in landscape mode?
Thank you!

The stock "launcher" will not turn to landscape. You will have to use a third party launcher like nova or apex. Both are based off the jelly bean launcher but give you lots of options.

Like previously said, if you are using the stock launcher then it wont rotate for you automatically, unless you were to get the dock for the tablet but who knows when that will be released. So you should get a third party app such as Nova or Apex Launcher but you might have to mess around with the settings (ie check off some options in them) to get it rotating.
Sorry about that, I thought I was in the right forum. Dogs woke me up way too early.
Nova or Apex, I'll take a look at those as well while working with SPB on another issue.

can the apps draw order be changed, it`s alphabetical by default?

I have the Razr i, no answer from the Razr i forum, but the M should be the same, I want it ordered with last installed apps first, can anybody help me here.
Thanks
John.
The built in launcher only sorts alphabetically.

you can easily use a third party launcher (but then no moto circles widget for you lol)

Stupid Question Alert

Ok, so how the heck do you add widgets to the Home Screen?
When I long press all I get is the wallpaper option.
Sorry, but thanks
Go to the app drawer.

From ICS onwards (no one cares about Honeycomb) widgets were moved to the applications tray/drawer. At the top you can switch between apps and widgets.

working launchers

Hey guys just wanted to see what luck everyone has with launchers on the hdx 7.
My favorite launcher is nova, but until the wallpaper issue is fixed for non rooted users then it looks I'm stuck with using aviate.
In case you haven't gotten around to trying it, aviate seems to be 100% working, widgets wallpapers and all. Great alternative to mojito.
I haven't tried on a non rooted device but apex works great on my rooted hdx.

None if you don't root. AND the reason Aviate Works is it's portrait only, so it never has to worry about the reverse rotation issue.

That would be cool. I'll check both of those out when I get home tomorrow. I use go launcher ex but it sucks with no widgets or background. I'm non-rooted.

If you're looking for a more traditional android experience, buzz launcher works backgrounds and all but no joy on widgets.
